Their burgers are OK. The workers are friendly as well however if ordering in store the wait times are extremely long. The restaurant prioritizes the drive thru over the front counter. However, i had to pause eating here because I saw a roach crawling up the wall behind the counter; and usually where there is one roach, there are more. This place is slow. Came in at 0640 on a Friday. Multiple employees working. No one at front register sat there for probably 5-7 mins before someone came from the back. Ordered the Number 20 with bacon and a large coffee was told it would be a while cause they didn't have any coffee brewed yet. It was 0640 in the morning. How do you not have coffee made? There should be a lower rating than one star. The people are nice but they are running a terrible operation and coming here is not worth it if you need a quick and easy stop. It took 15 minutes just to order (there were only two people in front of us in line but the cashier was in and out of the register area) and then an additional 40 minutes to get our two sandwiches. When we got them, one of the sandwich orders was wrong, so I went up to fix the order. At the time, the manager was working on fixing OTHER incorrect orders so it was a recurring issue they're facing. The managers were helpful but there clearly are training failures or needs that need to be addressed. The whole ordeal took an hour just to get two sandwiches and it was not busy when I arrived. Spent seven minutes waiting for someone to take my order, as the only customer in the store. I got passed off to someone else three times. The woman who took my order was FaceTiming someone and acted like I was an inconvenience. I asked for a whataburger and a small order of fries. It got rung up as a medium whataburger meal combo, AND a small order of fries. I didn't realize it until I saw my receipt. When I queried the cashier, she informed me that since it was a credit card transaction, there was no way she could give a refund. She then offered to give me a cash refund, which I hesitantly accepted. Sadly, she only had a single dollar in the register. She said it was the best she could do. The past few years, each visit to Jackson always includes the tradition of "Waiting" for a #2 Double Meat Whataburger fully dressed with fries and a vanilla shake. Technology always gets us through the 15 minute wait; But i have to remind myself it's not about the wait...it's about the burger. While this tradition doesn't have the fanfare of Christmas or a Halloween, it is a tradition never the less. But today, when the burger bun is hard, the double patties are over cooked the reality is that I waited 15 minutes to have hard, cold food. It could have been the time of day, or that they were swamped with customers, but my kids food was also similarly dried out. While the shake was great, the overall experience make me realize that it's all about the burger and sometimes traditions must end. read more

The food here is consistent with other Whataburger locations. Sadly, this is the absolute slowest location I've ever visited as other have mentioned. The girl up front was ignoring customers, myself included while she tried to bus orders to tables...one at a time...extremely slowly. I imagine I'd rarely give fast food places five stars, but this visit was on point. The drive thru wasn't the fastest but it wasn't too unbearable either. The employees were quite jovial. The double checked my order and wished me a good night and safe driving. I was a drive thru team member at Chick-fil-A when I was in college, so my expectations are extremely high because I know it's possible to be accurate, friendly and fast. For the first time in a long time I didn't hate my drive thru experience. And to top it off my patty melt was so delicious with amazing savory flavor and my onion rings were just crispy enough to make them easy to eat but soft enough to still taste the onions. I had not enjoyed a Whataburger since leaving Texas so I decided to forgo a "healthy" dinner and dine here. Was not only the staff lazy, inept, the food was horribly wrong. There was a funny taste after I took my first bite. I separated everything and narrowed it down to the meat. Horrible smell and taste. I would have brought this to the attention of the manager, but the line was just too long. Do not eat here. God I hope Whataburger has not declined this low.
