Westwood Cleaners in Arvada, CO is a TOTAL SCAM OPERATION. I was quoted a fair price in perso. But when I showed up to pick up my clothes, the woman at the front--who I believe is the owner--jacked up the price to OVER FOUR TIMES what I was told. When I pointed to the receipt with the original quote, she ripped it out of my hand like a thief, refused to return it, and said I had to pay the inflated price or she wouldn't give me my clothes back. Let me be crystal clear: they held my belongings hostage until I forked over money I never agreed to pay. That's extortion, plain and simple. She was unbelievably rude, unapologetic, and totally unprofessional. I left feeling angry, ripped off, and disgusted that a business can treat people this way and get away with it. I'm disputing the charges with my bank and looking into legal action. This place needs to be held accountable. I'll be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and every consumer protection agency I can find. Avoid this place like the plague. I just called this location to inquiry about having 4 panels of curtains dry cleaned and to have them made shorter. Some grumpy man picked up the phone and mumbled something and then HUNG UP. We frequent this business on a weekly basis with several garments to be dry cleaned. I am appalled at how RUDE he was. THEY WILL NOT GET ANYMORE OF OUR BUSINESS. read more

Horrible place. I brought a $500 skirt in that had 2 tiny brown spots. Picked it up and lady told me spots had come out. Go to wear it next day and there is a huge white ring around where the spots used to be. Brought it back with the dry-cleaning tag till on it and she accused me of wearing it. This is unwearable when a 3" white ring on the fabric. She took it to clean again and no change. Would not replace the skirt she ruined nor return the $20 I paid her to totally ruin my skirt. Hello ~ I just had a dress altered and it was done lazily. When I went to pick it up and asked if I should try it on to see if I liked it, she said no - go home to try it on. I asked again if I could try it on. Of course, I got home and it was a terrible job. Based on the other reviews here of her screaming at people, I will not be taking it back to request she fix it. Super disappointing and unbelievable people can operate a business that way. Poor value. read more

Absolutely ruined a dress, refused to take responsibility, was combative and rude. I took in a dress to be hemmed, specifying that it was to touch the toe of my shoe. Upon picking it up, the hem was completely uneven, as much as 4" in some places. Some touched the floor, other areas were ankle length. When I had the woman come over to see, she admitted that it was "extreme" but had "no idea how that happened." When I told her that the dress was ruined and that I would not pay for it, she got huffy, balled it up, threw it on the table, and said she'd "fix" it. When I told her that I needed it for an occasion that night and that it was beyond fixing, she argued with me that it was fine, then suggested that it was the manufacturer's fault, rather than hers. She argued that gowns at ankle length were the style and it would be fine. I told her that it was absurd, then she threw me out of the store. read more

They ruined two of my husbands shirts in the same cleaning and refused to make it right!!! It was obvious that their machine ripped two of the sleeves in the exact same spots and they tried to say we brought them in that way. The staff was rude and almost made me cry. Over the past 4-6 months there have been 3 occasions in which my clothes came back smelling like, in my opinion, sour or of old urine. Each time I reported this to the woman at the desk, I was told they must have been cleaned in old solution and to bring the clothes back to be re-cleaned at no charge. I have stopped going to this cleaners as I do not have time to take 2 trips to the cleaners every time I need something dry cleaned. read more

The worst experience I have ever had. Cleaners destroyed my jacket and refused accountability. As I left, I was physically assaulted in an attempt to remove the cleaning ticket from my items in order to avoid proof of liability. Fortunately, I still had my claim ticket and the jacket had a small tag on the inside. I filed in Small Claims Court and won a $500 judgement. Business could not even afford to pay in one lump sum. DO NOT BRING ANY HIGH DOLLAR OR SPECIAL ITEMS HERE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Cleaners at 64th and Quaker is MUCH better. read more

Went in to pay for my dry cleaning and pairs with my debit card. The owner a female Asian lady -wouldn't give me her name) ran my purchase as a debit card. The card reader rejected my payment so I paid in cash. Couldn't figure why my card was declined. I checked my checking account on my bank app on my phone. After reviewing my account it was posted my charge to Westwood's cleaners. Went back in to get a refund and the Asian lady refused and told me my bank would credit my account. Got on the phone with my bank and they confirmed the charge. I did this while in front of the owner. She yelled at me and at the customer service rep of my bank that was on the phone and told her my bank was lying to me. I was getting nowhere. So I asked again for a refund of my cash payment. The owner said she owned the cleaning business and I owned my card and to get a refund from my bank. Which I will do with the declined receipts from the card reader and my receipt. I will never do business with these crooks again!!!!!!! read more

Worse experience ever! She stole from us. Took a wedding dress to be bustled, she never told us that she was not capable of doing it. She took the work, charged us a fortune (hundreds) and did a crappy job. When we asked her to repair her work, she got mad. I finally had to take the dress elsewhere to get if fixed correctly. I will never step foot in there again and no one else should. She is a thief. I was robbed but had no choice but to pay because I needed the dress. When I took the dress to a real seamstress, they could not believe how shoddy a job she did. DO NOT frequent this place. I dropped off my fiancés suit and dress shirt to be dry cleaned for our wedding. When I went to pick them up the lady showed me a stain on the white dress shirt and said they tried 3 times and could not get it out. I dropped the shirt off brand new, never worn and there was no stain. She tried to say that my husband dropped it off that way, when I was the one who dropped it off. Upon further examination of the shirt it was clear that the shirt was burned from some sort of heat on the end of the sleeves and near the collar. The shirt is out of stock and can no longer be purchased to match the other men in the bridal party. The lady was yelling at my mother and I and then angrily opened the cash drawer and gave us the $6.95 dry cleaning fee for the shirt, only after another gentleman that worked there insisted. She refused to refund the rest of the dry cleaning or pay for the shirt they ruined. We were planning to have our entire bridal parties dresses and suits cleaned here as well as my wedding dress, but I will never come back here and want to save other's the same experience.
