Upon approaching the building it is relatively clear of trash or hazards. You walk up, view the menu and place your order electronically. Once it is ready you go back to pick it up. The employee was nice and ordering was a breeze. The wait time was not long at all and the food was tasty. Not really fond of the ketchup being placed on top of the fries. A bit unsanitary to be honest. The facility was relatively clean and well lit. There is seating within. I don't much care for placing my own orders as I personally feel this is lacking on the businesses part and takes away jobs. read more

Get prepared for a rather normal review with little action. I arrived around 7:40 p.m. and Which Wich closes at 8 p.m. Needless to say, the staff was rightfully gearing down for the evening but made my sandwiches without complaint. It took a while (what felt like 10 minutes) to make the sandwich, but I'm going to make the reasonable assumption that they had already plastic wrapped some of their ingredients for the night and that it took more work to make the sandwich. I build my own Wich and my husband ordered the Ultimate BLT. We both ate our 10'' sandwiches entirely, which says something about our level of hunger or the quality of the sandwich. I was personally a tad disappointed because I wrote "extra pickles" and did not feel like there were extra in my sandwich-- if there were, we need to have a talk. I was also a bit astounded that our two sandwiches cost $23 and would have preferred to eat at a different fast casual restaurant with table-side service for the same price but oh well. Overall, I would get another sandwich here. I'll probably be back for their Wicked Wich Wednesday deal (a $5 signature Wicked sandwich with Turkey, ham, roast beef, pepperoni, bacon, your choice of three cheeses and additional toppings). read more

Forgot to take a pic but let me tell you about Which Wich delivery secret. As a first time orderer, I thought I was ordering a sandwich but I ended up ordering a bowlwich. Which is all of the ingredients in the sandwich sans bread. So when it arrived, I was a bit dumbfounded but made it work. I went ahead and just toasted my own bread and took Cali Club salad bowl + guacamole and Mayo side condiments, and made my own Sandwich. And you know what, it was great. And I was actually able to make 3 sandwiches out of the bowlwich. So I may do this in the future! Silver lining!!! Oh also the strawberry shake and fries were delicious! read more

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat, but unfortunately after my last experience, I will never be going back. In Spring of 2022, Which Wich came out with a crypto box promotion that included a coin with an initial value of $10, and the promotion specifically promised in the terms and conditions that the coin's price will follow the value of Bitcoin. The promotion period lasted two years, and the week leading up to the deadline, I returned to Which Wich ready to spend my coin which had increased in value. When I tried to purchase food using the coin, the employees were confused and had no idea what the coin was. They had to make several phone calls to their managers asking if they had ever heard of the crypto box promotion. Finally one of their managers answered and told us that Which Wich had "changed systems" over the years, and were not able to honor the promotion they had been advertising. They could only allow us to get one free sandwich, which was far less than the total value of the coin, and defeats the entire purpose of the promotion. I was told I could mail in my coin to their headquarters and try to receive cash, but the promotion would have ended before it would arrive in the mail. After accepting the loss and taking the free sandwich, I asked for a water cup, to which the employee told me their soda/water machine was broken and they were unable to give me water. While grabbing some napkins, I decided to test the soda machine out of curiosity, and the machine worked perfectly. When the employee realized they were caught lying, they kicked me out of the restaurant in frustration. I have never experienced this level of poor service and dishonesty in my life. read more

Over time, Which wich has become another one of my top lunch spots when I have a busy day and didn't pack a lunch. And let me tell you...It's worth the wait to get your sandwich toasted! I typically order the Turkeywich (turkey + coleslaw), Italian Grinder (add avocado), or the Roast Beef on wheat bread depending on what I am in the mood for. I also recommend the house chips (seasoned with salt and pepper), and the Oreo shake (add banana). You can't go wrong! There are some things in this world that will tempt a person strongly, their response telling you something deep and intrinsic to their character. For example, finding a wallet on the ground with an ID as well as $500 cash. Or 2-for-1 lap dance time at Woody's. Or pressing that big red button that you know you shouldn't. The list goes on, but I believe as a species we are fairly weak-willed, like an untrained dog balancing a treat on its snout. My greatest lunchtime temptation is to check off every goddamn circle on the Which Wich bag. Having just got back from Triple Punch Tuesday, I count 16 check marks on my bag. Sixteen. Let that sink in a little. There were at least 30 more options that I didn't check. Yikes. If you don't have a strong will, don't go to Which Wich. What will happen is that you will check off so many circles that you will end up with a soggy, hulking mass of food that will be more stew than sandwich. I made this mistake the first time - then I said three Hail Marys, swore to amend my life, and learned to show some restraint when dressing a sandwich. If you know how to say "NO" to yourself, go to Which Wich. If not, go to Jimmy John's and hang out with all of the other folks who chose lettuce, tomato, and mayo as a way of keeping themselves on the straight and righteous path. read more

My favorite sandwich place on campus! The name of the game is consistency. I've eaten here over a dozen times and every time the food quality is solid. My favorite is the Grinder, toasted. Food is great, staff is consistently courteous and their ice comes out in these little balls (which for some reason really makes me happy). The downside is the wait and the space. The restaurant is simply too small. There are maybe 8 tables in the restaurant and only two of them seat 4 people, so if you are looking to grab a meal with friends you may be standing a while. Also, because each sub is individually made and toasted you will need to wait a few minutes to get your sub. Its definitely not as fast as Subway or Jimmy Johns but I think its well worth the wait. read more

I've never had a bad experience here. The sandwiches are delicious. They cost a few bucks more than what you'd get at Subway, but taste SO much better. Expect to wait a while when they're busy--not because of the line--but mostly because it takes a bit to make the sandwich and they're in kind of a small space, meaning they can't have many employees working at the same time without getting in each other's way. Winter hours posted in the door state open til 8:30pm. It is now 7:40pm and they were already closed. Caught the staff as they were leaving and they wined that there hadn't been any business for 3 hours. They state they had the managers approval. I'd suggest to the owners that they hire new management that understands that your business will continue to drop when you dont stick to set hours and instead sets a more upstanding business example by staying open regardless. read more

I'll be honest, I kind of love this place. You pick a paper bag with your food options stamped on it, mark your order with a Sharpie and hand it to the cashier, and after 5-10 minutes you get a toasted sub in the bag. The real appeal is the variety of options -- probably 40-50 basic sandwiches, and at least 30 different toppings and condiments to choose from. Some are quirky, like Spam and meatloaf, but all the basics are covered, too. There's nothing very innovative going on here culinarily, and most of my sandwiches taste about the same because I put the same combination of condiments on them, but I've liked what I've had (mostly shrimp po'boys, though I've also had the Thank You Turkey and one of the breakfast sandwiches). On my list to try are the Elviswich (PB and banana -- but I have to stop putting caramelized onions on everything first!) and the Caprese. One could eat healthily here, though it's definitely not compulsory, and the price is right either way ($4-8), so I'm adding a star for the value. In addition to soda and chips (in-house made and bagged), there are cookies and shakes, which are competent though not exciting. The eat-in space can get really crowded at peak times (though I've never not gotten a seat eventually), so during the spring and summer it's a good thing to grab and take elsewhere downtown. read more

We stopped in Iowa city for lunch as we were driving along I-80. Campus is only 5 minutes off the interstate so we figured we could get a a more interesting meal than the usual interstate fare. Which Wich Sandwiches did not disappoint. The ordering process is fun since you check off exactly what you what right on your sandwich bag before handing it to the cashier. The taste and quality of the bread, meat, and cheese is similar to Potbelly's but there are more condiment options which I appreciated. I enjoyed a "skinny my wich" (less bread, fewer calories) white bread sandwich with Turkey, provolone, caramelized onions, avocado, spinach, bell peppers, dried cranberries, and candied walnuts. It was delish! I was really happy with the selection and freshness of the sandwich toppings and condiments. We also enjoyed an amazing Rice Krispie treat! Some really bizarre things happened the night we stopped in for sandwiches. The first being that it was the play-off game for the Super Bowl, and while I'm not a football fan, I am a Denver Bronco fan, so I was interested. The TV is hung so high above the kitchen area that the screen looks like a photograph negative and is so distorted you don't even want to look at it. All they need to do is tip it downward so that you can see it. Totally useless unless you're ten feet tall. It was also exceedingly loud. The other issues were that they gave my sandwich (after a rather long wait) to someone else. She apparently liked it and was eating it, even though it was not at all what she ordered, so I had ANOTHER long wait for them to remake it. I ordered a lettuce wrap reuben sandwich, which turned out to be 90 percent iceberg lettuce (or what we call "polyester lettuce" at our house). We were in a hurry to get back on the road by then, so I ate in the car. It being dark, it was difficult to get to the sandwich itself without accidentally eating the paper as well, which was so tightly wrapped around and around the sandwich that it was difficult to unwrap. I guess they felt they had to keep all of that lettuce together somehow! The meat was not fresh, nor tasty, kind of reminded me of freeze dried dog food. Needless to say, most of it went in the trash. Yuck! read more

Love this new sandwich shop! I realize it's a chain, but it's unique. My favorite thing is the customization; you choose everything from size, bread, toppings (tons of options), toasted, etc. all marked on a brown paper bag your sandwich is then put into once made. They have a punch card in which for each sandwich purchased you get one punch on the card; get to 10 and your sandwich is free! This is a really good deal if you go there on Tuesdays for "triple punch Tuesdays" to get three punches instead of one. You have a free sandwich in just three visits! There are other specials each day but that's the best deal. They offer chips and cookies as sides and your basic choice of soda and tea. My favorite sandwich is the turkey with cole slaw. I am not a fan of cole slaw in general but it really is awesome - just the right amount of crunch and sweetness without being overbearing. I always ask for an extra side of it and they never charge me. ;-) You get a decent amount of meat for a little over $5 and the sandwiches taste way better than Subway! The gyro was not very good, but go to a gyro joint for that kind of sandwich anyway, or a cart on the ped mall. The beef is also pretty good. They also offer salads and shakes, which I have not tried yet. The wait can be a little long, but that's to be expected in a college down in the downtown location at Noonish, and the staff behind the counter work really fast and hard! The manager/owner (?) is always there, and cleans the tables, is very friendly, and seems to care about the store. read more

Pretty good sandwich shop with some creative varations (SPAM anyone?) I ordered the Thank You Turkey which came with cranberry and stuffing. The stuffing was so unnoticable I thought at first they hadn't added any. It's more like a few bread crumbs than anything like Stouffers.... The best part about the meal was the cookie which was free since we went on a Friday! They send the cookie along with the sandwich through the toaster so it comes out warm and slightly crispy. The oatmeal raisin cookie has a wonderful amount of nutmeg that really added demension to the cookie which was the best I've had in a while. I would try another sandwich here to see if other combinations tasted better. I recommend this as a healthier option for a quick dinner or lunch. read more
