The decor is delightfully springtime in France. It's very welcoming and fun. There's not a ton of seating here, but they can accommodate groups of up to about six or eight, and have lots of seating for between two and five. We seated quickly by a very nice waitress. Upfront, they have a case with all of their desserts in them. These ranges from chocolate mousse and crème brûlée to tiramisu and eclairs. Pretty much something for everybody! The food here was very good! A couple of us had sandwiches, my wife and I shared a salad, we shared a small meat and cheese tray, and also a crêpe. Everything was very good! They had some legitimate French cheeses and the dessert options were quite solid. The only thing that kept this place from being a true five was the baguette. Making true French baguettes is a tall order, and while these were good, it was really the only place that we were left wanting a little bit. Overall, though, this place is a solid option and the sort of spot that we will be back to!

The first is the consistency of the food. There have been ongoing issues with keeping regular food items in stock. It has been disappointing when we go and hope to get certain items and they have a substitute which is not even close to being good. Also the past two summers the restaurant is ridiculously hot, The AC is obviously not working. We feel so bad for the staff. It's 95 degrees and its cooler outside than inside the restaurant. One time we went and it smelled of BO because everyone was so hot. Unfortunately we won't go back during the summer because it's just so miserable. Hopefully they can do a better job of taking care of their staff.

The burger was cooked really well and the bun was one of the best parts. It is bigger and a little heavier than a normal burger bun, and it held everything together really well. I also got the buffalo wings and thought they were really good. You get a great portion for the price and they had plenty of flavor. I also tried the grilled cheese with bacon added. It comes on sourdough and was grilled perfectly. Really simple, but really good. The fries were also very good, although I definitely recommend eating them right away while they are hot. They did not hold up quite as well after sitting in the takeout box for a while. I only went inside long enough to pick up my food, but the bar itself was actually really nice. It had a much better atmosphere than I was expecting. If I am ever back in Yakima, I would definitely stop in again and actually sit down for a burger and a drink.

We've always sat in the main part of the Tavern, but the first person arriving chose to sit in the side room which seems to be a back-up supplies room with a long table for guests since it was quieter. It was quieter. No matter the sitting location, the service has always been great. I had the Reuben sandwich, and it was excellent--flavorful, well made, and generously portioned. Even better, they actually had horseradish available, which is surprisingly hard to find and made the whole thing even better for me. A solid, satisfying meal with plenty to take home half for the next day. I'll definitely be back.

I didn't win or anything, but a player friend did, or split second maybe. And he was my ride so I was hanging round waiting. This was early last year. Anywho, first and second gave a tip. I don't remember the amount, but it was obvious the dealer running things did not appreciate the amount tipped? he held up the money and was shouting thanks for this large tip or something like that. My fiend and I was pretty sure it was sarcasm. since the room is somewhat professional, I guess the tip amount was insulting? I never went back since $230 is alot to me and my friend paid most of the buyin for me. I asked my friend if he still plays the tournament there while he was complaining and he only plays the big game now not any tournaments since what happened. The kid was calm, cool and collected; so he had it all under control, but it was just too slow to be a one man operation with a limited menu. Food: This is just shameful. You have wood burning oven and you are putting out thick crusted, no taste pies! The sausage was frozen brought in, no better than any other chain or competitor. The saddest part was the crust: way too think to properly cook in such an oven. Then we move to wings. Chicken or pigeon? Could be eithe, since they were so small. Overall, not sure what we're missing but we were not that impressed and it seems like they do not put that much effort or care into their non-pizza items.
