I thought about getting half dirt and half mushroom compost but they told me the mixed topsoil already has two types of compost mixed in and I wouldn't have to worry about adding any compost. Instead of going to your local Home Depot or Lowes and buying 30bags of top soil @ $4-$8 a piece go to Construction Supply! I got a yard of dirt= 1 ton of dirt for $23.00 versus going to Home Depot or Lowes and spending close to $100 on dirt? I don't think so! NOTE- You should only purchase products here if you have an open trailer, or a pick up truck. If you care about your truck lining you should put a tarp down to make cleanup easier. My coworker informed me of Construction Supply which was literally 5 minutes from my house. I knew I would need about 30-40 bags of rocks from as they were small rocks and small bags. After going in and talking to some very nice people...and of course talking about football with the gentlemen behind the counter, I was able to get a half of cubic yard for much cheaper than at any Home Depot, Lowe's or any other store. They had no problem loading it in my truck and off I went. Satisfied! Well, of course I didn't get enough on my first trip and only needed a couple of wheel barrels more. They had no problem breaking down the amount that I needed which was not their typical selling amount. I would definitely go back for my topsoil and mulch needs!!! Great prices, great people. Plus the rocks I got look better.

Was told that person was out to lunch and would call back. No call back. So I called them again. Was transferred a couple times and finally got ahold of someone that said the order may not have shipped yet. They asked if I would hold as they contacted manufacturer. I told them to cancel my order. A proper business would have emailed or contacted me about the order being delayed especially considering it was 2 weeks. A proper business would have returned my call as committed. The only reason for not getting a 1 star is that they refunded me promptly.

I went there today to get an Amazon price match(which they do) the one woman said uh I don't know! Then she called another woman over to help her, the other woman said it has to be the same thing(I had the product up on Amazon for them to see) exact same thing!!! The second woman then said I have to find the exact model number scrolling all over the place. Then she says it's listing 15 of them, how foolish can you be. I then asked for a manager and waited another ten minutes. I couldn't take anymore stupid!!!

Most recently, I came in to exchange a paint product after Lowe's gave me the wrong one. I waited about 30 minutes for a manager, who quickly resolved the issue as soon as he glanced at the paint. I appreciate the manager's help and professionalism. The mistake was on Lowe's end, but the experience was made worse by poor customer service at the desk.

Although this company sells to the public, the business model is different, since they cater to…read moreconstruction companies, i.e. they close at 5:00, noon on Fri. and closed all weekend. You do not go in to look and pick out the lumber you are looking for, put it on a cart and wheel up to the cash register. The model is to call them up 24 hours in advance to place an order and when you come in, it is already set aside and you load up and you are on your way. Otherwise you may wait for 3 hours for them to pull what you want. If you are looking for very good wood or plywood, you need to order the premium grade for both. What I saw in the warehouse was not quite cabinet level ply for a clear finish, but it was much, much better than the big box stores. I was told that although what was there looked really nice, the next shipment in may not look as good. They did have beautiful "laminate" grade 1/4 inch sheets, however, gluing that to 1/2 inch to make a 3/4 sheet is a decision you would need to make. The ply was a B B/C to a C D/E grade. I will be buying here in the future.

Even though we work with a well-known local plumbing supply company, the plumbing industry in our area doesn't have much use for the material we need which is ABS Foam Core Black Pipe. Another issue is that it has to ship on a flatbed truck. Shipping costs can be expensive doing this so you want to ship in full truckload quantities and of course we don't need a full truckload. Anyway, I reached out to Charlotte Pipe through their website and asked if there was anything they could do to help us. And they did. They were able to get it worked out so it would ship to the local plumbing supply company which in turn made it possible for us to purchase. They not only did this for us in 2022 but are doing it again now, Jan. 2024. So many other companies would not go the extra mile like this to help out a smaller end user. In this day and age places would just say sorry, can't help you and go on to the next person.
