What's the Kitch was definitely a surprise when I attended a event that was presented as "Ramen Cart". All the items were supplied to make a bowl with Ramen and a warm broth on a cool winter weather day. The table looked great with a cool neon light. Everything was set up by the Chef. I didn't take his photo but I did meet him and take his name. He said they make all the food. The vegetables looked fresh and delicious and I'm sure took a lot of preparation. Everyone lined up to make their bowl. Families and children all enjoyed the event. I can definitely understand the Five Stars on the reviews. There's so many options offered by this catering company. I'm recommending! How Wtk was presented for this event: "Warm up in the wintertime with a warm bowl of ramen! We enlisted WTK for our wedding and utilized their floating dinner option. From start to finish the experience was wonderful. They were so kind, and went above and beyond throughout the entire experience to ease the process and make sure we were happy. The food was wonderful day of, our guests loved the dishes and there was so much food to go around all night. We were able to fully customize the menu to what we wanted, and the team accommodated many requests. WOW! So many amazing things we could say about Jeff and Dave! In the beginning of the planning process, Dave helped us pick the floating style dinner (their specialty). This was the best decision that we could have chosen. The food was spectacular (especially the mac and cheese egg rolls) and each item was a huge hit from our guests. Not only was the food incredible, but the effort and care that Dave and Jeff put into our wedding was phenomenal. They helped get our rentals in order. I had been in contact with them for well over a year before finally having our wedding in October 2021, and throughout the entire process they made everything easy and seamless. I am a very indecisive person, and I constantly emailed Dave with questions, menu choice changes, and a million other things and he was patient and helpful the entire time! We originally were going to do a few passed appetizers and then 2 stations, but changed our minds to a full "floating supper" and it was amazing! Our guests loved having food constantly flowing throughout the night and not having to completely stop dancing, talking or taking photos in order to sit down and eat. Their menu alone made our mouths water, so we were excited for our food at our wedding, but they definitely exceeded our expectations! Our guests constantly came up to us to tell us how amazing the food was! The chicken parm bites and the lobster rolls were HUGE hits for our group, but in all honesty EVERYTHING was amazing! I had the pleasure of working with What's The Kitch in November 2017. They provided a full-service experience---food, beverage, staffing and rentals---for my 250-person corporate cocktail reception. This was a high-profile event for my global company and the the environment was challenging as the event was onsite at our Manhattan office. They did a tremendous job on all counts. The pre-planning process was smooth, I always felt taken care of and could immediately tell, though the company is still 'young', that I was working with seasoned professionals. The food and presentation was highly rated and well received by attendees. The buzz of the evening was around the artfully crafted grazing table piled high with international cheese spreads, fruits, nuts, hummus and more. Some described it as Anthropology display window piece, it was THAT gorgeous! The staff was attentive and friendly. The best way, or biggest compliment, to describe the evening is that though the event ended at 6:30 half the attendees were still enjoying themselves well after 8:00pm. Natasha was my point-of-contact from the start and immediately gained my confidence. She was professional, prompt and thorough. She helped me develop a plan even when the first time she saw my event space it was completely under construction. She crafted a staffing plan that would work with the space restrictions and was always one step ahead of me. Dave, the executive chef and co-founder, was also hugely instrumental in the events success. He developed the menu around our warming kitchen's restrictions without compromising on the traditional and popular dishes. Again, true professionals clearly experience in Manhattan's scope---asking questions ahead of time such as where's the circuit breaker box, what are open flame restrictions, you'll need a fire warden---these questions prompted thorough prep and avoided issues during the event. Last minute requests were made on rentals, providing a board member with a completely nut-free entree with no notice and getting bowties for the staff --- all requests were met with a can-do attitude and they delivered! I highly recommend What's The Kitch based on the delicious, innovative menu, execution and presentation during the event and knowing that they are an experienced and professional team. read more

They catered our corporate fall party and our clients loved the food! We had the party in our showroom and also had a Biergarten on our building rooftop and they executed the different spaces perfectly - with separate Oktoberfest themed bites for the Biergarten! We had a live food slider station inside that guests loved as well - it's so nice having fresh food being cooked throughout the evening so guests can enjoy it hot as soon as it's made! We misjudged our headcount and had over 100+ additional guests show up to the party and they were so accommodating - making several trips to get more food and liquor! Dave and his team go above and beyond to deliver great service, and their menu options were more creative than every other catering company in the city. Amazing! Dave was a true gem. He was really easy to work with and helped us to create the perfect menu for the occasion. Cooked on location, the food was fresh and delicious - Everybody kept raving about how great it was! They were attentive with the amount of food that was needed for the size of our event, leaving us with plenty of food to enjoy with some remaining to nibble on (late night grub always a plus when there's a lot of alcohol involved). I was running around hosting and I didn't have to worry, given that they took complete charge of cooking, setting up and then cleaning up after themselves. Jeffrey and his staff are very professional. From the very beginning I love his "if you want it, we can make it happen" attitude. And that's exactly what he did. We wanted a selection of light bites and he guided us in choosing just the right combination. They were all superb--I couldn't even select a favorite. The party started at 6:30 and the food kept being replenished til the party ended several hours later. It was all prepared right in our apartment on the Upper West Side, which added to the intimate feeling we aimed for. And, as promised, the clean-up left the kitchen and dining area sparkling! They are the dream team for foodies. They catered my wedding last week at the Bronx Museum of The Arts and we could not have been happier with how perfect and magical everything turned out. Our guests keep talking about our food and our only regret is that we ourselves didn't spend more time eating. This is a follow-up review as they did another event. Had 20 people at my dad's apartment for some out-of-town family which includes some very fussy eaters. Again as professional as they could be. A lot of fun with the planning and very helpful with their ideas. Came right on time and got to work cooking and laying out the grazing table - quite beautiful and inviting. About half hour after the guests all arrived, they started passing small bites. The service was wonderful, friendly and discrete. What's The Kitch catered my daughter's "Backyard BBQ" theme engagement party on the roof of her apartment building in Brooklyn. They were a pleasure to work with from the planning to the execution stage, including clean up. They were incredibly patient and understanding as I went back and forth over selections, and struggled with going casual or more upscale. On the day of the event we were able to enjoy the party and mingle with the guests and they took care of every detail, and kept the food coming throughout. I attended a business holiday party Monday evening. I was able to sample the fare that steadily came out of the kitchen. The pulled pork sliders were a favorite as was the shrimp/avocado toast! There was plenty of veggie fare for folks who don't partake in meat or fish. One of the deserts passed around was a shortbread cup with a slice of banana and banana pudding! Another desert was the Hot Chocolate Station, hot chocolate with choices of white chocolate chips, dark chocolate chips, peppermint sticks, spices, marshmallows AND either Kahlua or Bailey's! I recently booked WTK for my bridal shower on 3/24/18 and it was INCREDIBLE! I have guests still calling me asking for their information. Everything was smooth and effortless from start to finish. Dave helped me create a menu that would appeal to all while taking special care to the fact I had several guests who were vegetarians, gluten free, and had allergies. There was something for everyone and not one complaint in the room. The food was served fresh, cooked on the spot and served in beautiful displays. It added such a special touch to my event and I couldn't be happier. A favorite among my guests were the chicken and waffles, shrimp tostadas, and the bourbon mearballs. My absolute favorite was the mini crab cakes. Oh, I cannot forget to mention the mini grilled cheese sandwiches that were buttery and flavorful and went flying off the display as soon as they were prepared. All in all, WTK made my day extra special and I would and have recommend them to anyone.
