Came here recently for their generous happy hour deal and was not impressed. The chips that came with the avocado dip were all stale. The hummus was bland and the pita that came with it was barely warm. The pork belly looked more like bacon and was cooked too long, extremely dry instead of the juicy pork belly one normally finds at restaurants. The croquettes were fine at least and our server was nice. The patio area wasn't very clean and cluttered with all sorts of decor like cheap plastic flowers falling off the window panes and inflatables. Overall: the happy hour is cheap here because the food is not good. I would not come back or recommend to anyone else. read more

This was my first time visiting this establishment and I love the ambience. I also love the patio as well as the speakeasy. So my friend and I started all on the patio and our Server was actually our Bartender as well. His name is Adwin. The service was impeccable, considering he was alone and running everything on his own. I was super impressed with the cocktails that he made for us as well as the attentiveness of our service once again, considering he was alone. We ordered some tapas as well as a hookah and the young lady who provided the hookah for us was very welcoming as well. All I can say is this place deserves five stars because of Adwin. I am also recommending that this young man receive some sort of compensation for all of the hard work that he did while we were there. read more

It wasn't worth the $25 entry fee after we simply walked in, went downstairs, & sat ourselves at a table that just so happen to be available. It was advertised as a "dance party", but it was in a tiny hole in the wall hookak/bar area. It had thee tiniest "dance floor" that barely accommodated a handful of folks line dancing without stopping to avoid a collision. I had to ask if we were in the right space & we even went back upstairs to double check. This might be better as a walk in taco Tuesday or happy hour vibe, but leave the themed events to other establishments. The waitress & crowd was cool, but otherwise this experience was just "ok." If you insist, at least decorate the area & have an on theme menu. I tried this spot recently with my friend. The service was about 3.5 stars but food 3 stars. My stomach was not feeling well that day so we only ordered two tapas and three sides. The flavors were OK. I tried the sautéed shrimp. The meat tasted fresh, the broth went well with the shrimp. But I do not understand why this "sautéed" stuff was served with lots of broth, and tasted like it was poached in broth. Moreover, the shrimp was just slightly bigger than the Publix white shrimp but cost $16 for four! ... I was allergic to octopus so I did not try the other dish. My friend thought this sour-ish dish was interesting, as she neither had octopus with artichoke, nor with the cajun seasoning. For the sides, we got the rice for $7, pico de gallo for $5 and pita for $1. The rice seemed to be cooked with coconut milk, though the flavor of coconut is very subtle. The pico de gallo was disappointing: not only was it extremely tiny but it lacked cucumbers and jalapenos (there was, however, red chili flakes). The pita weighed about 74g (2.6oz) and had some whole wheat. Looks like something store-bought. The server was very unfamiliar with the menu. Worse, no one in the restaurant reminded me of dishes that use octopus, squid, calamari, etc. which I am allergic to. Besides, the menu was very "concise"; for example no meat or cheese choices were listed for the charcuterie platter. read more

The food was actually really good but Cinco de Mayo is not their strong suit. They weren't that prepared for the crowds. We were a party of 5 and we were told the wait time to be seated was 35 minutes, we were sat after about 50 minutes of waiting. The service was attentive however just slow. We ordered our margaritas first and received them an hour and a half later. Our appetizers came out and all of our food did too before the drinks did. We also ordered an additional avocado dip which never came out. The avocado dip however was very tasty. It's the same taste of guacamole but the consistency is much creamier. I also had the beef empanada and steak taco which were both very flavorful. I also recommend the guava margarita. It was very loud in there which I believe was due to the holiday/DJ. read more

FUN! Vibrant! Delicious food and festive holiday-joint! I was SO pleasantly surprised and impressed with Sebastian Pintxos Bar!! I had no expectations going in, and had never heard of the spot. Upon entering, eating engulfed me in a wonderful winter Wonderland of Christmas decor. We were hosting a Work dinner/happy hour here, and to my surprise (given the designation of being a "bar"), the footprint of the restaurant is vast and highly conducive to a group meal. The food was extremely delicious. I would go back just to have some of that! We were able to get a little bit of everything, but I especially loved what I think was a chimichurri skirt steak! The service was so excellent and accommodating. We had a lot of moving pieces with our large party, and they were happy to be flexible our wonderful server then generously spent a good bit of time taking group photos of us! Overall, I loved this experience, I hope to go back soon, and I highly recommend this place for a group/work event location! Especially in the winter with the festive decor! read more

I was disappointed by the lack of transparency from our waitress. She didn't explain that ordering a "double" (thinking she meant double shot) would be charged as two drinks or that an 18% gratuity was automatically included. Additionally, the waitress never showed us the itemized bill and went straight to the payment screen, so we weren't shown the breakdown which what made me ask more questions. Total was $130+ for 2 for $40 brunch, 2 doubles and 1 single drink... The total didn't seem right, so I had to email the restaurant to get a copy of the itemized receipt. That's when I realized a dish we never received had still been on the bill as well. I don't mind paying for what I order, but I do expect transparency. A quick explanation of the charges while ordering and an opportunity to review the itemized bill before payment would have made for a much better experience. From beginning to end, the performance, the presentation and the vibes are 100! We started with the tableside sangria cart, which you can build from start to finish - whether you want red or white sangria and what toppings you would like. Definitely a nice touch. We sipped on our sangria while watching the flamenco dancer performing. We also tried some cocktails - the butterfly pea & lavender Negroni was a beautiful gin cocktail, a gorgeous purple and also tasty. The blackberry lemongrass espresso martini was also a fun show - the bartender torches the espresso beans right before your eyes before topping the cocktail with them. Next, tapas! We loved EVERYTHING, from the fresh oysters and hamachi crudo to the bombas de iberico and the pulpo a la Vida. And of course we had to order paella - definitely get the seafood! AND DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT DESSERT - we ended up ordering 3 to share. I couldn't choose one favorite, they were all tasty. We tried the churros espanoles, the crema catalana and the tarta de queso vasca. Definitely try at least one! The outdoor patio was a bit chilly in January (yes, a very late review) but would be perfect in the upcoming fall weather, especially with the colorful umbrellas hanging overhead. First time visiting Sebastian before a show at the Fox. It's on Juniper and I walked over from the Fox parking so I did not notice the parking situation. When I arrived I was greeted by the host who sat me even though my friend's reservation was not found and I was the first of four to arrive. It happened to be Taco Tuesday and by the time everyone arrived we had ordered a lot of food and drinks. I had the dragon fruit lemonade me and some of the other gals had dragonfruit margaritas. We were told they make their own dragonfruit syrup and it was so good. For dinner we split the avocado dip, croquettes, Brussels sprouts and papayas fritas. I had chicken tacos as well. Everything was so good and came out warm. The area had music playing and soccer matches on the TVs. Once we finished it was off to the Fox. It is about a ten minute walk so keep that in mind if you are going before a show. I will be back. read more

So this was a pretty solid spot. I ended up going for happy hour and really only majority had drinks. But I'll get to that. So this spot is midtown and there is no free parking. There is a lot right next door but other than that you have to do your own parking search. When I was there I did get a couple things upstairs. I tried the brussel sprouts, they were pretty good. Nothing mind-blowing but pretty decent. Also tried the pork belly, which came with four strips of pork belly. This one had a decent flavor but wouldn't be anything that I would rush to get back again. For the price. It wasn't bad but you only still got four little fingerlings of them. The staff was super cool and the ambience is dope. As you can see in the pictures, it's very decorative and great on the eyes. The last time I went, I was at the bar... I have never sat down in an actual seat. But I'm a fan of the bar anyway. Bartender was pretty clutch though. The selling point for me was the "speakeasy" downstairs. Sebastian Pintxos is amazing stop for happy hour or any of their delicious beverages not to mention the service and general aesthetics are fun/decorative. I originally was going to give 3 stars, but decided one more star for the service was needed as our server was so kind! The food is slightly more hit or miss which is the reason for my more average/standard rating, but of course this could have just been an off day for some of the dishes. Parking is street parking for the most part, which is probably tougher to find at a busier time, but we were lucky and found a spot right next to the restaurant. See below for a more detailed review of items: * Happy Hour Margarita (Raspberry & Passionfruit) 9/10: love the flavors, tastes more like fresh fruit or nectar than straight syrup from the bottle * White Sangria Pitcher 8/10: loved the glassware it came in and the lid to protect from summer bugs! It was refreshing but seemed to maybe have a bit too much ice in it for a standard pace of drinking! Our last couple glasses tasted more like water than anything. * Brussel Small Plate 8/10: loved how crispy these were & the vinegary/sweet glaze was perfect for snacking! * Skirt Steak Tapas Plate 8/10: seasoned well, cooked a LITTLE longer than I would have wanted temp wise but not well done or too rough! Loved the thing slices of potatoes as the bed to the steak. * Calamari 8/10: we did enjoy how this calamari was fried, light and not super crispy but not bready! Also a really tasty sauce that isn't the normal aioli, sweet chili, or tomato sauce. * Small Shrimp Tapas Plate 9/10: Shrimp were juicy and fresh! Had a nice snap & not too heavy on flavor but a good shrimp doesn't need much when cooked well * Beef Empanada 5/10: this was just okay! What a cute speak easy place this is! When we first entered, we noticed that it was decorated beautifully and we also got to see patrons dancing to Latino music, which was a great thing to see! We were told downstairs had a different vibe so upon entering we were immediately greeted and seated. Downstairs has its own full bar and you can also purchase food and hookahs. They also had a live dj who was doing his thing! The staff were really friendly as well. Now, it is very small so I'm sure it can fill up pretty quickly but all in all, we had an awesome time! Writing this review after my first time experience at Sebastian Pintxos and I am VERY pleased! Our waiter, Carlos, was absolutely amazing. His recommendations were spot on, he was very attentive, and personable. We enjoyed every second of our visit and will be back. I got the avocado toast and scrambled eggs, 10/10. For drinks we had espresso martinis (great), lychee martini, and Hugo spritz. We enjoyed all of them. The service team were 10/10 across the board, and it was a busy day! Update: we ended up staying for 4 hours (for the duration of the brunch) and had an amazing time. We started off on the patio and moved inside to the bar. The bartender was amazing, but I would like to reiterate that our amazing experience was due to our initial waiter, Carlos. There was a moment where he was speaking to us (very briefly) and he was called away and never came back. Although, I do understand the intensity of the busy environment, I felt that took away from our patron experience. I would like to end the review with reiterating that our great experience was due to the great customer service. While I do still recommend this space, I would hope that in the future I wasn't made to feel as having a personal connection with the staff is an inconvenience. read more

I like this spot a lot! They never look at me sideways when I come in in my biking gear or need to use their wifi almost as much as I need a margarita. They're open late, and the drinks are strong and tasty. I do think the food prices are high for tapas, so don't come hungry? But it's a nice spot for hanging out with friends or doing some work at a bar. Try the dragonfruit margarita... it's so unique and so good! read more

I travel to Atlanta often for work, and during my last visit I discovered this gem. So of course, as soon as I landed and got settled in my room, I had to come back! Decor was AMAZING! Inside, outside and in every space possible. The designer was extremely thoughtful in creating unique works of art in various mediums in all areas. From entry we were greeted by flags representing various countries, two levels of patio seating and a personable security guard who checked bags. Parking available in paid lots near to restaurant and some street parking. The interior as mentioned was open, well lit in places and appropriately dimmed in others. There was a place for DJs, which was the main purpose of my visit, and enough space to dance and dine. Across from the DJ area was a bar with seating. There were many options on where to sit for large groups and solo diners. Downstairs was the Speakeasy, which was also beautifully designed! Ample seating was available throughout this lower section. The bar also offered seating with a warm greeting by the bartender. Even the lower level bathroom was accessorized tastefully. My server, Meryem (corrected from receipt:-) was attentive and very friendly. Food was listed as pintxos and tapas on one page of menu (also beautiful) and meals including a variety of paella styles on another. Server took our order of the roasted beet salad, patatas fritas and sangria and food arrived promptly. First the salad, which I requested feta on the side. The dressing was delicious and loved the aesthetics. Unfortunately it lacked much of the main ingredient, the beets, and did not appear to be roasted. The potatoes were a bit overcooked (over fried), but palpable when dipped in the paprika aioli sauce that accompanied. The guacamole was ordered by a companion and shared that it had a mayonnaise like taste. Drinks were good, but a bit pricey - sangria was $12. Presentation not typical of a sangria glass, but cute. Still not clear on difference between tapas and pintxos, but will research later. Overall, I believe that this restaurant is a good addition to the Juniper Street eateries. So in love with the decor, as mentioned throughout my review. I do believe it's worth a revisit during some of the other special events, including happy hours. read more

Had a wonderful first experience here! I live in the area but had never checked them out until I heard they had an all day happy hour on Mondays! Came in and sat on the patio, tried some tapas and margaritas which were all super flavorful and nice portions. Rebecca was our server and she was a delight! The ambience is amazing with lots of space, low mucus so you can hear everyone, and there's a hidden speakeasy in the basement.
