Patrick Clemo's work ethic and communication skills are outstanding. I asked WTC for a bid on trimming dead branches out of a very old locust tree in my front yard and pruning of a prune tree. He came to my house after a long day of work and made a very fair bid for the job. He also thought that the prune tree was just fine and advised not to cut anything on it at that point. On the scheduled day, my neighbor made it impossible for the crew to work safely by standing under the tree and acting menacingly. After friendly talking with the neighbor failed, Patrick kept his calm, assessed the situation and did the right thing by keeping his crew (and my neighbor!) safe, and leaving the site. He stayed in communication with me ( I was at work) during and after the ordeal and would not accept my offer to compensate him for the time lost that afternoon. Patrick at Westside Tree Care has done two jobs for us in the past month, and he has done an excellent job for both. The first was to remove two large Leyland Cypress trees, and the second was to top and trim two other overgrown Leylands. For the second job, I needed our trees to be trimmed in a week because we were having new turf installed in our backyard and we needed the trees trimmed beforehand. Patrick was already scheduled out a couple weeks, but he fit our job in after an earlier job, and he and his co-worker stayed until almost 9 pm on a June evening to finish it. For each job, he left the area very clean. He is very friendly, responsive and professional both on the phone and in person. And his prices are very reasonable. We have had other tree services out over the years, but after reading the reviews on Yelp, I called Westside, and it will be our go-to tree service from now on. I called a couple of well rated tree services before I got to Patrick at Westside, and he was the only one to answer. My mother-in-law had a very large branch from a tree in her front yard break, blocking her driveway and landing on her neighbor's deck. When Patrick answered he could tell we were in a panic and said he would be at her house shortly to assess the situation. I have not been so impressed by a first impression in a very long time, and Patrick exceeded all of my expectations. Not only did he and his helper assess the situation and gave us his plan, but the quote was beyond fair considering the short call out and scope. Patrick will be back next week to follow up with a full trim to keep the large tree healthy and to removal a smaller tree. Patrick and his crew were great. With the help of Barnett Tree Care they were able to safely remove 4 very large Douglas Firs from our yard. The estimate was dead on, including being able to pay for the crane with the sale of the timber. It was a long process of having Patrick and Roger come out to estimate, me needing to get a site plan created and submitted for, and then waiting on the tree removal permit. Once the job was set in motion, they took care of everything. Scheduling the crane, logging truck, stump grinding; they even took care of getting the right of way permit for the crane. I don't usually leave reviews but had to for Patrick because he is the best contractor I have ever hired. Everything about this job was easy from to finish, he came when he said he would, did beautiful work, honest, cleaned up after himself, plus he's a great guy! He went beyond expectations. One of the jobs I wanted was to prune a magnolia tree but he discovered a humongous nest of hornets. He found someone who removes nests to get the venom for medical purposes, allergy shots. and this guy was FREE! I am so pleased with everything that I will continue to use Westside as my regular arborist for all my needs, and I've got a ton of trees, tall hedges, bushes that will need yearly rotation attention. I contacted Westside Tree Care for a quote to remove a Colorado Blue Spruce tree next to my house. Patrick contacted me within an hour and set an appointment to come out within a few days. He gave me a very reasonable quote and was able to fit me into his schedule within 2 days of calling him back after the quote. He kept me updated as to when he would be arriving to my property and arrived on time. The job was done quickly and actually less than what was quoted. (thank you for your honesty) Patrick left my property clean and free of debris. Short of the small stack of firewood left where the tree used to be you couldn't even tell he had been there. Patrick and his crew removed a tree that was a falling risk, cleaned up a large fir (removing dead and crossing branches) and provided some pruning and cabling support for my very old lilac. He really is interested in providing the right service for my trees and convinced me that some work I was considering was not necessary and that the tree was fine as it is. I appreciated that he was not just looking to maximize my invoice. The cleanup was great and he left the chips for my neighbor which pleased her as well. Very impressed with the professionalism and the quality of work from start to finish. Patrick is also very friendly and knowledgeable - he took some extra time to show me how to do a better job pruning some of the smaller trees in my yard that I had recently tried to clean up myself. Free estimate and final cost were the same, which is always nice but not always the case from my other experiences with a variety of other companies. I needed a monkey tree remove. I called couple other companies before I called Westside Tree Care. Westside Tree Care's bid was reasonable and Patrick was very responsive in returning my call. Patrick was also very flexible in work around my schedule. Patrick came out to my house on time for the job. It appears that a monkey tree is very difficult to remove due to the spikes from the tree. However, Patrick did an excellent job in removing the tree and cleaned up afterward. I like the fact that he was willing to stay late until he got the job done. read more

I called Westside when part of a tree broke in my yard this winter, and seemed like it was going to fall on my house. Patrick moved his schedule around for me to arrive early the same day. I was amazed watching him rig the limbs so that they wouldn't fall on my home when cutting. I had Westside back the next week to clean up some other trees on my property, and they look great. Pat has done tree work for me 2 years in a row. On both occasions that work was completed in a professional manner and at a reasonable price. Pat has thinned my 100+ feet fir trees, removed branches from my power lines, helped us get more morning light on our back porch and more evening light on the front porch. Patrick was great. Hired him to clean up a big cedar in our back yard -- he and his guys trimmed it up beautifully and left the yard immaculate. We weren't home when they did the work, but afterward my wife noticed one low branch that we decided we'd like to have taken off.
