I usually prefer Auntie Anne's pretzels, but in a pinch, Wetzel's provides the same delicious giant pretzels. They just don't have as many topping or seasoning options. However, they do offer pretzel bites (salted or unsalted), which is what my husband opted for. He said they were good but a small bag of them costs $6! That seems a bit steep for the amount you get. The lady behind the counter was kind enough to give us some cheese dip for free. I think usually it costs a little extra for those. All in all, if you're at Tucson Mall and want a big pretzel, this will do. But it is a tad on the expensive side. The pretzel bites are somewhat greasy, too. This is a typical Wetzel's Pretzels location, in that they they have some very unhealthy snacks for a high price. However, I happen to love them, as they are a treat. I rarely leave a mall without getting one.This location however, needs some work. While the customer service here is standard, the food was not. First, I ordered pretzel dogs that seemed to have spent an inordinate amount of time underneath the heating light, because they were overdone, and difficult to chew. Next, the lemonade tasted funky. There was something wrong with it. Finally, the ketchup packets I received for the hot dogs were all stuck together with ketchup glue. When I went to complain to the server, she quickly apologized and said that it would take about 15 minutes to make a new batch of pretzel rolls, and offered to give me a new drink. I declined the pretzel rolls, but got a new drink since I needed to get going to my next appointment. I probably will go to the other location down the hall next time. read more
