In our family's opinion ... great, affordable family fun! This was our second year renting their electric cars. Patrick was so pleasant and helpful ...After thoroughly explaining how to lawfully and correctly operate the vehicles, he gave us a map of the Seaside area, and suggested sights of interest that we had not thought to see in the electric cars. The adults and kids all felt that this little extra attention to detail helped to make our experience so much more memorable. After we returned the cars, Patrick even allowed us to take family pictures with our grandkids on the OSU Beaver logo car (to be used for our 2015 Christmas card pictures). We will make it a planned destination to include electric car rentals from Wheel Fun Rentals on our future annual family trips with our adult kids and grandkids to Seaside. Aweful! We had fun obviously because the rentals we were using were fun(but they didn't design or manufacture those so my review is on the rental business itself. We had a large group, spent $100. We didn't use them for hardly a half hour and we paid for an hour. One of our rentals we were told we couldn't use by an employee. So we switched for another (different and cheaper rental). After our fun we were told we would get a refund for the $5 different. However, the main guy was rude and acted incompetent. He said "generally" like fifteen times as if he was a robot. "Generally we don't give refunds" like wtf does that mean?! We overpaid and it was $5...such an insignificant amount. Is poor customer service being shared by your paying customers on sights like these worth a lousy $5.00 to you? read more

Horrible experience. It's a rip off! The bikes were very hard to ride, they must be rusty or something. Someone accused us of stealing because we had traded in a bike that didn't work on the sand, which was supposed to. Left us with a bad feeling. Asked for a refund and they wouldn't give it to me. My family and I went to try to ride the pedal boats in Seaside. Upon arrival we were told we had to step on a scale to make sure we weren't over the weight limit. The first three members of my group stepped on the scale and after she said, "yup, you're good." When it was time for our last member of the group to step on the scale the group member said, "You Know what I don't think I want to do this anymore." The woman working there pressured her into stepping on the scale then proceeded to say "I'm sorry, but you guys are over the weight limit," with a snotty look on her face. She said this to that particular member of the group. She also suggested that the last member of the group stay behind from renting the boats, despite the fact this was an activity we all wanted to do. These comments and attitude shift were extremely hurtful, singling her out and shaming a 17 year old for her weight. This policy of weighing in on a scale made her extremely upset. This policy is demeaning, embarrassing, and emotionally damaging to people, particularly those who are already self conscience. I recognize the woman was just doing her job and enforcing the policy of weighing in on a scale, but the company should not have such toxic, shamefully policies in place. The company should be ashamed of doing this to people. They should rethink this policy of forcing people to step on scale to check their weight and until they do, I will not be spending a dime towards anything this company has to offer. There are plenty of other fun inclusive ways/activities to do when visiting Seaside that don't shame people for their bodies. read more

We were a large group of 8 people ranging in age from 3 years old up to adult. We relied on the staff to help us decide which of the boats were the best for us...paddle boat (which costs more) or bicycle. Four people in our group were advised to use a paddle boat and the rest of us were put in bicycles. We paid for the whole group in one transaction. When it came time for the four people to board the paddle boat, the staff person told them that the 5 year old would need to sit completely away from his parent. That wasn't acceptable so they put them in a bicycle, instead. So, off we went and had a very nice time on the water. The problem came when we got back to the dock and were advised by a staff member that we should get a refund for the difference in price between the paddle boat we didn't use and the bicycle. When we asked the man in charge for a refund he told us that they "generally" don't do refunds. I wasn't quite sure what "generally" meant. I explained that we had no way of knowing (when we paid) that the paddle boat wasn't going to work because the small child would be separated from his parent. He repeated that they "generally" don't give refunds. I tried again by saying "but you were able to rent the paddle boat to someone else" and he said again "we don't generally give refunds." Because people were waiting to rent boats and I didn't want to hold them up and I felt it was fruitless at that point to continue the discussion, I just quit. They lost our business now and any time in the future. read more
