As a business owner for many years I am very disappointed in the practices at Pure Barre. During my first month I was sick several days. When my first month ended all the left over sessions were removed from my account. I assumed, (yes I know the adage) that the sessions were removed from my account due to me scheduling and cancelling my classes, even though I tried to cancel within the 4 hour window I was told about. In December the facility cancelled several classes. Primarily the 8:30 class I used. Also, during December there was family illnesses that required my full attention, and I only scheduled one class and missed it. In addition to removing a session from my account I was charged an additional $15.00. I could live with that, not that I liked it. However when my month ended, not at month end, my sessions were once again deleted. Obviously I missed the memo of this practice. This made my decision to cancel my membership, which I obviously still paid for in January. May I suggest that you make sure that in the future you provide written rules to new members. I never received anything written about any of these policies. Enjoy a Blessed Day!

Pricey, but it's always challenging and I am always evolving in my practice. The instructors genuinely want you to grow and become stronger mentally and physically. The workouts are fine. But this chain has some of the worst policies for members I've ever…read moreencountered. For example, if you pay for unlimited classes, sign up in advance (like the studio asks you to do) and then have a life event happen less than two hours before your scheduled class (say you get a flat tire, you have to work late on a project, someone gets sick - normal things that happen to people who don't have lives that revolve around Pure Barre), the studio feels ENTITLED TO MORE of your money. That's right. They'll take an extra $15 from your bank account or your credit card. Clearly they only care about making money. Look elsewhere for a fair-minded workout. There are plenty of other options here in the city. Give your money to people who don't look for every opportunity to cheat you out of it.

It isn't, but all barre studios are a little different, and I've come to really enjoy the classes at Neighborhood Barre! I've tried several of their classes - Barre HIIT is my favorite right now because I feel the effects of the workout for days! It's a good workout. The instructors are really great, helpful, nice. The music played is really fun and helps me focus on the workout. Some classes are more full than others, but it's not jam packed of people. They offer a trial two weeks for $29 - and I highly recommend you check that out if you're interested in barre or NB in particular. You can also sign up for drop in classes on the Mindbody app (which I love). There's ample parking in the area even if the area can be kind of a pain to drive around (I always regret not leaving 10 minutes before I think I should if the class I'm aiming to get to is between 4 and 6, because I will inevitably hit every red light on Franklin Road for the whole drive). All in all, it's a really good studio. The classes are all different, so check them out until you find the one you love!

The owner Suzanne has created a really special place. All of the instructors have their own style and the classes are never boring or repetitive.
