First time visiting a Whataburger and we wanted to try something new that we can't find on the East Coast in D.C. and we visited this place. I have to say that the Customer Service was awesome! The gentleman who checked us out was very kind and friendly. The ambiance seems like any other fast food place and seems to need a re-do although this location was VERY clean and had clean bathrooms. The burger itself was so so...it had way too much mustard on it and it was just meh. The sand which itself is big and the cups for drinks are large too. I ordered the onion rings and they were good and my hubs ordered the fries which were probably the worst fast food fries I've had...soooo for that reason I'm giving it a 3 star. This is hands down, the worst Whataburger in ATX. Never ONCE have they gotten my order or anyone else I've gone with, correct. I just truly cannot comprehend how you mess up two burgers, two fries. Not to mention you wait nearly 20-30 minutes... if I'm already waiting that long why can't you take an extra 20 seconds to make sure my order is correct? Because the folks taking the order, put it in correctly, but the workers (including PM manager) can't seem to read their screens correctly. Ever. It doesn't even phase them that this is an embarrassing way to 'run a business'. It's a burger, not rocket science. And the way they treat their PAYING customers when asked to correct the order? The breakfast foods are served cold and on stale tortillas sometimes, and if you order anything but "Coke", you have to actually watch the server to make sure they give you the right drink. There was a long line in the drive up when I pulled in at about 12:20 which makes sense being the peak of lunchtime. By the time I parked and walked in 3 cars had been helped. Quick. I was warmly greeted by Robert immediately upon walking in. He welcomed every person who walked in while I was there. Friendly and kind through the ordering process an delivery of my food. The order was correct and couldn't have taken longer than 10 mins. Maybe a little sloppily put together but correct. Robert was greeting, ringing folks up and delivering food. He even said "thank you sir/ma'am have a great day" to almost every single person as they left. I've read some pretty hateful things on here about the associates and want to be sure he gets the credit he deserves. Place is more like a daycare than a fast food restaurant. Visited store number 1022 on 5-1-19 at 748 PM. Employees just hanging around and joking with the off shift employee who was ordering. One worker with a name tag that looked like it said mali or meli brought out drinks without kids and jokes about. When asked if she had a drive thru line, her response was probably and joked as she pointed at the wait times on the screen while the manager on shift melissa ruck did nothing. While the name tag less cashier repeated how he hated the fact he had a deep fried cookie he cant eat because of the stupid customers. I got the A.1. THICK & HEARTY BURGER and the HONEY BBQ CHICKEN STRIP SANDWICH. Here's my 'beef' with this Whataburger. It seems as though they have an A-team and a B-team. Sometimes its super fast and fresh while other times its slow, completely cold and awful.
