Visited 8/12/2023 Wow First visit to Whiskey River Steakhouse & Saloon Fantastic place to get a good meal. We love the hours and the friendly service. Small menu but packed with fresh made dishes. Sadly asked but didn't deliver the MediumRare burger we requested more like Medium Well Done. Everything else was Amazing. I Recommend The Stuffed Bacon Jalapeños. Fresh and Nice flavor. Onion Rings we're nicely done. The Star for me was The Porterhouse Pork Chop. Excellent and as were the Sautéed Mushrooms. Salads were fresh and crispy and the salad dressings tasted like homemade. Very refreshing. All in all a very nice restaurant. Can't wait to come back next time to enjoy more of the menu. read more

I give facts. This is not meant to slam anyone. Went in with a large party. Approximately 20 people. We were assigned one server. This already was not a great idea. No matter how nice someone is, as a server, you can't handle 20 orders. This is why most restaurants have 1 server per 8 people. And that's being generous. From the time we sat down and ordered to the time we received our entree was 1 hour and 39 minutes. Food was not hot. My wife's ribeye came out warm towards being cold. That is now how steak should be served. To make matters worse, they completely forgot my entree, told me it was being made, and when I finally received it after the 2 hour mark, it was the incorrect entree. Regardless, I still left the waitress a tip because she was trying. But you can't expect exceptional service when a person is trying to handle 20 people. Maybe the size of the party was the issue. Maybe it was staffing. Lack of communication is the main culprit. Had we even been told that there was a delay, etc etc, that would have helped. We weren't. Instead cold food and missing entrees for 2 people is what happened. I can whole heartedly say I don't recommend large parties. Maybe as a small party, the experience will be better. I'll never know because I have no intention of ever going back. read more

If I could give this place double the stars I would food, service and overall experience was AMAZING. Came in hungry around 8:30 pm (group of 10) & we were seated right away on a Sunday night Labor Day weekend . Our waitress Abby and honestly the entire staff there were super welcoming and freaking awesome !!!! Thanks to everyone for making our late dinner such beautiful memorable night! Decided to head out for dinner to get away from the junk food we brought. Lol Slow night on a Wednesday, but the food, drink and service were spot on. Had the filet mignon and it came prepared exactly as I requested with a dash of garlic butter on top. Excellent and my "compliments to the chef". Loaded baked potato, salad with homemade blue cheese and hot rolls with a garlic butter. Wife had an infused lemon drop and I stuck with a traditional Modelo. Breakfast -----THE BEST BISCUITS AND GRAVY EVER!!!!! I mean I literally had 1 bite of someone's a couple weeks back and have been salivating for an order of my own .. I finally did just that and it was EVERYTHING my mouth longed for haha... simply the best I heard the chef is JEFF I give you kuddos!! DINNER ---- had the filet mignon it was cooked PERFECTLY!!!! A very well deserved 5 stars, Whiskey River has finally brought a decent dining establishment to Parker! Upon entry you are greeted by friendly staff with a smile, and immediately seated with a drink in front of you in no-time. Throughout your entire stay you feel like you're the only one there as the staff are very attentive even while filled with other patrons. The appetizers were excellent as well as the entrees. Has the intimate steakhouse feel with western decor. **The Southwest Eggrolls were excellent, Jalapenos poppers weren't too spicy and the Hanger Steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. We have called and left several messages regarding our horrible service..we waited 30 minutes for our order to be taken. 30 min for our drinks to be served and I had to go and look for our waitress. Racial comments by the waitress saying she was behind because of the Mexicans. When I asked for our check nobody even asked why we were leaving. I asked for the manager and was told they were busy. There were 10 of us. If I was losing out on a $1000.00 sale I would try to make my customers happy. Nobody cared. Very sad! It would be nice to get a message returned. Had dinner here on a weekend that was pretty crowded in Parker. We had a reservation and that made a big difference as many people were waiting to be seated and we were seated right away. Our server took our drink order immediately and then our dinner order when she brought the drinks to the table. Salads and bread came out quickly but we waited a long time for the entrees. The food was very fresh and really tasty! Because we waited so long our server offered us a free dessert for our patience. Carrot cake!! The food was disgusting. We didn't even eat it. The dinner menu has barely anything on it. You can't order burgers, sandwiches, or almost anything after 5pm. Unless you want a dry chewy steak. We had issues with rude staff last time we were here. Our entire large party all agreed we will never walk back in here. It has gone way downhill since the earlier days when it was Strokes. The food itself would have been average but not this night. My twice baked potato came out barely warm and took a half an hour for a replacement. Which my then I didn't want. I guess I was lucky as my husband's rice pilaf was very cold. Not even room temp. Our server who was new was overall embarrassed at the food. She was kind and sweet so no issues there re service. My HUGE issue was the manager or owner and two young waitstaff gossiping at the bar, swearing and speaking very loudly. When we sent our items back she replies (again at the bar speaking loudly). 5 stars for the food without question. Every single thing we got was amazing besides a terrible margarita. 3 stars for the wait time for the food to come out. Several of us got our plates and the rest of us had to wait quite a while, so the food was not served anywhere close to the same time. As had been stated previously, food was quite delicious. Filet Mignon cooked perfectly and delicious. Potato was great, Southwest Egg rolls were delicious and something new as the soup was Shepherds Pie Soup, also great. Side dinner salad was pretty meh, not particularly fresh. Chicken strips delicious. Will waited on us and it was just him in the entire place on a Sunday night. He was busy and explained the kitchen was backed up. All in all for Parker, it wasn't terrible. Others have complained about the noise inside and it can be noisy. Food taste is totally on point and value is there I feel. What a great find. Thank you Yelp! As we were traveling through we decided to give it a try. Brandy, the manager was a great hostess. Recommended the hanger steak. Absolutely phenomenal!! The jalapeno poppers ordered did not come out of a box! These were homemade and the best! The drinks were great pours. Nothing negative to say about this place except we can't make it during open hours on our trip back through Parker. This is definitely on the list every time we're in or through Parker. Absolutely Delicious! Hats off to the kitchen staff 10/10. We visit Parker at least 3 times a year and have eaten at several places, this place blows others out the water on taste, portions, and variety. The service was great, we were a party of 10 on a holiday weekend 2 hrs prior to closing. We were seated quickly, and our waitress Abby attended to us right away. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating even with all our questions, joking and indecisiveness. They even took a picture of our group for us because we were so excited to be eating good. I have been here several times now as I have a winter home right down the road. So glad to have a place to go to that serves QUALITY food. The house salad is super fresh with shaved parm cheese. The filet mignon was delicious and perfectly cooked, had it with a baked potato (been forever since I have a BP) and it was big and delicious with all the fixings. Great margaritas too!
