The cheesecake is fabulous. Had the Lemon Meringue cheesecake and it was delicious. The entrees are good if not spectacular. It's quite pricey however. For two people with one entree and a side of fries for the other person and a shared slice of cheesecake the bill came to over $60 and with tip $75. Service was great although for a place specializing in cheesecake she didn't even ask about dessert. Just brought the check and we had to ask for the dessert menu. The biggest downside was seating. The restaurant was nearly empty but the hostess set the few small parties around a huge family taking up four tables. The children were out of control climbing on chairs and tables. Even using the server station as a jungle gym. The adults were paying them no attention and constantly were bothering other patrons. At one point a young girl began going to empty tables and putting the salt shaker completely in her mouth! When I return here I'll be bringing my own salt and pepper. Staff were aware of the behavior but did nothing. As part of our "Staycation" treat, we three (my daughter, grandgirl and I) went for lunch. We all ordered the chicken almond sandwich plate with choice of soup and salad. Didn't get a choice of bread or if you wanted it grilled or ungrilled, so it came on white bread and grilled. Waitress "never" asked us what we'd prefer. The menu, via our review, didn't specify, so we were surprised. Would of been nice to know, because my grandgirl has braces and has to have soft chewable foods. I ordered three appetizers instead of a meal: chicken and biscuits, shrimp, and I can't remember the name, and the Asian chicken nachos. The biscuits and chicken was just okay, the shrimp was good. I wasn't happy with the lack of toppings on my Asian chicken nachos, so I asked that they add the missing toppings, which they obliged. It was a lot of the wasabi sauce when the nachos came back out, but thankfully it's not a super strong sauce like you would think. I do think that there is a perfect balance for the toppings, which could probably be achieved if the time is taken to ensure meal is plated well. I checked in and let them know we had a party of 8 and said they would all be there in 20min. 30 min later I asked for an update and they stated they were still working on seats. Took another 6-7 minutes and we were seated. It is cold in there so take a jacket if you are sensitive to temps. I'm surprised it was packed for a Thursday. Food was hot and everything tasted good. Our server was a little slow to refill our bread but I get it. My meal came out last after everyone was already served. FYI if you have a party it 8 they automatically apply a 20% tip to your check whether the service was great or not. Like a dummy I didn't initially see that on the check and I gave an additional 16% tip. So let's just say our server got a 36% tip. The food was delicious and they were very quick with getting it made and bringing it out. I'd say it only took 15-20 minutes to bring all food out. Anytime I go, it's never super busy to where I have to wait. Usually I am always seated right away or within a couple of minutes. We've been here plenty of times and had great service but this time 1 star is 1 stars too many. This was a horrible experience. Starting with a flat soda and when I advised our server, her response was to bring me another soda even though I told her that it was because the co2 was out. When we received our food, my hamburger did not come as I ordered it and was not fully cooked, and there were brown spots in my salad, when I told my server about it, they brought out a new that was still not made the way I asked for. The inside decor gives off the feeling of a nice fine dining restaurant. The server needs to learn listening skills and patience. It may be a while before we go back, if ever. read more

This time around we went for lunch and ordered the herb-crusted salmon (average- the sides of broccoli and mashed potatoes were the best part) and the smash burger (pretty good, according to my partner). Our server provided excellent service and was very patient with our various orders. We had this new appetizer that is a jalapeño and chicken deep fried. The lady up at the check in desk where you wait to be seated was so rude I'm surprised I didn't let her have it but it was New Year's Eve so I can get why some would be bitter to be working. I didn't quite get her name but she was wearing a long black skirt & her hair was down, when we walked up she didn't greet us it was my boyfriend who greeted her, she gave us a weird look & asked how to help us. I had to repeat my phone number to her three times & instead of asking me to repeat she read it back to me with attitude & a missing number. I repeated it back & she gave a little giggle. So my advice would be to have better, happier & more full of life people who enjoy their job to be the greeters because that's the first point of contact & she was terrible. Despite several empty tables near the front, we were taken on a long walk through a congested walkway to a table in the back. This was especially unacceptable because one member of our party uses a cane. It was completely avoidable and showed a lack of attention and care from the host. When a guest clearly has mobility challenges, there is no excuse for ignoring that and choosing the most inconvenient seating route. Your front-of-house staff must use basic judgment and flexibility. Failing to do so is not customer-centric and creates a negative experience that stays with your guests long after the meal ends.
