My two little daughters and I had such a good experience. We rented a 3 seater and biked 15 miles one weekend. It was wonderful. The staff skips the tip screen, which is the first time I've seen anyone do that. It is indicative of their character. You may have to be patient or ask the mini golf people to call the man- but it's the beach. Enjoy it.

So helpful and knowledgeable. Super close to a beautiful paved trail along the beach. Riding their Lectric E bikes was a huge highlight of my trip. We turned around and ordered our own when we got home.

I didn't actually get to rent because they were closing early for the day, but Jim was so friendly and helpful and sent me to the other bike rental place up the street. Hopefully next time I'm in town I can come back and rent from Jim! read more

They let us borrow their bike pump for our own electric bikes wheels! We didn't rent with them this time but we have in the past and they have always been friendly and don't charge an absurd amount nor do they charge you if you're a couple minutes late returning a bike. Thank you again for helping out our flat tire situation! read more

This was my first time using an e-bike, and the friendly, gracious staff here gave me great advice and safety tips. I rode the Discovery Trail to NorthHead lighthouse and back on a beautiful fall day. Had one minor issue, but called the shop and got speedy assistance. Great staff, great gear. Fantastic people, fun ride. We rented 3 bikes and the dog trailer. Bikes ran perfect. The instructions were great & saved me a couple of times. I had never used an e-bike before and would have made some crash-worthy errors if we had not been warned in advance. Just a note - no one in town will rent you a bike for the beach. Off-sand riding only. However, there is a great ride out to the lighthouse. read more

First time on an e bike but it was a blast. Only one guy working but he took his time with us and explained how to operate the bike. We took the lighthouse trail and it was very scenic and peaceful. Definitely recommend Beachin Rides A+. read more

Matt provided such an exceptional service, we are honestly returning to Long Beach just to rent bikes from him! Matt thoroughly showed us the different bike options and worked with us to find the best fit, including options for our two kids. The ride along the beach was phenomenal! So beautiful and serene. We loved the experience here so much we came back again two days later. Six of us rented ebikes on Saturday and Monday of Memorial Day weekend. Jerrick (sp?) helped us both times. He was patient and friendly as he answered all of our questions and made sure we each had a bike we were comfortable with. We rode along the beach trail to the lighthouse and had a blast. Will definitely be back here the next time we come to Long Beach! read more

They are open based on the tides - which is clearly important! So that was great to read on their FB page. Each day changes with time - due to the tide, so be aware and plan accordingly. We went on a Thursday, hoping to avoid major crowds - while it was very crowded in the town we arrived at opening time and were able to get in and out very quickly. We arrived at the store, my son went ahead while I parked. There is a public parking directly across from the store which is an amazing find - just be sure you get there early enough to get a spot. I was concerned it would be a long line with the new COVID restrictions and 1 person at a time in the store. However they were very fast and very efficient. They provided simple but precise instruction, clear in their communication on how to use the bikes and explaining everything to look out for on the beach. Ensured my taller son had a bike that fit him - it did and it was perfect. I had a beach bag that I wanted to take but there is no place to put it, they offered a back pack which was a huge help and bonus - talk about customer service support. The back pack saved me as was easy to place on my front so I had provisions for the kiddos. We rented the recumbent beach bikes, you have to carry them to the beach but it's super easy. Just follow their instructions. It will take a few minutes to get a handle on how to move your body with the bike - there is no hand steering, it's all through you body which is a great core workout :-) I think it's a fantastic experience for the young and old. The bikes we had were well oiled in and good functioning order, we had no issues with the bikes although my younger child was tired before we made it to the end of Cannon Beach so it took a while getting back. If you are taking it to enjoy the tide pools it's an easy there and back. My 11 year old got tired a bit earlier than my older son and I. They do have kids carrier attachments which is awesome if kiddos are younger. But I think if you make it an easy ride, an enthusiastic younger child could manage the beach bike a short distance. I'd plan for extra reinforcements like cool drinks and something to sustain a 1 1/2 to 2 hour ride and adventure on the beach. Since it was a good sunny day - sunscreen and hats are best. Prices were completely reasonable and totally worth it - ours was $20 for 90 minutes with some grace period to get to and from the beach. They were excellent all around. I'd highly recommend this and we will absolutely do this again.

It was my first time on a bike in 15 years, and I had a blast!! Beachin Bike Rentals made my experience from beginning to end the best, and we will not hesitate to rent from them again. They have very nice and well maintained bikes. I used a bike for a single rider, but they have options to accommodate parents with small children and three wheel bikes too. Their customer service was great with a brief training on their e-bike use and safety tips. Their location is easy access to a fantastic trail that can take you all the way to a light house. Plenty of rest stops and picturesque views along the way. I can't say enough great things about our experience or these guys.
