Today, we visited our first Whataburger. I had heard nothing but praise ever since Murfreesboro opened its first of this fast food staple. Upon walking in, there was nobody at the front counter. We stood and waited as workers took orders at the windows, brought out food to tables, made shakes, and cooked in the back. Nobody stopped to say "Someone will be with you in a second" or acknowledge us. It wasn't a super welcoming start. Once the cashier came to the front, she took our order and was very friendly. I got a chicken sandwich, fries, and a chocolate shake. We were given a table marker and went to choose our seats. The inside looked like your standard fast food restaurant. We chose a booth, which was a little sticky. There was also food and smudges across the booth dividers-- and what looked to be children's hand prints. The food arrived promptly! The milk shakes were so thick. They had a rich chocolate taste and were actually similar to shake shack! The food, however, was pretty mediocre. The fries were skinny fries similar to steak and shake. The quality of meat/chicken sandwich tasted very similar to sonic. The food tasted like very mid fast food to me. I feel like Chick-fil-a and Shake Shack are on another level; however, Whataburger falls into the same category as Sonic, Dairy Queen, and Steak and Shake. It does look like Whataburger is open 24/7. That might be nice if out for a concert, road trip, or late night! There are not a ton of restaurants opened past 10 or 11. Overall, I wasn't overly impressed and the inside was pretty grungy for just opening a few months ago. The entire experience reminded me of eating at an orange Dairy Queen. Not sure it's worth the hype; however, the shakes are good and extended hours are a plus. It reminded me most of a dairy queen

The best thing about this place was the highly carbonated beverages and the super yummy fries! Otherwise, the food was pretty lackluster, every table was dirty, yet the staff was really friendly! Unfortunately, that's not enough to bring me back for a visit.

Have to say I had high hopes, but this is probably the worst place and worst experience I have experienced in a long time. First I ordered and the woman had my order wrong after I paid. No big deal I just tell her she misses my last combo I offered so we reorder the missing combo. She keys in a shake and med. fries.. WTH... she never added the burger. So now I have to order a burger. Cost me $16.00 for one combo because it took three different transactions to get a damn meal. Fries and burgers came out cold and put together sloppy. I'll stick with BK for my fast food needs... absolutely horrible place both food and service.

This is the line behind me that has also been waiting 45minutes to and hour for their paid for food.

If I could leave a lower rating I would!! Today I waited an hour for my food to be brought to my car after paying through the drive thru... The Service is TERRIBLE and the management here needs to do better. The food was cold and burnt. Will NEVER be eating here again.

I love Whataburger and will choose it over In-N-Out any day! This one has gotten my order wrong 2/3 times, though unfortunately. The cashier takes my order correctly, my receipt is right, but my burger is not made right. Yesterday when they remade it they still didn't get it right. I know they're busy but just wish they could slow down and read the notes. I still love Whataburger and the employees are always kind. Just hope they get it right next time!

Where do I even begin? We've been here 3 times so far and they haven't gotten a single order right and when I say not right I mean way wrong. The last two visits whole items were missing and the burgers were completely wrong. I wish that was the only issue, buuuuttt it's not. Customer service? Nope! Not only will you wait half hour in the drive through but you'll wait nearly that long even if you order on the app/website. Go inside the dirty lobby to get your order corrected and you'll wait for someone to come to the counter too, but the girl who did correct it was polite. The strangest of all the visits, my tea was so weak it looked like dirty water. We were super stoked to get a Whataburger but sadly, this was our last visit.

I took a look at the menu and it didn't really resemble what most food trucks offer. The offerings indicated someone who cooked using a bit of flair and looked like they knew how to enhance a dish with sauces. I selected the Rosemary Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas. Now these are not like any quesadilla I've had as a "appetizer" at many restaurants, this was a creative melding of intricate flavors into a quasi-soft shell taco/quesadilla. The grilled chicken had great flavor and the bacon and ranch really complemented the quesadilla. The tortilla was perfect, slightly crisp, and held the entire quesadilla together and didn't fall apart after the first bite. To top it all off...I got to meet the owners/operators Frankie and Tony Wong. This couple works hard, serve up great food, and are really fun to talk to. Highly recommend you like and subscribe to their FB Page. Their menu is a dry erase board and changes daily, I can't wait to see what special item they will create next. https://www.facebook.com/Myrootsfoodtruck

The TRIPLE LAYER TOMATO AND BASIL GRILLED CHEESE ON SOURDOUGH was delish! Soft, with a crunchy outside and surprisingly not too much bread. A good amount of cheese and flavor. I'd definitely recommend. CRINKLE CUT FRIES were over cooked. I'm sad to say I didn't even finish them, which is rare for me since this cut of fries is my absolute favorite! Just too crunch and the flavor was heavy on the oil, rather than potato. Total cost was $9 before tip, which made it one of the least expensive items on the truck. Customer service was professional. Food was made quickly and from order. Pretty good, IMO.

Tap in below: -Being from Nevada, we had stop in to support a former Nevadan owned business. Ron just got a knee surgery and was hard at work!!! Anna was in the kitchen running around and all hands were on deck making sure everyone was tended to, and had not just phenomenal service, but phenomenal food! The sense of community spoke mountains as my fiancée was wished a happy birthday by a daughter of a firefighter, we watched her open the door for a local who came in, and as beautiful as that was.... Ron was known by all the locals and this restaurant spoke community from the minute you walked in. As for the food: -Steak plate: 5/5 Well seasoned, home cooking. If you've walked into your home and you had mom make you a hot plate of food, that's what this experience reminded me of. Home. There were smiles as we ate, flavors that reminded us of home cooking, just a classic diner experience that makes you feel a sense of community. It was just a perfectly cooked over medium egg, a scramble of steak and potatoes that was seasoned well, just a quality dining experience. -Chicken and waffles: 4.5/5 Southern classic. Breading was the only thing I'd change on the chicken but a fluffy waffle met with sweet syrup and a crispy chicken. Savory meets sweet and it's just done simple and done right. Chatting with Ron and Anna, the community is blessed to have them in this town and the twin yolk is somewhere I'd say is a true hole in the wall you'd miss unless you knew about it. Hoping this provides the visibility for you to share this heart warming experience as well.
