This has been my favorite place for a sub--until today. My Italian had ZERO cheese and there was no ham--they put turkey on it. Allow me to start off by saying that the promotional tie-in with the Nashville Predators has introduced me to your great tasting food. Even though this store is close to my home, I have favored other chain sub sandwich stores. The tie in for a free sandwich has gotten me interested in making this a more regular stop. Today's visit was less than satisfying in terms of service and was also very much inconsistent with my several previous visits. I shall explain. For some reason today, I had problems with the on-line ordering to get my free sub. I tried ordering the free food, with extra meat, cheese and a drink. When I mentioned this to the lady at the register, she showed zero sympathy and cut me off with a comment, "You'll just have to keep trying. I don't know anything about that. Next!" I realize it was a busy time, but wouldn't it have been nice to say something encouraging or refer me to a manager? I guess not. So I got my beverage and started my wait for my food. Over a dozen people passed in front of me and picked up their order. I politely asked about my order and indicated I had been waiting a while. The crew looked for my food and then announced that my order had not been activated yet. They said it would be another 25 minutes before it could be activated. At this point, again, trying to be polite, I said that I had been a regular customer and every previous time, I was treated differently. Whenever I placed an on-line order while standing at the register, I was told that the website gives a ridiculously long wait time, and that they would get on it right away. Service was prompt and polite in those previous experiences. Today, i was told that I have to wait because, "It is not fair to all the other customers". There were no other customers waiting for food. Was it fair to make me wait another 25 minutes? Explaining the inconsistency in service, I was told, "We have noted that every other time you have been here, you have asked to have your order right away." This is false. Every other time, I was OFFERED the expedited service. I also wonder what the lady meant when she said, "We have noted..." Is there a file on me that I do not know about? I would love to continue getting the free food, of course and partially accept that paying customers deserve better treatment. I would also like to bring in more business. However, if this level of treatment continues, I will pass even on the free food tie in with the Predators. read more

False advertisement, the food is not served anything like the market photos. Super over priced. Very thin subs about half the normal width and barely filled. They really skimp On the meat. Taste was ok , very salty. The fries were soggy and for almost $9 they barely filed the cup. Shame because we like the the type of fries. Very poor and rude service. I waited 45 minutes as many many people came and went who apparently ordered online. The young man at the register didn't know when my sandwiches would be ready nor was he concerned with it. I asked to be issued a refund and the man at the grill refused to come over and issue me a refund. I waited another 15 minutes until someone else came on shift and she very rudely gave me a refund. I'll never give this place my business again. I can see being understaffed and busy but at least offer a refund and be courteous. read more

3 stars just for the fries! They have the perfect fries here! Crunchy and soft, topped with ketchup and malt vinegar... just the way I like it! As for anything else we ordered... the pizza sub, turkey bacon wrap, and cheese steak, they were NOT good. AT. ALL. Poor flavors, dry, and just unappetizing. PS. This was my first time ever to a Penn Station and I think it went really well. It took a little bit of time for the food to come out, but I could tell the staff was definitely taking their time to get everything right. I have been coming here for years and today just topped the cake. The prices here are already high for a sub place. I have always just paid because it was always so good and never was skimmed on meat. My photo speaks for itself. This is ridiculous. The amount of meat on here belongs on a kids sub not a regular. As much as I love the food here service was awful. Came in an hour before close and was the only customer. Ordered my food to go and went home. I live about 15 minutes away and my cheesesteak was all wrong ( my other sandwich very sloppy but at least right. I drive all the way back to get it fixed. No apology. No offer for anything else. Just made in silence and handed to me like I was the inconvenience. I understand things get messed up but after driving about 30 minutes round trip an apology would have made it so much better. So I've seen Penn Station around before but never thought of coming here and I'm not sure why. But one day after church i just wanted something and a new place for a sandwhich so i wanted to try it. I got the cheesesteak small sub which was plenty for me and some fries. This cheesesteak is probably the best i have had! I loved the bread it was on and the meat to bread ratio was perfect! I will not be returning back to this location! I've been going to the this one since I was little and ever since medical center opens it's been terrible. I go last week pay for my food, leave, and my order was completely wrong. Called and said my order would be taken care of the next time I came in there no questions asked. All I can say is YUM!! This was our first time eating here and I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner. I had the monthly special and it was delicious. My husband loves sandwiches and he said this is his new favorite sandwich shop. The portions are huge and everything is so melt in your mouth flavorful. The fresh fries are to die for. For a hot sub, it's kind of expensive. Even with a coupon for buy-one-get-one we ended up spending $18 for two subs, two fries, and two drinks. That being said, The Italian sub was delicious, and the philly cheese steak was not too bad either. The hand cut fries were very tasty as well. We went on a Sunday afternoon when families were there after church. It was kind of busy, but we didn't wait very long for our subs, I just think the tables could have been a little cleaner. I moved to Dallas years ago and we don't have one, but I make sure to hit this location during every visit. Today's visit was perfection. The cashier helped my mother-in-law through her options very thoughtfully. She's from another country and was ambivalent about where I was taking her to eat The cashier explored ideas about how we could separate our fries and reminded us that drinks were refillable when we worried about sizes. She was just as professional, helpful, and kind as every business person should treat customers. The food. I'll break it down-the friggin bread is soft on the inside and crisp on the outside. The perfect home for real beef-hello-real beef that is succulent and divine. The cheese. Nom nom the vegetables are fresh and crisp. Ok, the friggin lemonade is so fresh, so fresh and pure for this clean eater. Yes, I almost always eat clean, but I make exceptions when it's worth it-penn station sandwiches are worth every drip of mayonnaise and every crispy, fresh french fry! Greasiest sandwich I have ever had (could not finish) in my life. Got the special 12" Philly. Was over $15 for the meal, which I kind of understood. Went to pull my sandwich out and it poured grease all over the floor and my clothes. The fries (I paid extra for) were the size of a dixie cup. Ended up chucking it. This location has a new owner; and I have yet to connect with most of the new staff. However, the food is always hot, service is always good. Curious what to order? Philly Cheesesteak, lite onions, (mushrooms if you like - say lite), banana peppers or green peppers. Say no to mayo, mustard or pizza sauce. Small Fries Tea or Lemonade. How to start? Had very high expectations for this place only to be let down. Customer Service bad start to finish; manager to crew. Taste and quality; not even close super greasy. Price EXPENSIVE; especially for quantity. This is my first and last visit. I came in and the manger, who was working the register, asked if I was ready to order? No hello, no how are you, nada... straight to business. Ok. When I stated I had never been here she said ok and went to the grill; no suggestions, no help, no questions to be answered. After placing my order I went down the line to pay and at the register the young unkept, dirty and unclean looking cashier pulled up my order where I noticed they had an app. I asked if it was worth getting the app, his response was I don't know I don't use it. I stepped away from the cashier to sign up and noticed they offer a free 6" on first visit, so I went back up to pay and asked if I could pay the difference because I ordered an 8", the young lady that came up said that the computer has no way of doing that. After going through that debacle I figured maybe the food will be good, sadly mistaken. I got an 8" Philly cheesesteak that came out greasy and with little to no meat on it. Feels like I ate an onion, pizza sauce, and bread sandwich. Upon delivering my sandwich (that same scruffy guy from earlier) said I'll be back with your fries because they weren't ready. Didn't proceed to ask me if I needed anything. What did I expect, after all he barely exists in his job. While eating my lunch I noticed that the ingredients are picked up with no gloves and the employees bounce back and forth from cooking and registers ... no hand washing no gloves ... I watched a gentleman come off break, who looked like he hadn't slept in months jump right to work (no hand washing). The price is way to expensive ... 8" sub/small fry/small soda $12.50 ... outrageous because the amount of food you get and quality doesn't justify the cost. It's not like they were super personable and amazing. The only redeeming quality helping get a forced one star was the wonderful, cheery and thoughtful lady handing out free cookies. I'm from California and have met some of the nicest people in Tennessee it's sad that this business will not be part of that statement. If you don't care how your treated, live in grease, and light your cigars with money then this is the spot for you. I myself will stick to the companies that offer quality, quantity and customer service at the highest levels. read more
