Unfortunately, that has been my experience more times than I'd like to admit. The first shop I called gave me a bad feeling right away based on their customer service, but I still made an appointment. Afterward, I checked their Yelp reviews and was shocked by how many negative ones they had. That didn't sit right with me, so I decided to get a second quote. I already had a good idea of what was wrong with my car based on past experience. When I called this shop, the difference was immediate. They were professional, respectful, and didn't argue with me or try to upsell me on unnecessary repairs. I specifically looked for negative reviews--and there were none. I dropped my car off early that morning, and they gave me a clear time estimate for when it would be ready. They even sent photos of the issue. While I didn't fully understand what I was looking at, the fact that they were transparent enough to share images--knowing I could easily research them--told me everything I needed to know about their honesty. I don't remember the technician's name, but they took great care of my foreign car, Lexi, and I'm beyond relieved not to be driving around with grinding rotors anymore. I truly appreciate their professionalism and the way they treated me as a customer. Every single mother needs a mechanic she can feel safe with--and I'm so grateful I found one. When I inquired into why they hemmed and hawed until it finally came out that they broke my oil filter cap. They claimed "those break all the time." I pointed out I have gotten my car serviced many times at the dealer (2017 car) and not once have they broke it. No response. They claimed they replaced it "with a better one." So you charged me $68 for a $30 ish aluminum cap that YOU broke. I really hate when people talk to women like they don't know anything about cars. I know they were price gouging me and I don't appreciate being talked to like I was an idiot. I have grown up going to car shows and working with my dad on his classic cars and I don't appreciate this behavior. I will not be returning.
