    Worst experience ever having moved across the country multiple times. I was led to believe this was a "local" company to Kansas City and their drivers are also local so I decided to use them over the national companies. From the day that we were packing up, I saw clues that this was not going to be a good process. After getting a quote from a video walk thru and pictures sent, the packing people proceed to tell me that I've reached my packing limit when they have 90% of my contents loaded on the truck and I could pay the additional fee to get the rest onboard, or unpack all or leave the rest behind. Obviously, neither of these are an option. Get everything loaded and 4 weeks later, my contents arrive with multiple boxes crushed, dining room table completely scratched up, and the list goes on and on. These "new" delivery people proceed to tell me that because of the incline in front of my new home, it will be an additional $1500 to unload! And have the nerve to ask for a tip! Get the bleep out of here, my contents are completely mangled and you want a tip! When you get back to KC, don't eat yellow snow... there's your tip! Do not fall for this Matt person who sells you their service as I have never been able to reach this fictitious person since. They have an elaborate phone system that bounces your calls around so never speak to the same person. Once when I have called, I get a women obviously working from home with all the kids and dogs in the background! Eight months since the move and still have not received the payout on contents that we uploaded to CSI their insurance content carrier! Pay the extra money and go with Mayflower or other reputable carrier. Don't fall for the "local" lie!!!

    A quote and fixed price contract was prepared by Matt Green after I sent him pictures of the items to be moved. The pickup time was changed 3 times from before noon to 6:30-7pm . When the driver arrives, he doesn't have a pallet jack. He contacts the dispatcher Alex who calls me with an upcharge of $1,300 dollars . Alex presents me with an option of pay 1,300 dollars or have my order cancelled. He is unwilling to discuss any other option and proceeds to cancel my order. As of noon the next day, no contact has been made by Matt or any other company representative and their phone system is not working. Wheatland van lines has at best wasted my time while my house is threatened with flooding, and at worst, engaged in bait and switch behavior. DO NOT USE.

    If I could give this moving company more stars, I would! I saved their number if I ever need movers in the future. My wife and I had more items to move than we had originally realized. This made a long day for the movers but they stayed positive until the very end. My wife was amazed to see that all her favorite antique furniture that she has saved from her grandparents was handled with care. Without any pressure, they wrapped each antique dresser and detached the mirror that stood on top of the dresser before moving! They made sure to wrap the mirror twice, to avoid it breaking and placed it in a large box. And her antique bed stand that probably weighs a ton was disassembled and reassembled upon arrival. They sure saved us the nerves and headache with moving the bed furniture. And all my wife's beautiful ceramic tableware was wrapped with lots of recyclable paper and organized neatly in boxes. I am stoked to see that all my different sofas sets from the living area and my entertainment room were organized separately for my new home. Now, with my pool table and televisions in perfect condition after the move, my wife and I are ready to remodel our new home together to make it more homey and comfortable to our style. Can't wait to invite the boys over during the football season to watch the big games! The movers made a great job of placing the furniture the way I needed for my entertainment room. They picked up and dropped off all our items without any issues and on time. Fast, affordable, and reliable movers! It was a great experience overall working with you guys. Thanks.

    Great experience! Still couldn't believe the driver was able to put that thing on the driveway! Fast, efficient and very careful with valuables. Went above and beyond to protect floors and walls. I've dealt with many moving companies in the past and this one swept me off my feet lol Highly recommend!

    DO NOT USE FOR A CROSS COUNTRY MOVE! I was really impressed by their "sales" person. He was friendly, informative (I thought) and reasonably prompt about returning calls. We moved across country for a one year assignment, so our load was relatively small. It was a VERY busy spring, so I wish I had had more time to research options, but in comparing with one other carrier Wheatland came out cheaper and seemingly less complicated. Where do I start???? Once the crew arrived to pack up a small load from our home and another load from our storage unit, we started to realize that expectations did not meet reality. I was told Wheatland had their own employees from start to finish and did not contract jobs to other movers. One member of the crew (2 guys) packing up didn't know who he was working for and neither of the crew delivering knew who they were working for. The first crew actually forgot to load the headboard and footboard from the Master BR. We noticed it where they had placed it in another room leaning against a wall that couldn't be seen from the hallway- an hour or 2 after they left. They came back late that evening after unhitching the trailer and strapped it to the back of the cab between the exhaust stacks. It was strange. Our relatively small delivery came in 2 different loads- 3 days apart - 9 days after our move-in date and 11 days after our move-in date. The majority of our boxes arrived crushed and/or mangled, like they had been moved many, many times. The friends helping us unpack were appalled. We had been told beforehand not to wrap our TV because they would wrap it and provide a special box for it. However, when we unpacked our TV, it had been placed unwrapped in a wardrobe box (which had been unloaded and placed upside down in our apartment) with a vacuum cleaner and various other things. Many of our small things in multiple different boxes were damaged and appliances cracked. We've moved many times, so we know how to pack and pad boxes to bear the weight of other things, and we've never had this kind of result! It's been so busy with work and getting settled, I haven't been able to spend much time figuring out how to respond to this move- It's been a stressful experience, one that I don't enjoy re-visiting. We've discovered we are missing at least one box. I've tried to call Wheatland to pursue finding the missing box, but have gotten no call back. I don't want to file for loss through CSI, just want our things! Some of what we're missing has personal value.

    ****DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE OR COMPANY FOR ANY REASON**** I would love to give a negative rating as they don't deserve a single star in their bait-and-switch operation. They act all professional with an estimate by the Senior Relocation Manager Matt Greene, who tells you he doesn't operate on commission and that the forecast will be accurate and not way under like other moving companies. he even says we won't be the cheapest but we will be the most accurate and on target. Matt quoted me for a move from Missouri to Florida for a particular list with the exact items we showed him on a Zoom call so he could see all the items to ensure the estimate he gives is accurate. He computes the total ($8,158.52) and tells me that we can take items off the list and it will be cheaper but we have a bulk fee due to the weight of 1 item. The original list for a pickup in 2 weeks out so we decided to sell off some items. I called Matt back before the move and he revised the quote to $5,514.87 for 863 cubic feet for the 64 specific items that we had the Zoom meeting call to view. Matt stated that our items would be delivered in 5-7 days and that the movers were their professional movers who do this every day. On Sunday the weekend before we moved we received a call regarding our move date and that they needed to move it back a day and they would be there Thursday, May 30th not Wednesday the 29th as we agreed to between 10 am - 2 pm. They arrived Thursday late to the house at around 3 pm with the tractor-trailer. One of the contractors they hired was from Mayflower and then some tweaker from Craigslist that was sketchy as hell. I met with Dustin and he did a video walk through the house with me again for the stuff we are moving and told me he would get the totals for us shortly while the contractors are wrapping our furniture in pads and taping everything they could. He sent the video to his dispatcher looking for a total price after I pointed out a few discrepancies from the original list Matt had wrong and a desk we sold. Which should have saved us 56 sq ft according to Matt's estimate. Dustin told me that they couldn't load anything until the final estimated price was agreed on that would take a little while for Alex to review the footage and that they wouldn't be able to load anything as it was illegal to do so without the price being agreed to. While waiting for the dispatcher Alex to get us the new price for the videoed items I ran an errand and came back to my house being packed on the truck roughly 300ft packed and when I arrived. I asked Dustin what was going on he explained they started by accident and the price for my move was now in the range of $7,800 - $11,500. To which I said no way that's more than double what Matt had quoted us and we did add in a few wardrobe boxes but shouldn't have made up more the 56 sq ft we had over from Matt's original quote. So now they have my items on the truck delayed me a day so I can't arrange for another mover and I'm getting scammed by them. We started calling Matt but he won't answer of course and never answered again since the move date and we tried multiple times. So we had to agree to something as we had 1 day to move and they packed our house and gave us a final bill of $9,300 and left our house 9.5 hours after they arrived. Dustin will lie to your face like the rest of them and play stupid like he doesn't know what they do but he is part of the scam. I never heard from any of them on Monday -Wednesday and called Alex and texted Dustin multiple times and got the run around from Alex the dispatcher. Finally yesterday 6/6/24 I received a call from Customer support claiming that the contract I signed at 12:30 Pm was for 10-14 days and that the truck wouldn't be here until then because it's peak moving season. Never once did anyone say to us that the receiving date would change and we got absolutely SCAMMED by them. MATT GREENE, DUSTIN AND ALEX ALL ARE SCAMMER CON ARTISTS. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY NO MATTER HOW DESPERATE YOU ARE.

    So we hired this company to move our daughter down to school in Central Florida. Over 10 different places called to bid on her move and we just didn't feel very comfortable hiring someone that was coming from a long way away to move her so we settled on Wheatland Van Lines. The claimed they were based downtown Kansas city and the price was good so we hired them. The problems started 2 days before the move when a dispatcher called claiming that the sales agent messed up the route pricing and it would cost $400 more to do the move or they would have to cancel AND KEEP MY DEPOSIT!!!! At that point we couldn't say no because she had to get to school so we agreed. They ended up rasising the price $800 more for total$2600. The best part is that they still haven't shown up with her stuff and when I went to the office, it was a mail drop and the lady there never even met 1 person. They have the mail forwarded down to Florida... Stay away if you want your stuff.
