My friend took me here as the fams are frequent visitors to Whataburger. I ordered the combo, which came with the burger, fries or onion rings and a drink. Service was really friendly, and they even bring out a tray with condiments to your table. (We don't have this in SD.) The burger was "wet". I'm not sure if it was moist from the grease or from the chopped lettuce from when it was washed. Needless to say, my burger was all over the place. The patty was pretty small/flat. I actually finished the burger faster than my friend! That tells a lot since I usually order kid's meals. The onion rings saved the day. I tried both the OR and FF. The OR won me over. FF were kind of limpy. The drink cup was pretty big for a standard sized drink. I was happy that they offer diet dr. pepper. MMMMM!!!! There is a CJ's (Carl's Jr.) that apparently opened next door. I'm a big fan of CJ's burger. Perhaps trying a W burger vs. a CJ's burger and see for yourself which fares over the other. read more

I have visited this location multiple times and each time I have had the same cashier (Kevin Melton). Usually late (near 1 a.m.) and near the end of his shift, and each time I was treated with the upmost professionalism and top tier service. So much I asked him for his name on the back of the receipt specifically to write this review. Accommodating to every request and provided better service than I've received at 90 percent of the higher end restaurants often visit. I hope this makes it to corporate because this young man deserves recognition for the level of customer service he provides. read more

I have no issues with this location, the only issue I have is they always forget my sauces when I request sauces. Even if my order comes with a sauce they won't add it!!!! If I had a dollar for every time I has reminders location about my damn sauce, I can buy the location. Service has gone downhill at the Live Oak location. The drive through was getting the orders wrong so I started going in to order. While waiting on my order on 12/30/2018 I noticed other people waiting on to go orders and when they finally got them they were missing parts of the orders. It was a very long wait for me, but my order was correct. I think at this point driving to Burger King will be worth it to be able to get correct and fast service even at the drive through. read more

I was just in the drive thru and we were literally blocked in from leaving for almost 20 min because 3 cars ahead of us were had delays on their orders. Not knowing why we were blocked and rather than telling customers to park, several cars were stuck! When I asked my daughter to go to the window to ask all we got was attitude from the drive thru guy! He literally stared at me with so much attitude like I did something wrong and then my daughter witness him throw our food at the counter while again giving us a dirty look because we "customers" were rightfully upset! By this point I was beyond upset that he tossed my food around, I just drive right passed the drive thru window! Who knows what they did to our food!!! I have a couple of the caloric blackholes otherwise known as teenagers - we go to Whataburger *a lot*. (That's kinda the great thing about teenagers though - they're perfect excuse to justify my own burger addiction :) ) We end up at this particular WB most often - it's just the most convenient to our daily (well... nightly is more like it, in my world) travels - but each time we do, I leave wishing I had just sucked up the threat of bored Universal City cops and headed to the P.Book location instead. This one is generally dirty - sticky floors, trash/food scraps on and under the tables, etc - and the overnight manager Margo, who usually takes our order, is more often than not grumpy and unpleasant. The 2ish a.m. timeframe, and no doubt an evening of dealing with post-bar bro crowd on their part, garners a lot of slack in my book. .. But not *that* much. Generally we haven't had much of any issue with food quality - standard Whataburger goodness - but tonight is the second night in a row we've run in for to-go burgers, and arrived home to find poorly-put-together mehness. Whataburger, in general, is great. But there are definitely better location options than this one. read more

We always dine in at this location and as many times as we send food back I would never try the drive thru. Took three tries to get my burger right and two tries for my wife. They gave her a junior patty in the whataburger buns, (where's the beef). The drive thru was non stop and watching the confusion from the inside was almost comical. The bathroom was out of paper towels and no one was cleaning the tables unless you asked. We will give this location a break, hopefully they will get more organized. read more

As much as I love whataburger, this one is far from satisfactory. The service was very slow, our food was cold, and two burgers were missing the patty. Im fairly certain a #1 is a hamburger. These shining stars managed to get in the cheese, extra pickles, and mustard and leave off the onion but forgot a patties. read more

TMI Alert! It's a family tradition to stop at this Whataburger location on the way to and from Laredo... to use their restrooms. If you have to spend time in a strange rest room, isn't it better to spend time in one that smells like french fries vs poo? I think so. This last visit, however, the bath room was a little gross and needed a bit of cleaning. We came here around midnight this time around. The night shift seemed to be run by kids. They weren't all that professional, but they got the job done. A couple of the boys were reluctant to help us, but we got taken care of when the 3rd girl showed up. One final thought, Whataburger needs to up the difficulty of the puzzles on the kid's meal bags. Excellent service! The dining room attendant (she's from Germany) has to be one of the nicest dining room attendants of all-time. The food was well prepared and the dining room service was outstanding! I will certainly be back. We met my sister and her family, my cousin and her family, and my family of 7. Plenty of great seating and it's right off the highway. I recommend to stop at this venue if you're ever in the San Antonio area and you're craving a Whataburger. read more

First off, I'm always skeptical about eating at whataburger but this time was the worst. Will not ever spend any more money at this franchise. I had a bacon egg cheese biscuit. It taste so bad. I've had this biscuit before and it wasn't to bad. But this time I literally spit it back into the yellow paper and trashed it. So much for breakfast before work.
