My Husband decided to go to Dod Chiles on Sunday night, it was busy but the server was very attentive and quick to get our drink order and food order! GM argued with me when my order was wrong. She took my order. I asked for flour tortillas. Got corn on half. She even repeated back to me "all the enchiladas are the same?" After a horrible experience trying to have dinner at Yesterday's in Bridgeport, we left there and came to Dos Chiles for dinner as we probably should have done in the first place. Every time we come to Dos Chiles, the hostesses are friendly, the service is always great. Waitresses and Waiters are always prompt, friendly and helpful, and the food is delicious. Also I'd like to point out that one member of our party asked for a one-off on the menu, and the waitress didn't blink twice. She said we can do whatever you want. She did advise there might be a slight up charge for the extras, but said they'd do whatever we wanted. The food was prepared just as she requested. It's that kind of service that keeps all of us coming back to Dos Chiles time and time again. read more

I really hate to give this place three stars, however it's just so unpredictable. Sometimes you can come here and have the best meal ever. Then other times it takes you 45 minutes to even receive your food and then another 45 to receive the check. It's a shame because I really want to like this place. The owner's wife is an absolute sweetheart. Their salsa has two different options. They have a spicy and then a mild. The spicy is a little bit of a kick. However the mild literally just taste like tomato sauce. I would definitely say that it's always safe to go with the enchiladas or tacos here. It's kind of hard to mess up those. read more

However, one day my sister and I went and the food was great and so was the service. Then we decided to have dinner there. The waitress did know the difference between white and red wine, but that was fine, then the appetizers come out and the queso had no flavor whatsoever. Everytime I drive by this place it looks packed so I decided to stop see what it is about. One thing i should always keep in mind is that there is not a lot of places to eat near Bridgeport. After I walked in and stood at the host counter for 5 minutes I was told I could sit anywhere. The waitress brought some chips and salsa which were ok. I then ordered the grilled beef burrito which came with rice and refried beans. Everything was hot when it arrived at the table and it all tasted ok. Seemed to me that everything tasted the same. I'm giving 2 stars as I'm in a generous mindset. Here's the positives: the place seems clean and orderly, but you can stop there on the positives. Negatives: $11.50 for a margarita made with pure sugar mix from a food service bottle in neon green and a measured pour of tequila resulted in a margarita that taste like limeade. At least it was served in a frozen schooner. The beer is relatively cold which is ok. Let's move onto the food... the chips are clearly not made in house and of average flavor at best. But sadly the salsas are much worse, both the mild and "hot". I tried two enchiladas and a taco. One enchilada was veggies the other brisket. There was no question in my mind that the brisket would not be very good but I tried it anyway and it was as I expected. Food service quality brisket. Went to have dinner last night and to my surprise it was a terrible experience. The owner and all staff are to my surprise very unprofessional. There was a incident with a customer where what seemed like the family or other employees were sitting at a table being very loud and obnoxious. They poked fun at a family sitting at a table near are were speaking badly about them in Spanish to the point were the customer became very upset. Instead of apologizing to the customer and his family even the owner joined in. In the end words were exchanged and the customer left without paying for food they didn't eat. The owner was only worried about his ticket not being paid. When you have a business you need to be professional at all times and not allow "family" or "friends" ruing your customers experience. I've been here several times and have enjoyed the food but I don't think people should support a business like this. read more

Took a back road through Bridgeport, and since it's Cinco de Mayo, thought we'd stop. Fabulous! A wide variety of Mexican dishes. We had barbacoa and chicken pie, and thoroughly enjoyed both. DCG in Bridgeport exceeded expectations... for Bridgeport. Server was very efficient (even though she had a trainee tagging along) and friendly, albeit busy. I never wanted for a fresh beer or water refill. Salsa was tomato-ey just the way I like it and the chips were fresh. Queso (ask them to add taco meat) was well above average and the tacos al carbon were as well. Tender and flavorful. The rest of Wise County (yes YOU, Decatur!) could learn a lesson from the Bridgeport DCG. This is the way an establishent should be run. I'll go back again the next time I'm out that way. read more

I first encountered Dos Chilies in Bowie, then tried the old Bridgeport location and have also visited the Boyd local. The new location in Bridgeport is the best of the three buildings but the food is consistently good at all three location. The Bridgeport location has a full bar while the other two are in dry towns. Now serving breakfast on the weekends. The barbacoa is okay and the menudo is pretty good. read more

We had dinner here Friday night. Got there around 5, probably, and were seated immediately. Our waitress was nice and prompt. The menu was extensive and had a lot to choose from. The chips and salsa were alright, nothing special. The salsa was very tomato-saucy. Not bad. My husband got the beef and chicken fajita combo and was really pleased. He said that the meat was cooked and seasoned really well. I forget the name of what I got but it was basically a Mexican lasagna. It was layers of beans and beef layered between flour tortillas and covered with queso and a large dollop of guacamole. It was good. I think I would have liked it better if they had left the queso off. If I were to get this again I'd request they bring the queso on the side. Overall our experience was nice. The service was prompt and pleasant, the restaurant itself was nice and new looking, the food was good. Update: After this visit we returned several more times and had much better luck. After trying more items from their menu I grew to really love this restaurant. I'm glad we ended up going back! read more

When you're staying in Paradise (yes, it is nice) Bridgeport is the closest place to get a meal. A cheerful young lady brought us chips and salsa. The salsa was bland for our tastes, we like our Scoville ratings high; but most Americans don't like the heat. Can never go wrong with cheese and spinach enchiladas. Went well with a side of rice and beans and some of their good tortillas. I knew it was Tex Mex restaurant when I ordered in flawless Spanish and our waitress had no idea what I was saying. The place has a good ambiance and tall ceilings so the noise is at a minimum. We all enjoyed our dinners. Food was pretty good and there was a lot of it. All in all we were satisfied with our experience. We would be glad to return in the future. They just might want to shake up their spice rack a bit, as their food could use a bit more fire and spice to get up to five stars. read more
