Tried our local Whataburger again, I thought maybe, just maybe someone had tried to change things. But, alas, no such luck. I ordered a bacon whataburger with nothing but mayo and asked for extra mayo. What we got was the normal amount of mayo, which was just enough to make the bun shiny letting us know something was there, and tomatoes. Last time I checked "nothing but mayo" ment no vegetables, just mayo. Our other sandwich was a whatacatch with extra tomatoes. What we got was 5 shredded pieces of lettuce and 2 thinly sliced tomatoes. And to top that off the fish was over cooked (DARK) brown, which tasted burnt, our maybe it was cooked in old oil. Every time I stop at this place on my way to or from our hunting Lease, they treat us very well and go above and beyond, especially for a fast food establishment. This time I had a highly customized order, and they asked me questions and make sure they got it right. They have set me up with extras on the way out to the lease as well. I've been to so many Whataburger's for the taquitos and this is the first one that I've been too that had a really hard tortilla. I had take so much tortilla it was terrible. Not sure if this is an all time deal or not so just be aware. If you do get a hard tortilla, take it back and ask for Another one. You're paying for your food and it should be good not hard where you have to take a lot of it off. read more

Well for starters the staff was not great! You had the short little Manager trying to have a make out session in the lobby with a tall dark hair lady in a white tank top! The girl that served us didn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed! They were out of small cups at the register so we had to wait until she served a few other customers before we received our drinks! My drink was fine but my Aunts coffee was no good! Like it was made last week. Cloudy when she got it, I thought she had put milk In it! She has her coffee black! Took it to the counter, and after they looked at her and the coffee for a few minutes asked her did she want something else to drink? Our order of Biscuits and Gravy with the whatameal, deal came out and it was not good either! Weird taste. Was going to complain but the server that helped us was eating her meal in the lobby and we didn't want to bother the manager and his/her (?) make out session. We left!! I don't recommend this place! Just a hormonal pregnant girl wondering who she's got to sleep with to get a chocolate shake. Every week, I order a chocolate shake here. And every week, I get a shake whiter than a Republican convention. It doesn't matter if you ask for extra chocolate. I've tried it all. My wife and I were traveling back home to Arkansas after a friend's wedding in Mineral Wells, TX, when we decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat. We never eat Whataburger, but figured that we should give this one a shot since it's a Texas thing and this location looked nice and new. But what was supposed to be a 5 minute drive-thru experience turned into 15 minutes waiting in one of two lines of vehicles. Then when we tried to order at the menu board, there was no one to take our order while the other lane of cars was ordering and very slowly moving. So I decided that I would just let my wife finish driving the car through the drive-thru, while I went inside to order instead. So I walked in and ordered a double Whataburger and a large fry as take out. I noticed that there was already about 6 individuals/couples waiting for their food inside but I figured that the wait might be 5-10 minutes at most since the kitchen was fully staffed and everyone appeared to be busy. Well, 20 minutes later I was handed my food with no explanation as to why the service was so slow. Apparently this is just business as usual. The couple ahead of me had waited over 30 minutes! This place needs to be managed better or risk losing future business because fast food is supposed to be fast, not take up 40 minutes of your day! It really left me and others with a poor impression. And I realize that Whataburger is no Chick-Fil-A, but c'mon, get it together people! read more
