First time ever having whataburger. I'd honestly give it a 2.5 because the fries were good and they had brewed unsweetened iced tea. My go to. But everything else seemed focused on quantity not quality. At almost 600 calories for a burger you could definitely find a better bang for your buck. And when I asked to make it a small, because holy cow those sizes, they told me it is still the same price. So you are incentivized to overeat. Personal opinion I think they are overrated. This WAS our go-to restaurant, but now.... On August 22, 2025, I placed an online order (#203-5616) for pickup at your Pat Booker Road, Universal City location. The order was placed around 11:00 p.m., with an estimated completion of 11:20 p.m. I arrived at 11:25 p.m. and waited curbside, but by 11:50 p.m. my food was still not ready. When I went inside to ask about the delay, an employee named Sean walked past me and, instead of apologizing, told me to "fuck off" his actual words. This behavior is unacceptable and extremely disrespectful. The manager on duty, Jessa, confirmed the employee's name and offered a free meal on a future visit, but no refund or meaningful apology was provided. As a loyal customer of Whataburger for decades, I am deeply disappointed and offended by this experience. I ask that corporate review this incident and take appropriate corrective action to ensure this does not happen to another customer. I did contact the customer relations department via email and was sent back a response that said "here's a refund sorry for your inconvenience" INCONVENIENCE!!?? Just picked up an online order on my lunch break. The sandwich was smashed and flattened with intent and I just vomited right now. I wished I took a photo of this. I'm usually not one to complain but this location is usually a disappointment. Workers are rude and not properly trained in fast food services. They take FOREVER to take your order in the drive thru, they take forever to tender you out and bring food to you. The food is usually a hit or miss mostly the fries. One tip for the workers if you can't take the order right away let the customers know you will be with them shortly instead of not acknowledging them at the drive thru. Maybe we all need to call corporate to get this location fixed. Oh and the vibes here are so weird, everyone seems really uptight and hates their life. Please bring some joy. read more

Very disappointed in our service this evening. My family and I went in around 6:30pm where we weren't spoken to at all when approaching the counter. Madison didn't say one word. Just starred at us as if we were inconvenience her. The only thing she asked was what dipping sauce my son wanted. My burger was wrong when we got it and when we told the girl who gave us the order she kept questioning what we ordered. I am NEVER one to leave bad reviews. I know people have bad days. But this was one for the books. I got 3 meals in the drive thru on a Sunday. We waited over 30 min. And I never complained. The complaint is when I opened my drink cup there was a piece of the fountain machine in it. Whoever poured the drink saw it break. And didn't think to pour it out and say the machine broke. Came to get the birthday shake as advertised on the app for free. Restaurant was busy , at least the drive thru was I'll give them that.on the app I put I would be there between 655 and 710 .i arrived at 700.I waited till 720 to receive my shake. I was told the shake machine was not working properly.I could tell it wasn't by the way my shake was melted.I asked for a additional shake to give a family member because I sat so long. I went in whataburger yesterday night I ordered my food through the Mobile app and as I went in there I let the employee know that I was here to pick up my order, I let them know the name of the order, they gave me the cup so I can get a drink then sat down I waited for almost an hour but when new customers were coming in to place an order they got their food while I was still waiting on my order after that couple minutes go by I walked up to one of the employees at the front counter and I asked "is my food ready" then I said the name of the order then the employee went to the back of the kitchen where there was a shelf and whole time my food was sitting right there so when the employee gave me the food all she said was "sorry" I checked the bag to see if my food was cold but it wasn't and then while I was checking the bag I noticed that they gave me the wrong sauce so I asked the lady that was an employee if I can get the sauce that I asked for on the receipt she came back with the sauce I wanted. then I asked her if I can speak to the manager then when Nathan (the manager) came to the cash register he caught an attitude with me when I asked him if I can get a reimbursement. I would not recommend going to this fast food place at all they are very unprofessional in their business that they do and bad customer service. read more

Horrible service. Sat in drive through with one other car for 10 minutes and then they skipped me when another car pulled up in the other side. I drove up to the window and instead of apologizing and taking my order, they just started with excuses of how busy they are and how long it was gonna take, etc. I was one of two customers in the whole parking lot/drive through. Second time I ordered a burger and a shake. Burger had a bun hard and dry like a hockey puck. Third time I got a burger and a shake. Just ordered lunch thru the drive thru in Universal City in Pat Booker Rd. I order a #7 meal which is a Whataburger Jr meal. I ordered the burger with only mustard, ketchup, cheese and pickles/upgraded my fries to a Medium (instead of the small that comes with the meal), and a SM Diet Coke with EXTRA ice. Picture #1 shows what the order was taken as - burger with NO PICKLES, ADD KETCHUP w/cheese --MED fries -- small Diet Coke EASY ICE . The order was called back to me as it appears on the receipt, so I corrected the young man at the drive thru regarding the drink and burger and I asked for 3 ketchups when he asked. I received the following (pic #2&3): Whataburger Jr w/cheese but no Mustard Small Fries (charged for a MED on receipt) 1 ketchup Small DC extra ice Essentially my entire order was wrong at some point in the process - I was headed to a meeting @ work or else I would have gone into the store to have my order corrected AGAIN. And the reason for this is because when I order my meal thru the drive thru and told them no ketchup put mayo instead.
