Family run business cooking and serving the same food they'd feed to their family and friends. Clean restaurant - yes, you can see the kitchen - with tables at which to dine. Not fancy. Doesn't look like much on the inside; very simple place but the food is well worth a try. Best part of all: numerous #glutenfree options! They haven't killed me yet! #iykyk The owner knows about GF food do it's safe to eat here if you're GF. Because sure to try their chips and amazing salsa! Their salsa is probably the best we've ever had. The enchiladas are delicious! Live their street tacos (although I do prefer a crispy taco shell). Their taco filling is delicious!! Love the nachos too. They are really, really good with fajita style meat Actually, thinking about their food as I write this review - I would head over there right now got some but they are closed on Saturdays. It took 45 minutes to get my food and it was not bad but kind of bland but the customer service was great

Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Atmosphere: 7/10 If you're wanting great Mexican food for a great price then come here. The amount of food that you get for the price is well worth it. I usually always get the burrito Mexicano or the fajitas, (both are under $8 I believe). Almost everything is under $10! The chips I believe are homemade, along with their 3 sauces that they have. They all taste amazing! The burrito I get is huge and full of pinto beans, lots of chicken, and rice. I get it topped with a couch sauce that costs a little extra, and is well worth it. The chicken has great flavor, but a little dry sometimes. With the fajitas you get lotsssss of meat for what you're paying for! Comes mixed with bell peppers and onions for more flavor and of course some tortillas. The owners are awesome! Very friendly people that will help you decide on what you're wanting if you're having trouble. The way this place works is kind of like a fast food place. You walk up to the counter and order from the menu above the cash register. The menu isn't huge, but I like that! This is one of the best Mexican restaurants ever! Definitely by far the best anywhere around here! The California burrito was to die for!! So full of flavor, the grilled veggies were amazing, and the meat was so tender. We will be craving this until we can get back over this way again. The street tacos were great as well, rice is so flavorful! The chips and salsa are free and are also a 10/10. The owner is so friendly and nice! As we sat and ate dinner every customer that came in he knew their names and welcomed them back. New favorite place! read more

When the Hubby and I moved to Bridgeport in 2015, everyone told us the best Mexican food in town was Baja Street. Located on Halsell St. in an unassuming strip of a shopping center, you would never know that this hidden gem was there until you right in front of it and saw their sign. When we walked in for the first time we were greeted like old friends. Small menu, which is perfect for me who has a hard time deciding what to order. Questions were answered graciously, and order came out in record time. Chips and salsa to start which were fresh and delicious. The street tacos are to die for, and the Hubby likes the chili relleno and combo plate. Over the years the quality of the food has NOT declined, the service has NOT declined, and even through all the covid restrictions they managed to keep their spirits up and their service great. Hubby got out of the hospital and the first place we went out to eat was here. That tells you that you should visit and become a friend to the whole staff! By the way, after the first visit, they will know you by name and will greet you that way every time! read more

We'd been told about this place a while back but just tried it this past Sunday. It was dynamite! I ate one of the best chile rellenos I've ever had, and the cheese enchilada was excellent. My wife loved her fajitas. The decor is pretty plain and basic, but the staff is wonderfully courteous and pleasant. And the food! Go for the food. read more

A Pleasant surprise. I travel to Mexico just about every month for mission work. Sorry for now I live in California. I'm not a fan of Tex-Mex. I prefer authentic Mexican food. This was definitely authentic Mexican food. The people are very nice very informative. Have no issues making. Whatever it is you want to your specific needs. We got some chips and dip for our table. my aunt doesn't like very spicy sauce, so he gave her a side of Pico de gallo. The dip was perfectly spicy not overwhelming. doesn't burn your total inside just enough to give it a kick. My family didn't even know of this place. We were looking for a Mexican restaurant to go to and stumbled across this kind of a hole in the wall, but I was very very pleasantly surprised.. I will be visiting my aunt again in October near Cottondale. when we do, I will go back here for dinner again, well worth the drive. I'll get pics for another or updated review. Muy bien customer service! The owner and ladies are so sweet! You order up front and then go sit down at your table of choice. After sitting down, they bring you baskets of chips. They have a salsa bar. All of the salsa remind us of San Diego. We enjoyed enchiladas, fajitas, and tacos. The food was delicious. The owner is outstanding! He even came and told us some recipes to make at home. He was so friendly and attentive to all the tables. He greeted every single person either by name or make an effort to meet them.
