He looks through my box for about 5 seconds while preoccupied on the phone, probably looks at about 3 actual comics and then goes back to his phone call. He then decides to ring up the person behind me while I'm still waiting. Guy behind me spends $40 some bucks on comics and the cashier can't be bothered to put the phone down and even speak to him! Guy finally gets off the phone and tells me that all my comics are stuff he'd see in a dollar bin & if I can get 5 cents a piece for them take it. Wow what a waste of my time! Will not be coming back to this store

I even bought very low cost cards as I collect Lorcana and requested(if they could) to penny sleeve them all instead of putting them together in a pack and told them I'd pay extra. They accommodated me and only charged another 5$ which I expected it to be a lot more. I also love it as my S/O never felt harassed or looked down upon by being a female they were so excited to share stories and help find items and just loving the genre and hobby. I usually hate leaving their side because of harassment but I felt comfortable exploring while they have a good time talking and laughing to the employees! When I confronted he and his wife, he denied saying anything and then became belligerent and she said he has dementia and doesn't know what he says (if that is the case, then he should not be in the store being rude to potential customers). They also carry stunning leather bound books along with drawing supplies for the artists and creatives out there. Wandering through this bookstore felt like stepping into a magical little world that I genuinely did not want to leave. Even though we stopped in close to closing time, the owner never once made us feel rushed or like an inconvenience. She was incredibly welcoming, kind, and happy to have us there. Purchased the Kindle Blind Bundle for $15 and I feel totally ripped off. It was 5 stickers and a kindle charm that plugs into the charging port. The stickers are out of season - autumn stickers in December and one of them is a branded sticker for the bookstore. The TikTok shop sticker isn't relative to books and I've never purchase anything there - I could have gotten a better sticker set on Temu for less. The kindle charm plugs into the USB port which runs the risk of damaging your kindle and can be easily lost when taking it out to charge the kindle. It looks very fragile and it could break easily. I'm not damaging my kindle because of a $15 mistake. I absolutely won't use any of these so a total waste of money. The store has potential but a bummer.

They sell vintage books, clothing , fanciful items, handmade bookmarks, and upcycled jewelry amongst antique furniture and comfy seating areas to read books. One can spend hours browsing new and old books in this bookstore for hours. The Netflix Series: The Summer I Turned Pretty was filmed there - starring Lola Tung, Gavin Casalegno and Christopher Briney. The bookstore was filmed in the scene where Laurel and Susannah see writer Cleveland Castillo at the Whale of a Tale bookshop (Episode 1.3) (Episode 1.3) One of the most unique and joyful bookstore experiences I ever had in my life.
