They were so helpful and patient and kind while I felt like I was full of chaotic energy trying to help get everything ready. It was a breath of fresh air to have them both show up with such great energy and it helped me feel less stressed, too! We tried the Murray location thrift shop next. It's smaller than the DI. I'd the say they are overall pickier about the quality of the items they offer to the public than the DI. The prices are what you'd expect from a thrift store. Overall it was a good experience. More furniture related items than you typically see at the DI too with a smaller selection of clothes. But everything in the store was in decent shape. It's well organized. The lines move slowly. That might be its only drawback. I highly recommend this place.

I always seem to get a cart- though they suck and have terrible wheels they get the job done…read more I have mixed experiences when I'm here- I've been 4 times alone and once with my two younger daughters- we stay together because there can be a crowd at times. We don't re sale, we come looking for things we need and can use or wear. We have gotten a few books that weren't trashed and aren't old library returns, we have found several outfits and a bunch of shoes we like. My favorites have been my REEF sandals that weren't trashed- even brand new. They try to put rubber bands around the shoes but stupid people pull them apart and toss them so it's hard to locate the other one sometimes which sucks. We have found several newer baby items like a seat cover for a car seat, a shopping cart cover for my granddaughter- I wear yard working gloves because the bottom of the bins tends to have broken pieces like sharp glass or sometimes needles eek- also we have found used diapers and soiled underwear... yuck! The smaller baby and infant clothing is hit or miss- some are adorable and others have a lot of stains. Always check jacket zippers and buttons- pants as well- we have gotten home excited and washed things only to realize they are missing those things or zippers don't work. There are people that hoard a bunch of stuff and park all the carts full of their crap on the edges and cover them with blankets... I personally don't think this should be allowed, others would like carts esp coming with smaller children! I have had to bring my own large Costco bag. I purchased a nice soft sleeping bag in great condition and when the gal was whipping it around on the scale snagged it and by the time I got home I have a four inch slice down the soft bag & stuffing coming out! I had to buy a patch repair kit... not a lot of care at the register. When new bins come out you'd think it was 2020 and people were fighting for the last toilet paper on earth- shoving and pushing etc- GROW UP! It's used clothing ffs.... It's ridiculous to act like that- we just wait til they're done acting like morons then stroll over and still find some awesome stuff- my girls love Squishmallows and if you don't mind filthy ones you can grab them for cheap- then we sanitize the hell out of them when you get home. I love the shoes when I can actually find a matching set! LOL I even got a nice leather pair of platforms I'm wearing to my daughter's wedding. Just needed a buff and polish. Fun to go to but iffy area with a lot of homeless all over begging and living in tents nearby. That scared my young girls who haven't seen that before, I turned it into being a great lesson on why not to use drugs.... Besides the area and creepy location, we have had some great scores and other times left with nothing but a headache & bottle of sanitizer. Cool if you're looking for a thrift shop cheaper than DI and a little more fun picking through things and finding some cool prizes.... It's worth a shot if you want to see it- I'd go during the day- evening is when a lot of creepers are out in the area :/ Also they have locked bathrooms but will unlock them for you- nice if you have kids!! At the Goodwill Outlet, we will circle around the large bins of miscellanea-clothing of all sorts and sizes, books, household items-all mixed together for the thrill of the hunt. We don't go here looking for something specific, but rather let the treasures make themselves known. It can take a bit of looking, but if we're lucky we will find something great. Periodically, the staff brings out new bins. At that time, the old ones will be rolled away and the hoards of people who are standing by eagerly will pounce on the new bins when they are declared available. It's fun, it's wild and it's unpredictable. Clothing is paid by the pound, and you can score some pretty good deals. Happy hunting!
