It's small - very small, but perfect for just the two of us. The room was clean looking and smelled nice when we got there. There was a tv with local channels on it, a refrigerator, and a microwave. It was 10 minutes to downtown Duluth. They had firewood to use at the firepit in the back, free passes to the zoo (up to 4) which was right up the road, and bikes to use on the trails by their property. By the ice machine they also had board games that you can borrow for the night. Breakfast was simple, but good. They had some fruit, typical cereals, eggs and sausage, toast, milk and orange juice, and a waffle mix. Check out was at 11, but they didn't mind that we stuck around a little later to finish breakfast.

My husband drove up with one of our dogs from Texas to go see his mom (didn't want to inconvenience her by staying at her place). Hubby shows up, finds out they changed his room from a double to a Queen (including the additional rate charge) and they had a problem with a large dog. The rudeness from the owner was unacceptable. He told my husband "if you don't like it you don't have to fu**ing stay here". My husband drove to his mother's and I called BringFido to make sure we were not charged and to get our trip insurance refunded. The person I spoke with at BringFido called the Willard Munger Inn and got attitude as well. I applaud Bringfido, as they provided exemplary customer service. Too bad I can't say the same for the Willard Munger Inn. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

Fun bike shop just south of Bayfield town, owned by the proprietors of Howl Clothing in downtown…read moreBayfield, and Dreamcatcher Sailing. There's a bunch of interesting biking gear, mid-to-high end bicycles, bike rentals, and apparently cross country ski gear and rentals during the winter months. After passing the big (nay, huge!) "wolf" swing set outside several times on our way to-from our B&B, we felt we had to stop by to check it out. The staff was very helpful and informative, although it was a surprisingly slow Labor Day. There is also a nascent brewery opening in the same building (Adventure Brewing), but they were not yet pouring their first batches (although they should be by now). We took advantage of the short walking paths through the fields, which apparently turn into X-C ski trails once the snow piles up. We were so impressed with Bayfield and its typical annual snowfall that we are planning to return in the winter for a weekend of skiing!

The bike shop itself is super cool with lots of retail options if you're looking for bike parts or accessories. Staff members were super helpful to get my boyfriend and I size for a couple of bikes to Tooele round town. They were also very knowledgeable about bike paths in the area and direct us to a quick and easy path to downtown Bayfield. My bike kinda broke mid ride (seat) but the bf traded me so I was good lol. Definitely worth checking out! They also referred us to another shop for sea kayaking Superior so we thought that was cool to support local business!

We had an absolutely awesome experience tonight…read more We started at the Duluth Huskies stadium (Wade Stadium) and enjoyed a behind the scenes tour of the field, locker room, and grounds, we were also treated to stories about the history of the team. The general manager was our tour guide... he was one of the friendliest and knowledgeable people I've ever met! The stadium and team are rich with history, even down to the bricks they used to erect the entrance to the field. Dave was our bus driver and tour guide for the night. After the stadium tour he took us to Bent Paddle where we were able to samples some brews and enjoy the atmosphere, what a cool place! Their beers are outstanding! The 14 degrees ESB is a GABF (Great American Beer Festival) winner! I would highly recommend trying it. There's an awesome BBQ joint that will deliver to the tasting room too! We ended the night back at the stadium with a Huskies' baseball game. The won in walkoff fashion! It was a great game! We are looking foreword to another tour. I would highly recommend a tour with Duluth Experience.

Hi - This review is…read morea little late, but I am still thinking about the amazing tour I went on last summer, so I knew I had to sit down and write a review. I was in Duluth for my brother's wedding and didn't know anything about the city or the area. I was with my then-boyfriend and we knew it was a beautiful area, but wasn't sure the best way to experience it all. That is when I booked us on the Scenic North Shore Bicycle Tour. It was by far the best thing we did in Duluth (minus watching my brother get married,ha) and we were raving about it to all the weddings guests all weekend. The guys running the show were great to talk to and they clearly thought of everything. If you are traveling to Duluth and want to really have the best tour guides, book with them.
