I dont know what I was expecting, but what we walked into I'm definitely here for it! I am so glad we stopped on a whim here tonight. The parking lot was packed for a rainy Sunday night. Outside patio just as full and standing room only when we walked inside. Amazing live music going and it was obvious a birthday was going on for a very loved person. Even with all the people the bartender didn't skip a beat and saw us instantly. We had drinks in seconds. Somehow soon after we were able to grab a table with a great view of the stage. Everyone in here was having such a great time, dancing, singing along and they even brought me a cupcake, yay! Ha ha I'm always down for cake. Me, my wife and my daughter came here to watch the Ohio State v Xichigan football game. They had a huge screen w good sound. The half-pound burger that I had and the Rueben that my wife and daughter shared were excellent. Beer was good and my shot of tequila was plentiful. I was in town to visit my Fiancé and we were invited here in celebration for her friend's birthday! Neither of us had been here before. All in all, its a great place to have some eats, drinks, listen to music, and definitely people watch! The music was great metal music and on point. Mixed bag on this one. Nice enough sports bar kind of dark but enough TVs to keep you entertained. I started off with the potato skins which were really good the bacon was nice and crisp the potato itself was nice and soft and warm. However, the western bacon burger had a lot to be desired. The burger had like no flavor no Char no nothing it was just Bland and the onion ring was just like you would get out of a bag of onion rings and the rest was just garnish. The french fries also tasted kind of Frozen. I was in a hurry here but this wasn't going to the top of my list of sports bars I would frequent anytime in the future. read more

Kimmyz is great for some live rock and roll music and the vibes are cool. Great for dancing and enjoying your time if your with a date or out with friends..and want to meet someone new. Very friendly environment with awesome customer service. Nice size patio for people to sit outside as well. The entertainment never disappoints me and I love the bands that perform here. The burgers are great except for the really long black hair that I pulled out of my mouth while eating one. I didn't say anything to them because they were swamped but I wasn't happy. I was kinda circling the bar place was packed and could not get bartender attention, so I walk over to the waitresses station and sure enough she saw me standing there..."What can I get you" gave her my order and bam I had a beer. Not sure where to start...LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Before I moved to the neighborhood, I'd been to this place a couple times. Now that I live here (not the bar, the neighborhood), this is my nirvana. Walking in the door is just like putting on a comfy pair of shoes. The bar is perfectly set up a couple stairs and the rest of the bar seems to welcome you with open arms. The decor, consisting of guitars, sports memorabilia, and libations signs is well, just perfect. There's a bazillion TVs with every sport on. And if it's not on, they'll put it on. The food is typical bar food (they do have specials, which I hear are yummy), which works for me cuz this body wasn't built on sprouts and tofu. The clientele...wide range from bikers, to working stiffs, to suits. to...well grumpy old nurses (my gf and I). And the staff... AWESOME!!! I wish I knew all their names but I'm old and forgetful. Big shout out to Laura K (usually at Tatum location), Kalene, Jackie, Karina and Hannah. They're always sweet and willing to engage in "banter". Makes the visit just that much more pleasant. The only thing I wish for here is a bigger patio. It's not large and it's prime seating that is full by 3:30pm most days. But you may get lucky. Come on over and save my a seat if you do. read more

First visit on a Friday night was SO fun! We stayed much later than we were planning because we were having such a good time. Prices are very reasonable. Menu is pretty typical bar food and it's SO good. We got an app sampler and prime rib sliders. Sliders had actual sliced prime rib! So good! Really enjoyed the live band! Service was good. Bathrooms were clean and in good condition. Patio had misters blasting and was full. Crowd was a wide variety from single bikers to people on dates to retired couples. Definitely biker friendly but don't let that intimidate you--I saw no colors or cuts at all. Everyone was welcomed. We're looking forward to going back!!! read more

Not necessarily whole wall place but still kind of talked to in a strip mall. I wasn't expecting much but after seeing the good reviews this place received my fiancé and I decided to try it out. I ordered a steak dinner and he had the Philly cheesesteak. I'm gonna say that the food was a lot better than I expected I thought it was pretty cool too that they had a band that was playing live music that night as well my only complaint that I was just a little bit loud I wasn't expecting there to be music that night so I made it kind of hard for my fiancé and I talk to each other but that's not like I said it's not really complain it's just I wasn't expecting it. So, we live in south Phoenix and drive anywhere to have great draft beers and fun. We often end up at the Arrowhead area (used to be Rock Bottom groupies) but stop once or twice a year at Kimmyz. It's a really neat venue and we've always had great and friendly service. Got some apps today, wings and fried zucchini. Per bar food, they are good. Lots of locals who are extremely friendly. It's lunchtime. There's a bar right there. It's Kimmyz on Greenway. Meh. Bar food is bar food, right? Wrong. Stopped in, bellied up to the bar, was pleasantly greeted by Lindsey, who had a great smile and immediately made me feel welcomed. I ordered a Philly Cheesesteak-add mushrooms, & side of tits. I mean tots, but if you're looking for the former you'd can probably find them here too. Food came out sizzling hot, melty, honestly perfect. Toasted bun, soft but steaming. I took a giant bite and it just sang. Seasoned perfectly, buttery, cheesey, and great sautéed mushrooms. If Heaven served barfood it would be quinoa and ricecakes. Kimmyz' is more like the barfood they serve in Hell. It's decadent and evil. I'm telling you theses folks can cook up some tasty fuckin grub. Bartender Lindsey had her head on a swivel, was the only service staff on the floor, but was highly aware of the entire place, juggled, multiple drink/beer/food/music volume/tv channels/cash flow/etc with ease. She's probably never seen me before but she treats me like I'm the most important person in the bar. I'm sure the others feel that way too. I'm quite amazed and set my expectations too low before I walked in. The regulars seem quite friendly and warm. This should be your neighborhood bar. There's a stage in the corner and they even give our local musicians a place to do what they love. I give it all the stars they'll let me. Wonderful job Kimmy. You're making it happen.
