The artists/musicians are so talented and the staff and owners are amazing!!! The environment is sold relaxed and honestly, if you want to just have a chill time with some comfortable, velvet lounge seating with amazing food and drinks, this is a great night out. They have a great weekly events and are worth making the trip no matter where you are as I travel from Downtown Phoenix and love it here. I come here at least twice a month. Make sure to try the nachos and be Caprese salad, but also just give it a try. You're guaranteed to have a wonderful time, listening to some of the best music out here. We attended a seminar for Medicare 101 given by Amy and Cody Jorgensen Family Insurance. The seminar was great. The staff at Westside Blues and Jazz were so attentive and personable. We had just eaten prior to coming to the seminar so we weren't hungry. They made us some of their appetizers to go. They were delicious!! Caprese Salad and Hummus and veggies. Thrilled that we have a live music venue in the neighborhood that's open past 8! I had no idea it was here until looking for something to do when plans fell through a few months ago. Wide variety of performers, many who are special, out-of-town treats. The drink menu is fun and creative, and plenty of zero proof options too. The vibe was casual, warm and inviting--exactly what I look for in the Phoenix area for the arts: approachable and easy to get into but with solid talent as well. My friend recently stumbled across this spot so we went to check out jam night. There is a $5 cash only cover on jam night unless you're a musician going to perform. There is a two drink minimum per person as well. We didn't mind these things and rolled right in. We got a nice seat and were greeted right away by warm people both employees and other jam night goers. We got our drinks and food ordered and they came quickly. All of it was super good and very enjoyable alongside the music. It's a cozy environment full of good folks, good music, and good drinks and food. Highly recommend following them in social media so you can keep up with their live music offerings. We will be back on a regular basis and highly recommend this fun spot on the west side of the valley! read more

This place usually has good bands. It prides itself in being an upscale club. They require everyone to buy at least 2 drinks. It costs my boyfriend and I $50 for two sodas and two mixed drinks. They automatically add on a 20% tip and also charge about 3% extra if you are using a card. We paid $45 for the two of us to sit on stools for the night. So that was almost $100 just to sit in their club and hear a band. Never again. We have gone to other clubs with no cover charge, no drink minimum and with great bands. Nope/ won't do that again. Having recently moved to the area, I wanted to find a place for jazz/blues. I was a bit skeptical about a shopping center in the suburbs but it turned out to be amazing! The service was great with very attentive staff, great accommodations, and a wide variety of drink options. The music was great and I/we were happy to stay the entire time! They put on a very passionate show and the time flew by! Even the charcuterie board was very well put together especially for $28. I took my husband to Westside Blues for his birthday and we had an amazing time! There's a two drink minimum, but doesn't have to be alcohol. You can purchase tickets on line. The food was good and the jazz band was amazing and did a tribute to Ray Charles. I wasn't sure what to expect because a tribute has the potential to go really bad but they were amazing! Service is great and there's a lot of locals that are regulars at these shows. It feels like being part of a community, a family. The owner is always there, dancing and having a great time. $6 club soda.$7 for a coke. The music was great. The service was meh and they add the 20% automatically to your bill you know this going in, but the drinks are small and watered down. I chose to get a beer instead can't water that down but to charge someone $6 for club soda is ridiculous. I will not go back. read more

My only real issue was the total cost by the end of the night. We bought tickets in advance for the 7/25/25 show to meet up with friends. It ended up selling out, so I do recommend buying early. This was our first time there, and overall, we had a good time. That said, the automatic 20% gratuity takes away from what gratuity is supposed to be--a way to show appreciation and reward good service. I'd say our service was average. The food is limited and overpriced. I initially had no issue with the two-drink minimum until I saw the bill. I had four basic iced teas, which came out to $7 each--$28 total--while my wife had three beers for just $21. As someone who's been sober for over five years, I honestly might have broken that streak if I had known tea would cost more than beer. I wasn't aware I'd be charged per glass. I ordered it, so I paid for it, but the feeling of being taken advantage of--especially over something as simple as tea--left a bad taste. read more

It's always a must on our vacation calendar in Phoenix/Scottsdale. They also book the best performers. Servers are friendly and attentive. The food is fairly priced for the quality received. If you haven't been to the Westside Blues & Jazz, you are missing out! We went last night and were thoroughly impressed by the talented musicians, comfortable atmosphere and fun vibes. Our group sat in a corner filled with comfy couches and relaxing chairs that had a perfect view of the band. The band was straight out of Louisiana and we were all tempted to book a trip to New Orleans to keep the party going. We will definitely be back to Westside Blues & Jazz to see more bands. read more

I've gone to this place multiple times and always had a good time. But on 5/27/2025 my last visit was a little strange. I believe they have switched ownership again and the Vibe in the place was all I can say very different. LET'S START OFF WITH IF YOU WANT TO SIT AT THE BAR YOU HAVE TO purchase A TICKET FOR $28.00 plus a 2 drink minimum and still not guaranteed a seat. In addition to paying $52 for 2 Cadillac margaritas that were watered down. The music in between sets from the band were horrible didn't even match the genre of music the band was playing a total mood killer. Imagine listening to R & B then listening to hard rock in between. Well not exactly Hard Rock but close to it. Sad to say but I won't be back anytime soon. read more

Great little place, great bartenders, and a fun crowd of adoring regulars. I just wish two things: A sound mixer like they used to have who knew wtf they were doing, and not slapping an automatic 20% tip on every check. I was there tonight and the band was great, but the mix was different everywhere I went. Over here, where I was mostly stationed, it's all guitar and no keyboard at all. Over there, it's all keyboard. And no matter what, can't hear a goddamned thing the singer was saying. Total mud. But, nice crew, nice crowd, fun band, good times. A bar that clicks with its clientele, and that's worth a lot. Just gotta remember the not-so-little things that make up the total experience, if you're going to have a place based on the music, then make it so the musicians can all be heard. read more
