There is not a single thing on this menu that isn't just delicious, it's mind-blowingly delicious…read more My husband and I like to joke that there's a Utah 5 stars and then there's a California 5 Stars. This place is a California 5 F*CKING STARS. Flavors are intense, authentic, and out of this world. They have plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options, their portions are HEFTY and the service is top notch. Last time we visited we were served by Izzy, who is a hoot and a half and provided stellar service. Thanks for the awesome time Izzy! We'll be back to try your new cocktails soon. :)

There was plenty of seating! We sat at the bar, our server was great and attentive. They have restaurant favorites and drink specials posted on the signs. For drinks my friend got the Blueberry Lav French 75 and I got the Huckleberry Mule. Our drinks were great! I've also tried the Grid City Bubble Works canned drinks before and I'd highly recommend those as well! We ordered the Pork Potstickers, Marinated Cucumbers, and Dan Dan Noodles as was recommended by our server. The pork potstickers were super dense and the wrapper was tough, unlike most other potstickers I've had. The marinated cucumbers had a great texture, but were very salty. Our favorite were the Dan Dan Noodles. The sauce was flavorful and seasoned well. The only issue was how difficult it was to eat the huge pieces of bok choy. Overall, I'd definitely come back here for drinks and the dan dan noodles, but the other items did not live up to how I thought they'd be.

Trivia: Pappy is special because of its wheat and extended aging process and limited selection…read more What is Pappy? At Whiskey Street, I had two issues: I ordered a salad and it never arrived. My wagyu steak came out and I was irritated that the salad hadn't come first. But then the salad didn't come at all. Bummer. And the steak was questions all around. First they didn't know what cut of steak it was. "It's Wagyu" they said, as if all that mattered was where it came from. And just to make sure I wasn't an idiot, I looked up to make sure that Wagyu, like other beef, had various cuts. And the meal was rather salty. And the steak was far closer to rare than medium. And it was served au poivre style, which I would have like to have known. Service was excellent. The Scottish Old-Fashioned excellent. The libation selection is unparalleled. The bar seats have a weird spring to backing so it's more like sitting on a stool with a slight back brace.

My first thought in walking in was yay! It has such great personality, even a bartender with a handle mustache! Quite on a mid Saturday afternoon. We started brunch with drinks - Irish coffee for my friend which was enjoyable and a hot toddy for me which was quite citrusy. Next came our Benedicts. No betrayal here (sorry I know, cheesy!). What makes a good Benedict is the sauce and this one didn't disappoint. Usually I ask that the sauce be on the side but this time I forgot and trust me, that was ok. One of the best I've had that even made a great compliment to the very tasty potatoes. Don't worry, the potatoes were great on their own! Nice touch of flavor, soft inside and crisp outside. Perfect amount - barely too much that made up for two meals!
