Nothing like the mostly mandated self checkout lanes at Smith with long lines waiting to use them just so you can self bag and self checkout at poorly maintained machines. Natural Grocers is a gem. So glad we at least have this option in town given the mess that Smith's has become over the last few years. I try to give my grocery business to Natural Grocers as much as possible.

And the line feeds into a fairly open area with about 10-16 spots, not lanes, where the cashiers hang out. Is there any hope that the Cordova Joes management will wake up and make the checkout experience at least tolerable? (nope i don't think so either). This person was quite the disgruntled little worker that day. They gave me some line about "not my dishes, not my sink." If you can't say anything nice, just be quiet particularly in front of customers - how about that Nicole?
