I entered and was very pleasantly surprised they had red white and blue balloons to each table and booth. They also had 1 table with a white tablecloth, a glass, a candle and a rose for Veteran's Day. I thought that was very respectful and touching. Good on Freddy's. Today I got the jalapeño and pepper jack cheese burger with tater tot's. Tots were great. Light and crispy. The burger was great. It was 2 thin burger patties. Cheese and a lot of pickled jalapeños. I actually had to take a few off they really didn't skimp on the jalapeños. The burger was great. Cashier was nice. We chatted a little.

The only thing I can surmise is that after it was taken over by private equity it has gone down the crapper as do all restaurants that are owned by private equity. This location is incredibly dirty and the food is prepared by people who couldn't care less. The staff which used to be perky and engaged when it was owned locally is now a bunch of disaffected Gen Z types who couldn't care less. We were served by two touch screens and a disaffected young person who couldn't care less and seemed high on gummies. The men's room at this location is utterly filthy and way dirtier than most gas station restrooms. The hand washing basin is dangling off the wall and has caulk all over it which seems applied by a drunken repair person. It was literally disgusting and smelled worse. I was so put off by my visit that I have realized that it is not worth the risk to dine here anymore. I will never return. Torchy's used to be a great Austin restaurant but it is now being systematically ruined by its new owners who are clearly only focused on how much money they can wring out of the place. All the creativity and positive energy are gone, replaced by filth and gross inedible food. The food also tastes much worse and I suspect it is now being sourced at Sysco or some other giant logistics company that produces the same bland cafeteria class food ingredients that other private equity-owned restaurants use. If you value your health, please stay away from this restaurant and its branches. I literally do not review too many places but I was truly blown away by how filthy and disgusting this restaurant was.

Which, would be a little annoying to the workers but every time I do they even give me free coupons for a wrong order. The worker with the cleft lip does seem to enjoy the job. When I was curious about their reviews, he told me about how they had to replace much of the staff in the history of the restaurant. However, the old reviews will outweigh the new service they provide. This is probably one of the better taco bells in the area and I would definitely come back here again, even with the lettuce pandemic as of 2026. The high school in this area has brought a lot of customers to this place. I have had good memories with my friends here, and as sad as it may seem, I will miss eating here.

I Extremely love Whataburger, especially this one. I visited this Whataburger. The burgers and fries are fresh and hot. This Whataburger so outstanding in the service and very clean. I always see the staffs clean (restroom and front) The staff is so friendly to everybody. I have tried so many different whataburgers, this is the best of the best. I go their nearly every single week since they opened. Our whole family just love this Whataburger. I noticed the customer of Elizabeth F. was little bit upset about this Whataburger. But hey, everybody will make mistakes. I did drop small eggshells on my own prepared meal at home too. Also, since you are the only customer at this special time. So, they need time to freshly cook for you, I am sure you want the fully cook burger instead, and I am sure you got the fresh and hot meal. I never have experienced need to wait for 15 waiting in this Whataburger. Hope you can give them one more chance!! They are try hard to serve the customers as I can see. Really, they are really good. I really cannot find any problem from there. Go there during the weekday when you have time, and see what happen...........I am sure you will changed the review to at least 4 starts. read more

I think that this Whataburger is the best Whataburger I've ever went to!!! Their fries are amazing, the restaurant is sparkly clean, and the staff are extremely nice. The restaurant is usually nice and quiet, and the table and chairs are really clean. :). I'm super scared of crickets when it comes to cricket season, but in this Whataburger, I hardly see any insects at all. I highly recommend this Whataburger. Plus, the location is very convenient!! If you are hesitant in going to this Whataburger, don't. It's amazing and I'm sure you'll enjoy it!!! :D read more

Horrible service. 3 cars in the drive through took 30+ minutes. It's fast food guys. They Gave me a cold burger and took 5 mins alone just to take payment. Now the fries I noticed people complaining on reviews saying they're burnt. I absolutely loved mine. They were perfect. The best part is when you reheat them in the oven they get really crispy, which are my favorite. The pricing is extremely reasonable. The drive-thru line looked like it wrapped halfway to tomorrow, so I decided ordering ahead and picking it up inside would save some time. Unfortunately, that's where the good decisions ended. This location had recently reopened after what I assume was a remodel, so I expected it to look... well... fresh. Instead, it looked like the adults had taken the day off and left toddlers in charge. While waiting for my order, I leaned against one of the half walls only to immediately pull away because it was sticky. Not "someone just spilled something" sticky. The kind of sticky that makes you wonder how long it's been since anyone wiped it down. Then I started looking around. The floors looked like they'd survived an entire day's worth of traffic without seeing a cleaning. Nearly every surface I noticed looked neglected. For a restaurant that has built its reputation on cleanliness and efficiency, it was genuinely surprising. The lone bright spot was an older gentleman working the dining room. He greeted me warmly, asked how he could help, pointed me toward the pickup area, and wished me a great day. In the middle of what otherwise felt like complete chaos, he was the only person who projected professionalism and genuine hospitality. Then came the food. My fries were limp and soggy. The chicken was dry, tasted as though it had been sitting far longer than it should have, and honestly wasn't worth eating. I ended up stopping at Trader Joe's, buying a salad instead, and throwing the Chick-fil-A meal straight into the trash. I hate wasting food. I hate wasting money even more. But I especially hate wasting both at the same time. I sincerely hope this was just an unusually bad day for them. For me, though, one visit was enough. I'll be taking my quick lunch stops elsewhere.
