Normally I'm the type of person that looks at reviews online before purchasing something like this but at that time, I think I was running out of time so I didn't get a chance. Anyway, when I bought this offer from Amazon Local, it was a great price so i said what the heck. When I called, first available schedule is 2 1/2 weeks out but I said fine, since it's a good price. Appt day came and they didn't show up. Guy called towards the end of my time frame and said he's running late (no really?) but after that, he never called again and never showed up. Talked to Ray the next morning but he didn't seem apologetic that his company never showed up for the services. He said he'll get the office to call em back when they open but never got a call in the morning. Finally, someone called but because of my message that I left with answering service and not because Ray told her to. She said she was on the phone with Ray all morning and he never once mentioned to call me. Well, I've decided to get a refund from Amazon. This is ridiculous way of running a business and if the owner is that way, he doesn't deserve my business. I'll be receiving my refund in 3-5 days. Bought a groupon. Availability to schedule was 4 weeks out, scheduled it anyways. Day arrived, 1pm was the scheduled time. No one came at 1pm. I waited until 1:15pm called their number and got a recording that said "ring center is not available at this time". Called their customer service appt line and got a voicemail, did not leave a message. At 3pm received a call from person slated to clean my windows stating they are late and have a house prior to mine to do and will be there at 5pm. Waited till 5pm, no window washers. At 5:15pm they called and said will have to reschedule now. Earliest he can reschedule is the next day but won't know what time he can come. Not worth my time to waste another day waiting for window washers to "maybe" arrive. The rain is more reliable at this point. Requesting my refund from Groupon now. read more

What a scam! Paid $95 for a groupon deal with them to clean 35 windows, interior and exterior. They were to come at 1:00 on Friday, having a party on Saturday. They finally showed up at 4:30pm and the owner, Ray, insisted that I pay them an additional $5 per window for about 20 of the windows. When I politely refused, he got angry, packed up and left! Bought a Living Social coupon. Made an appointment for January. Did not show, did not call. I e-mailed company. They apologized and said that they have implemented new system to avoid future problems. Made new appointment for February. Was advised that I would receive an e-mail reminder the day before the appointment and a phone call 20 minutes before they would arrive. Of course, I did not receive the e-mail reminder the day before and no one showed up on the day of the scheduled appointment, again without any contact from this company. I too bought a GroupOn and had What a View default on me. They did not show up for their scheduled appointment and never returned my calls. I finally did receive a full refund from GroupOn. For almost 2 years this company continued to email and text me despite request to be deleted from their data base. Finally yesterday I had enough after one more text so I called them and the owner answered the phone. I threatened to report them to whatever agency governed unsolicited calls and the man on the phone proceeded to apologize not only for the unwanted texts and emails, but for the problem with the GroupOn. He told me that their business was oversold with that GroupOn and they could not possibly manage all the business. He felt bad that their company had gotten such a bad reputation due to that. He went on to say that they are managing all their business now without difficulty and he did not want me to continue to have such a bad opinion of therm. He made me an offer to come out and make it right by me. I allowed him to send a truck and his workers. Pablo, Oshay and Handy showed up promptly at the schedule time and proceeded to courteously and professionally clean all my windows. They were even able to replace some screens that were worn out. I thought that I had checked this business's reviews before purchasing a Groupon Coupon. With scheduled service for today, I was horrified when I checked these Yelp reviews. I had a 1:00 - 3:00 scheduled appointment. When I asked the scheduler if that was the window of arrival, she told me that it was my scheduled time and that they would be at my house at 1:00. When the workers didn't show by 1:40, I tried to contact Ray, and got a recording. He gave a 949 number to call "to talk with a live person", and instructed to "choose option 4". When I called that number, only 3 options were offered. I called again and chose option 1 (customer service) and did reach a person. She explained that 1 - 3 was the window of arrival time and that I would get a call 20 minutes before arrival of the cleaning crew. By now, I was suspicious, but did wait to see what would happen. At about 5 min. to 3:00, I got a call that they would be there in about 20 minutes. It is obvious that the office staff is not credible. And, they are lucky that my schedule was flexible, but that's not a way to run a business. I do have to commend the workers who showed up. Even though they were at the late end of my scheduled window, they did call in advance, and did show up in 20 minutes. They were efficient, thorough, and did a good job on my windows and screens. So, I would like to compliment Cesar, Rangel, and Chris on a job well done. Chris did an exceptional job on the outside . They did not try to "sell" me additional service or charge extra fees, as others have metioned. They accepted the Groupon Coupon as payment in full. They should not be penalized by the (fairly deserved) poor rating of the company. I just wanted to give credit where credit was due. If I could, I would give this company a negative 5 star review. Like a lot of the other reviewers, I purchased a Groupon. Scheduled service three weeks out. No one showed up at the scheduled time. Calls to the owner went unanswered and his voicemail was full. After a week filled with numerous calls and emails from me that again went unanswered, I have asked Groupon for a refund. They have a great friendly team of guys, nothing is too much trouble. They arrive on time and my windows look great after each clean. We had 22 windows to clean and some were very very dirty. They were on time and polite and fast . They scrubbed the windows, some a couple of times to get them clean. Fernando and Pablo did a great job and even redid two windows that I thought could be better but it turns out they couldnt be better. My clients were rushing to get their home on the market, and his company came out within 48 hours and washed the windows and completed a deep cleaning throughout the whole house. We have never hired professional window cleaners before. I hesitated to do so because I felt I could do as good of a job by myself. Not only was my entire house done in a couple of hours (which takes me an entire Saturday) but every screen and track were cleaned as well (better than I have ever done). Ray's team was on time, respectful, kept things clean and did more than they had too. I had a ripped screen that I said to set aside but (for no charge) Ray replaced the screen material saying it was the right thing to do. He didn't want to leave us with clean windows but a ripped screen. He even cleaned our windows on our double front door no charge - something that we hadn't talked about in the bid but was a very appreciated finishing touch. I understand they also hang holiday lights - something we'll seriously consider. read more

This company is a SCAM. I bought the Groupon deal and they charged me $50 for skylights that do not exist in my home. Also, the guys that came to clean the windows told me there was a $15 fee to use a credit card to pay for the imaginary skylights. I paid by check or I would have disputed the charge if I could have used a credit card without a $15 fee. When I called the owner to complain, he yelled at me saying, "Groupon is just a way to get to your home so we can up-sell you." I don't know how you can up-sell someone to clean skylights that don't exist. I tried to file a complaint on Yelp for the longest time, but there was no listing. I tried to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they have no record of this company. Now the BBB has a record, search for "What a View! Window Cleaning". I'm scared for others because most likely they are not adequately insured because of their unprofessional and unethical business practices. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. RUN AWAY!!!! These fellows are scammers! I've initiated a claim with BBB; however, I would hate it for anybody else to be in my situation. I bought a Living Social coupon for this service. I thought six months were good enough to redeem this voucher, but I didn't count on the unethical practices of What A View, rescheduling every time I had an appointment, always until the last minute when you are expecting to receive the service. After five months without receiving the service and one month before the voucher expired I decided to request my money back. Living Social won't refund because the merchant is still in business and more than 7 days have passed since I bought the voucher. And What A View just laughed at the request. Needless to say, the six months passed, the voucher expired and I never got my money back from either Living Social nor What A View. I thought I was saving $30 dollars, I ended up losing $79. read more

I reluctantly give this company one star....I originally gave it no stars. The only reason I give this one star is because the guys were on time for my initial appt. Then it went downhill from there. Caesar was polite and worked professionally. His partner Peter asked for a bottle of water PRIOR to starting any work. I let that slide. I paid for 41 windows of my home to be cleaned inside and out. Every single window was left with spots and streaks on the exterior and one screen was left with a hole the size of a baseball. Needless to say, to be "disappointed" would be an understatement. I called and spoke to Kia who sent the guys back after they finished the house they to after mine. The guys repaired the screen but said their machine had broken without them realizing it thus leaving all the spots and streaks on the exterior (the interior was all cleaned by hand). Caesar supposedly spoke to his boss Ray and explained the situation then told me the office will call me during the week to reschedule the re-cleaning. I say "supposedly" because a week later when I called to schedule my appt since no one had called me, Ray had no clue what I was talking about but said he will have the office call me to reschedule. Kia called to set my appt for Sat 9/1 between 8-11 am. No one showed up and no one has returned my 4 phone calls. I am requesting a full refund and will never do business with this company again. I have been a customer of What a View Window Cleaning for over two years now and have had them out to clean my windows on three separate occasions. My home is two stories and has over 30 windows so it is not a small job. Originally, I used them through a Groupon deal, but I book directly with them now. I can honestly say that I have not had the same negative experiences of the other reviewers. Frankly, it does not even sound like the same company to me at all. They have never missed an appointment or arrived late. In fact, today they were early. I have had several window cleaners in the past - some left a mess inside my house and others quickly went out of business. For me, I appreciate being able to make one phone call and get my window cleaning done rather than find a different company every time. I do love a good Groupon, but sometimes it can overwhelm a small business. Bottom line, my windows were dirty this morning and now they are clean. No streaks and no hassles. read more
