I've been here a few times and must say I have had entirely too much fun each visit. It's located right at Bankhead and Northside so easy to get. There's free parking on site but if it's full, there's plenty of nearby options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of tvs around, a huge outdoor area, and I like the fact that it's a place where you can kinda move around in terms of hanging inside a bit and going outside for a bit for a change in scenery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] During my last visit back, I had the catfish nuggets and my husband had the Philly cheesesteak. The catfish nuggets were hot and fresh but the fries were a tad bit salty for me. My husband enjoyed his Philly and the portion sizes were good for the price. They do add gratuity (20%) in the price which I get but that also means service should be stellar at all times and there have been a few times I've gone and the service was very ho hum. My husband and I stopped by to catch part of the NBA Finals, and it was a great experience! Westside Motor Lounge filled a void that was pretty uninhabited when it first opened. There wasn't much in the area to eat or drink at in the time. The last time I was there earlier this year, it's definitely been much developed. I have a love-hate relationship with Westside Motor Lounge. My first time here I stopped by after a food festival down the street at Guardian Works and my brand new car was parked in the uncovered parking lot - and of course got hailed on. The hail dent marks of shame are still there on the hood and roof of my car to this day two and a half years later. Their cheeseburger with fries is perfect with a beer - they have a great draft beer selection and whenever I see Lord Grey, I have to order it. They also have a draft espresso martini that seems lazy but I'm not mad at it since it's pretty tasty. The kale Caesar salad is a great option if you're wanting something a bit lighter. At this point, Westside Motor Lounge is my go-to when I want a great atmosphere, strong cocktails, and some of the best wings in the city. I stop by every year for their holiday bar and seasonal cocktails, and it never disappoints. This visit, I tried the Clausemopolitan, which was really good and perfectly on theme for the holidays. Of course, I couldn't come here without ordering wings. I went with the Honey Jerk wings and the Lemon Pepper wings, and once again, they were phenomenal. Consistently crispy, well seasoned, and full of flavor. These are truly some of the best wings around, and they never miss. After food and drinks, I decided to pop into the Echo Room to dance off the cocktails and wings. That's when I learned there's now a $10 cover charge. I don't necessarily mind a cover, but it was new for me, so I opted to hang outside and dance a bit while waiting for my ride. Even outside, the vibe was still good, which honestly says a lot about the space. Overall, Westside Motor Lounge is a solid recommendation, especially if you're bringing friends or visitors from out of town. I love everything about WML except for the food. They have got to improve the food experience especially on days when there are big events. Each time I have ordered food I have been disappointed. It's usually cold and not well seasoned at all. This salad for example was drenched way too much in dressing and the chicken bites were cold and hard to chew. First time here, and honestly not what I expected. I stopped by for the Pop Up Christmas Bar hoping for a few Christmas "Spirits" and photo ops. So I was here for an event and an event went off really well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's plenty of space for everybody to move outside, and there's even some seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's not a kind of spot where you can bring your own lawn chair necessarily, but they do have patio furniture sprawled throughout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] So for parking they do have parking areas. And they have a parking lot as well as a structure. But honestly I would suggest you doing a ride share. Get a lift or an Uber The event that I went to had multiple bars there so there's always a place to get a drink. And to catch some shade! I won't fault the establishment for this but the bars didn't very slow but in all fairness there was a lot of people there that they probably couldn't handle the capacity. So you may be standing in line for a good 15 to 20 minutes just for one drink. It's not like anybody was in a rush but that is something that's definitely noticeable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was set up very well and it was very clean. They made sure to make it presentable for us.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have several bars and they had a place to order food. The food they had there on the inside was mostly fried foods like bar foods. You may get some chicken wings or a fish sandwich or something along those lines. So don't expect anything fancy but if you've been sitting in the sun and drinking you'll need something on your stomach. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sun was the worst part about it, there was not really much shade. Which if you're trying to be outside and you want that kind of feeling, it's not a big deal. But in the Atlanta area where the heat can get to 95°, it was pretty aggressive and they didn't have that many places that had umbrellas or anything similar for that[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. That wasn't a deal breaker, but it was just the fact that they didn't have as much shaded areas to go to and there was a high number of people that really didn't do well. But to compensate, they did have free water drums there that you can fill cups with so they did take us into consideration with that so I thought that was really good. A lot of places may charge for water but they knew it was going to be hot so they gave free water. They have food and drink of course, and they also have hookah that they were selling there as well. So you could really just sit there and vibe all day. I thought it was really good, and they had people who had cigars there so they are smoke friendly shop if you're interested in that. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall I'm going to try to go to more events here, I really enjoyed the environment. Maybe not it 97° outside lol but I thought it was still very well put together. Not sure if it's a new trend but if your prices are steep the owners can afford to pay their bar tenders a living wage and not 'enforce' gratuity. Love love love this spot!! This is such a hidden gem in Westside. The large outdoor event space is perfect for the weekend. They have lots of different fun areas to hang out with friends. The cocktails are awesome and they have great food!! I was shocked a fun spot like this could have such great food. They have an amazing chef we got to meet who created amazingly crafted dishes. Customer service does not exist, not only have I been there twice and my card was billed for other customers tabs, 5 cars, including my sister's and my cars were vandalized while their security guard was in the parking lot and didnt see anything...and they still wanted us to pay our tab while we were dealing with APD regarding cars. Cinco de mayo fun here at westside lounge, they had an event here, and it was a ton of fun. It was my first time in the venue, I didn't know how huge it was because I only saw it from the side of the road. Very spacious, has both indoor and outdoor sections to it. There was plenty of space for different events and occasions, and I was very shocked to see the entire space. The service was really good considering the number of people that were there, definitely long lines to get food but that was to be expected. Bartenders were friendly and responsive again for a busy day like Cinco de mayo it was extremely busy. I was a little disappointed in the food, not because of taste though, it was the lack of variety there were only two different vendors for food and they were obviously both selling tacos. With that being said the food was good, I just would have loved to see more food trucks/vendors. read more

I've been here on a Friday night and a Saturday night. Neither times we're too busy but Saturday was little busier. This is a laid back spot to grab a few drinks and late night drinks bonus, they have a few tvs so you might be able to catch a game. They don't have an extensive drink menu but maybe that'll change over time. I have yet to dine on the dinner menu but I've had the fries in the late night snack menu. They're seasoned well and a good amount for the price. I've had a few if the cocktails with the electric echo being my favorite (mezcal drink) and a close second being the exile in English (gin drink with refreshing flavors). As they're still kind of newish, they've been out of a few things each time I've gone, from drinks on tap to the snack foods. The bartenders are friendly and make good drinks. I think this will be an awesome place to go to in the summer with the lawn activities, beer garden, and stage they have outside. Also some nice decor and random stuff for IG pics. read more

Visited on a Saturday with my husband for a quick bite in the area. It's a cute spot with plenty of seating outdoors and a garage style door. It was a sunny day but a little windy so we opted to sit inside. When you go, you can choose a table and then you'll go to the counter to order food and drinks. Or you can order drinks at the bar. The menu isn't extensive. He wasn't that hungry so he ordered the fried oyster appetizer with a beer. I ordered the mushroom sandwich with fries and a margarita. He chose a table while I went next door to the coffee shop to use the bathroom. The coffee shop was quiet and spacious. There are 2 bathrooms, nice size and clean. When I got back to the table he had the drinks, so we sipped, talked, and watched one of the many college football games that were on. Food came out and the oyster dish seemed a little small for the price and didn't seem to be a sharable size. My mushroom sandwich on the other hand looked delicious. The fried oysters were ok, nothing special. My sandwich was good and flavorful. The coleslaw added a nice contrast to the smoky mushrooms. Fries could've been more crispy but they were good. He enjoyed his beer and my margarita was ok, nothing special. They do need to redo the parking lol. There were dips in there that made me scared for my car, but my car was fine. I went here for a private birthday party. Apparently my group were scheduled to be outside but it was raining. Two other events were going on. The hostesses were incredibly rude and condescending. There was a covered area where no one was seated but we were told we could not wait wait there and we had to wait in the rain. The tone of the hostesses was mean and flat out ugly. I noticed how their attitudes seemed to be directed at one group. I am not a complainer nor do I do these posts regularly but I thought it should be known that this establishment treated me as if I should not be there. I went to Westside Motor Lounge today for a food festival that was being held there - Punk Foodie Fest - and I had a great time! It's a really great property. They have a cool indoor restaurant with garage doors that open up to the outside patios. They have outdoor tables scattered around the grounds, as well as various lawn games. All of the staff working were very friendly, and they had a great beer and cocktail menu. I had their frozen pink Cadillac margarita and it was delicious! Been riding passed this place for almost a year and finally stopped by to check it out. Unfortunately not much to see or do here. Great concept, nice patio and open area but I cannot speak on the food because we left 5 minutes after we sat down. Clearly this place is mostly about drinking.....several pages of drinks on the menu and very small food options. Literally just a 1 page food menu with 4-5 entree choices and a few side items. 5 minutes was all that we needed to figure out that there was nothing for us to eat or do here and we needed to find a place to go.....luckily I had several back up places for us to go. Message to owner/ manager: this place has potential. While I don't expect to have a huge 3-4 page menu it would be nice to have a few more options on the menu and some more games. On scale of 1-5, hot Chicken Curry Sandwich was a 3.5. Food was fresh, fast and pretty good. Service was friendly. Hosts and Bar Service provided great experience. I came here to hangout with a friend for his birthday. I love the fact that they have a parking lot right in the front of the establishment. If the lot gets full you are also able to park in a paid deck that is a 2 minute walk away. The staff here were friendly and the mixed drinks were ok. Our party ordered various items like the wings, fish sandwhich, fish tacos, philly eggrolls, and veggie eggrolls. The wings, fries, and philly eggrolls were good. However the items with the fish were a no go. When the server brought out the plates with the fish you could smell the fishyness before we saw it (yikes). They have a really awesome outdoor setup up with games and stage for live music. But really all they have is the vibe and setup. We were the only people there on a Sunday at lunch time and service was nonexistent. Everyone seemed to not be at work and with flat indifferent attitudes. Normally I wouldn't care but the service was nonexistent so it just added to it. The food was quite mediocre and not worth the try. Was waiting with anticipation and so happy this spot is finally officially open! The space is HUGE with different concepts and areas in the works for patrons to enjoy. Sat at the main bar and ordered the Fried Chicken Bites (with the sauce on the side) and Collards & Cornbread to eat and a Rosé wine to drink. The Fried Chicken Bites were seasoned and fried just right to make an amazing snack. The Collards were cooked well and had great texture but lacked the flavor punch one would expect from Grandma's collards. The Cornbread was light and fluffy with what tasted like bits of creamed corn but it was not sweet at all. I like my cornbread with a hint of sweet but it was not a deal breaker because it was still pretty good. The rosé and the other drinks I had were good and I enjoyed the overhead music that was playing through the speakers. 3.5 stars. TL;DR: Great little spot for a group of friends or even a date, BUT it's so (undeservingly) empty! ARRIVAL: It's a quick turn off just off Northside dr and has a number of free gravel parking spots available. Probably not enough to accommodate a full house. AMBIANCE: The vibe is very chill because of how empty it was on a Saturday night over the summer, but it would be more of a vibe if there were more people. They have good beer garden games: corn hole, shuffleboard. The building with the ping pong tables that we were excited for were closed, but we would have loved to do that. There were only a handful of people there, spread throughout the entire property when we arrived around 7p. There's somewhat limited indoor seating and it can get very loud in there very quickly. A large group was in there and it became VERY loud but it was still very empty at the same time. MENU/FOOD: The food menu isn't expansive, but has something for everybody. We got the smashburgers that seemed really overpriced having seen the menus from 2022 for $8, it came out to be about $20 each. My friends got the fried okra and mac and cheese that looked delicious. The burgers were fine, but took longer to come out than quoted and the bun was too tall and not very soft; even a bit hard. The fries were really good and well seasoned. DRINKS: The drinks were all good and the bartender we had was extremely friendly. The cocktail wanted wasn't available, so he suggested another concoction that wasn't on the menu and went through each ingredient with me because i'm very particular on my drinks. He was really knowledgable about the spirits they had and could speak on them all with customers. CLEANLINESS: The tables and bar were clean, but again, it was VERY empty most of the night so i'm not sure what it would be like if it was a busier time. SERVICE: The service was a bit confusing as we all ordered our food at the bar but we had to pick up our food there and my friends food was delivered to the table. I'm not certain if they normally deliver or clear the tables, but they did throughout our time there and even took drink orders from the table. EXPERIENCE: Seriously CANNOT believe how empty this place is, but it had a comfortable volume and all the staff were friendly. PRICE: Food was overpriced imo, drinks were on par. OVERALL: Overall this place has a lot of space and has games, but not enough for a full house of guests to be playing games. Approaching the lounge, I noticed they had a medium-sized parking lot that was a little tight and awkward, but I managed to find a spot. When I visited,  the parking area was not fully paved and uneven.  I walked over to join the group I was meeting. We reviewed the beer menu, which mainly featured offerings from local Atlanta breweries. I settled on a "Bright Day Coming" Hazy IPA from Three Taverns Brewing. Inside the lounge, they were hosting multiple rounds of Music Bingo. The DJ played the tunes, and participants marked off songs on a digitally downloaded bingo card on their phones. It was fun to play along for a few rounds.  While enjoying the music, I ordered a Hot Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich hit the spot and went well with my Hazy IPA. Afterwards, I took a walk around the extensive property. The place itself was pretty spacious, offering plenty of indoor and outdoor areas to relax and enjoy your beer.  Overall, my first visit was very enjoyable, and I'd definitely return to explore more beers and menu items.
