    Tesla Induction we'll
    Tom P.

OUTRAGEOUS QUOTES!!! I received an outrageous quote to repair my Tesla induction wheel , just ONE wheel, for curb rash that is minimal rash around the rim. You can nearly buy a brand new wheel for this price. I am shocked how this company get so much good reviews, unless people just don't mind spend $550 per wheel. To me it's too expensive. So I called Tesla service center in Portland, and they recommended me to go with a company in Vancouver, WA. I called them up and they will send a mobile tech out to my location to fix my wheel for $175. Tesla recommended to all their customers to this company called Wheel Kraft NW

Would give this 0 stars if I could just based off the estimate, it's that bad. When I lived in Vegas, I'd curb rash my car every now and then. The wheel repair place I'd go to would always take care of it at around $100 a wheel in just a few hours. Unfortunately, I curb rashed two of my wheels before I came back to Oregon and decided to get an estimate here. The quote is absolutely criminal. They said they needed to take off both wheels, completely strip them down and repaint them completely just for some curb rash on the edges. The whole estimate would be more than $800. I could buy brand new OEM wheels and still have a few hundred left. If your damage is minimal, you might as well learn to do it on your own as there aren't many good choices for rim repair in the Portland area.

Here is a updated picture I just forgot to post them. These are so amazing I can't believe how they turned out.

I brought in my Tesla Model Y for a rim repair. There was significant curb rash and even some parts of the rim chipped off. I contacted Shadi Yasin at Wheel Doctor and he let me know that he could take care of it and make it look just like new. He did not disappoint! Shadi did an amazing job and brought my rim back to looking brand new. Not only that, but he also got the whole job done within 24 hours. Shadi is an honest man and goes a great job!! I would recommend everyone to Wheel Doctor because of the excellent service Shadi provides. I attached photos of the before and after of my wheel for reference.

I've had many encounters with curbs since my late 2018 purchase of a very low mileage Alpine White M3. The first picture is one of 8 separate blood-curdling NSFW examples. My parking skills have improved a ton. No curbs were kissed in the last 6 months, so I contacted Mo @ Wheel Doctor in NW Portland with a request for a full refresh in Ferric Grey, and a bit more depth than the original. They took the wheels down to bare metal, powder coated, CNC machined, clear coated, and even included new ///M stickers. I'm delighted with the results, and again find myself doing the look-back as I walk away after parking my beloved bright white machine. I wish all of you the same renewal, if you're overdue for one. Just call the Wheel Doctor :)

Possibly the worst job on a wheel that I've ever seen. I had my carbon fiber wheel taken to these guys from a dealership and they totally destroyed my wheel. It is now going to cost the dealer a new wheel at 5k. Don't ever take anything to these people unless you want your item to be totally destroyed. If I could post some pictures I would show you what they did. I swear a 5yr old could do a better job.... They don't even warrant a single star, if I could go negative I would.

Like others I'd give zero stars if it were possible. I had these people do corrosion repair on 4 wheels 3 years ago. The total bill was $412, about $100 per wheel. This week I contacted them again as 2 of the wheels were again corroded. After a preliminary phone call I dropped the car off late morning for some corrosion repair on the wheels, only to find them not open except for a guy sweeping the driveway. He opened up and called the owner to find a blank work order, which I had to fill out myself in the dark as he couldn't find the light switch. I picked up the car today, same guy came out to help but didn't know where the invoice was. After awhile another person came out of the back office but he was likewise unable to find paperwork. After 20 minutes of this they called the bookkeeper, she gave them the amount and said she would email an invoice to me. The amount I was charged to do just 2 wheels was $505. Note that there is a $25 charge/wheel just to remove and reinstall the wheels from the car. There is a $30 charge/wheel just for taking the tire off the rim. Then there is a $45 charge/wheel to mount and balance. The corrosion repair portion of the project had jumped from $75/wheel to $125. I complained and they called the owner on his cell for me to talk with. His answer for what was a 250% increase in the bill was that inflation was to blame and its all the government's fault. I just hung up. If you can possibly do so, take your business elsewhere. This is flat out highway robbery.

This team is LEGIT. They make quick work of curb rash and other unfortunate wheel related incidents. Ali is a pleasure to communicate with and the work is superb. They take their jobs seriously and are extraordinarily careful with high end luxury automobiles. Highly recommended... they also powder coat too!

    No signs of curb rash!

Wheel Doctor did a fantastic job fixing a wheel on my Mercedes after I scraped it pretty bad on a curb. Cost was very fair. I don't have a before photo, but as you can see from the picture I posted, you can't see any signs of damage. I highly recommend them!

    AFTER

*** Consumer Warning*** Based on the many glowing reviews here, I took my car to The Wheel Doctor. Upon completion, my car was parked outside in heavy rain. Once dry at home I noticed extensive clearcoat issues on the newly painted wheel due to the rain and the repair was not strait or true. In fact the wheel appeared ruined. I contacted the company and was told it bring it back in a couple of weeks after it was fully cured, that they stood behind their work 100%, no problem. When I arrived, the owner told me the initial fix and quote was a "lipstick" repair and that if I wanted the wheel actually fixed it would cost an additional $100 on top of what I had already paid and would take all day. No offer for reimbursement for my time or inconvenience caused by their poor workmanship. Throughout the conversation, the owner was incredibly unprofessional, belligerent and rude. This encounter ended with him literally yelling at me. I have lost all faith in this company to complete the repair in good faith. Shockingly incompetent and downright scary, I have never dealt with such a shady operation. I am leaving this review with the hope others may learn from my mistake. I am now out the initial cost and more substantially, a new wheel which is over $500.

Instead of buying new rims I was recommended to get the rims buffed out and repainted. Thankfully I was told about this place in Vancouver. It doesn't take but an hour or so and they look brand new. Even one that I thought wasn't possible to look good again, looked brand new again. Definitely a master at his craft. 10 out of 10 would definitely go back and use again if I needed this sort of service. Not cheap for my pocketbook, but it was cheaper than buying new rims for sure.

However, the overall experience was frustrating because of the lack of attention to detail and poor customer service. The biggest problem was that they didn't paint the center caps, so the color didn't match the wheels at all. I asked multiple times if they could paint them, and every time I was told it wasn't possible because the caps are plastic and "can't go in the oven," so the color would never match. I even asked if they could provide a small sample of the color so I could get them painted somewhere else, and the response from the front desk was basically "we don't give samples, go try another place." That was disappointing and honestly unprofessional. I ended up going to another shop (Factory Wheel Outlet), and they told me it was actually very easy to match the color. They painted my center caps perfectly in just one day, and now everything matches exactly like it should have from the beginning. So while this shop fixed the bend and curb rash, they fell short on finishing the job properly and their customer service could definitely improve. Hi, I just want to clarify that I did ask about the center caps multiple times. The first time, I was told in person that since the caps are plastic and the wheels are metal, the color would never match. The second time, I called again, and then on Tuesday--after taking my car to a tire shop--they pointed out that the center caps hadn't been painted at all and still looked like factory. When I asked again at your shop, the front desk told me: "we don't give samples, go try in Bob's Paint Land." So I'm not being dishonest--I did ask more than once. I ended up taking the caps to Factory Wheel Outlet, and they were able to match the color perfectly and complete the job in one day. The result came out great and matches exactly. I was charged $300, and I have the invoice if you'd like me to provide it.

Jim means well, but I think he gets busy, and can't meet the lead-times he originally states. My daughter wanted the silver OEM wheels on her Chevy Cruze Premier repainted to a gloss black, so we brought them to FWO. The end result is exactly what we wanted, and it was a lot cheaper than trying to find the factory "Redline" wheels. The paint job is high quality, and it looks really nice. The areas for improvement include communication and lead-times. Initially we were given a completion date of 2 business days, and I told them they could take 3 if needed. When I called on the third day, they told me three rims were bent, and they needed to be straightened (for additional cost). I gave the go ahead, but I think they had our wheels confused with another project, because they never added on any other charges. The wheels & car ended up being ready for pick up on the sixth business day. As stated, the paint job is great, but the tires seemed haphazardly filled to random pressure levels, differing by a few PSI from corner to corner (that was an easy fix). They all hold air just fine, though; so no worries there. I would definitely recommend the work that Jim & FWO do, but just allow a little extra time for project completion.

I sent a deposit and stayed in communication, and although it was several days before I was able to make it over to pick them up, they were understanding & patient, and did not once make me feel worse or more stressed out about anything, even though my original plans kept falling through and being pushed back. My friends car had also developed a vibration at highway speeds which I assumed was from not being balanced. I expected professional service and a solution. Instead, I left with an even bigger problem -- now the wheel is crooked, and the car still pulls to the right. I returned to your shop and calmly explained that the problem remained. I told you that now, to keep the car straight, I have to hold the steering wheel slightly to the left, which is uncomfortable and unsafe. Instead of taking responsibility, I was told the job was "done correctly." But when I compared the numbers you set with the manufacturer's specs, the difference was obvious. You insisted the issue was in the suspension and the strut, but even if that were true, no alignment should leave the steering wheel crooked. Originally, the wheel was straight -- after your work, I ended up with two problems instead of one. To make it worse, you told me: "Let's put it on the rack again, and if everything shows green, you'll pay us again for nothing." That's not professionalism -- that's bluffing. I don't need "proof" on a screen. I need results. Instead of correcting the problem and setting the values as close as possible to the manufacturer's golden range, you behaved unpleasantly and arrogantly. My car is over ten years old, and I understand perfection isn't easy, but professionalism means both proper work and respect toward the customer. Sadly, I saw neither. The person who performed the service showed rudeness, disregard, and a complete unwillingness to listen. These qualities are unacceptable for someone entrusted with people's safety on the road. At another shop, they told me: "We can fix this." That proves the problem isn't my car -- the problem is the poor work and the attitude of the one who did it.
