Just the preparation a In N Out's grilled onions, was flavorfully different to Whataburger's grilled onions. Their mustard, ketchup mayonnaise is. Or the same taste profile that In N Out can deliver. As for French fries, I know in N out fries are not the best, but freshly sliced potatoes fried too an extra crispy doneness is how I like it. Whataburger fries were not bad but it completely reminded me of frozen McDonald's French fries. The service we received at Whataburger was really good. The manager or staff that took our order was patient and explained the preparation of the burgers to us. I also took the advice of my friend who grew up and lived in California and is very experienced with In N Out food, was to try the Whataburger Patty Melt. Out of all that we ordered, that stood up to be the best thing on the menu.
