It's just an inexpensive street Mexican restaurant in the heart of Little Havana. it has a good menu but it's not much for decor or service. I started of with their pork, Chicharrones, and the some Pastor Tacoa , Good but nothing special.

    Margarita cheers!

Didn't spend much time and want to go back for more! Food was solid, great happy hour and maybe the best skinny margaritas I've had in the state. Friendly and fun time in Little Havana I'll see you again Whiskeylucan!!

I was only in Miami for a day and hopped on the hop-on hop-off bus tour, which led me straight to Little Havana and into Whiskylucan. Let me just say--chips and guac were on point and that spicy martini? EVERYTHING. They even offer a free drink with appetizers, which is honestly such a smart way to pull you in because once you're there, you're staying! Great apps, strong drinks, good vibes--you can't go wrong. It was so good, we ended up coming back later at 4pm for happy hour. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.

We made a reservation at 9:15pm for 7 people. Once arriving we were asked if we wanted a seat in the back or the front and we just said wherever was warmer so we sat in the front of the restaurant near the open windows and bar. Our server did not speak much English which was fine because she spoke enough to get by and still provided great service. Everything was taken down on a handheld device and kept track of with each of our names which was nice. We ordered two Mexican mojitos that came with a cute souvenir mini sombrero on top and a jumbo margarita that 4 of us shared. Our table also got a complimentary basket of chicharrones which were great. For food, we ordered a quesadilla, quesabirria tacos, and asada tacos. We were given two sauces at the table: one green and one red. Our table probably used the entire green bottle on our food because it was so good. It was sour and thick which is something I love. Not spicy at all. It went great on the asada tacos. All of the food tasted amazing. We each paid our own bills and it was easy since everything was ordered attached to each of our names. At some point during our meal, the mariachi arrived and began playing for us which was very entertaining. Overall, the experience went smoothly and the food was very good. We had a fun time! I am still dreaming about those asada tacos with the green sauce.

The three star average on Yelp sounds about right, if maybe a bit generous. After passing by many times when driving in Calle Ocho, I stopped by for an early dinner after my jog. I found the place half empty, with maybe 2 or 3 other tables taken including one by a vendor selling arts & crafts in the restaurant. Foodwise, I liked that their chips are more like chicharrones. They serve them with a red sauce and a green sauce but no fresh pico de gallo. Four small cheese tequenos were decent, although not a classic Mexican restaurant dish. My burrito - although not on the menu - was really good, perfectly messy and they customized it with no guacamole. However, being deliciously messy means it fell apart on the plate. I almost had to channel Saul the barbershop client in "Coming to America" because I had to ask for and wait for utensils. There were none already at the table. Of course, there is an 18% automatic gratuity as well as the prompt asking for more while the server stands in front as you pay.

This place isn't bad, but it definitely "could've been better". While in Miami, my cousin and I were looking for a spot to watch football in Little Havana. We came across Whiskylucan. On the surface, they have TV and they did have the Dolphins game on. But music was just too loud. The service was fairly slow. And the atmosphere just wasn't comfortable to the point that you'd want to hang out for a couple of hours to watch a game. The plan was to eat, drink, and watch football. Instead we ended up leaving after one drink. Again, certainly not the worst spot. But there are a few minor things they could do to make it much more inviting. I'd start with just turning the volume down a little so you don't have to speak so loudly.

chicken tamales great not spicy at all

During live performances, one waitress would get up on stage and play instruments and at other times bartenders would join in. I was truly smiling from ear to ear all night. I drank delicious mojitos all night and even with a packed venue the drinks came out extremely fast! Although the restaurant was packed, our waitress remained extremely kind and attentive throughout the night. To me, the food was just good. We had the Jamón Serrano Croquetas to start. They were a little cold for my taste and not the best I've ever had but they weren't bad. My husband really loved his skirt steak ropa vieja and didn't leave a single grain of rice. I opted for the rabo encendido pasta. I like that they weren't skimpy on the rabo. The downside of this place is that to maximize space, you're packed in like sardines. The tables are basically on top of each other. A larger sized person would not fit getting in and out of their seat and my husband was constantly backing up into the people seated behind him. Overall, this is a place you definitely visit for the atmosphere above food. I will 100% be coming back for drinks, appetizers and more live music. It is an incredible spot especially for those looking for Cuban nostalgia.

The speakeasy atmosphere is outstanding--walking through the iconic red phone booth feels like stepping into another era, only with much better bourbon. Victoria was an absolute rockstar. She took some fantastic photos of our group (which is no small feat after a couple of perfectly made Manhattans), anticipated everything we needed, and somehow managed to make us feel like regulars on our first visit. Speaking of Manhattans... they're exactly the way we like them: balanced, boozy, and dangerously easy to order "just one more." Pair that with a great cigar, comfortable seating, and an atmosphere that somehow feels both upscale and relaxed, and you've got one of the best spots in Miami to unwind. We came for a drink. We stayed for the cigars. We left wondering if we should install a red phone booth at home. We'll definitely be back--and hopefully Victoria will still be there to remind us that "one more Manhattan" is always a questionable life decision.

Out of control for what likely cost the restaurant $3 in booze. We then wanted to grab something to eat. There were at least 5 nice booths available and we grabbed one. We were then told we had to move. Despite the open and more comfortable places to eat, we were placed at a tiny, round, 3' high wooden table that could barely fit food for two. We ordered an appetizer and a cuban sandwich. The sandwich was small, dry, and lacked flavor. They never returned to even ask if we wanted water. Very disappointing. I used to go to the club in my college years. After the hotel was sold, the club moved to the Rocky Horror venue in Coconut Grove. In 1999 after that closed too, the club became a roaming pop up at different South Florida venues. Which is how I came to be at Bar Nancy in Little Havana on a Saturday night. They host a monthly Kitchen Club night. Almost everything was closed in Little Havana by the time I arrived so it was surprisingly easy to find metered street parking only two blocks away. Bar Nancy did not have a cover charge which was nice. The bar is decorated like a pirate ship with many nautical touches. It is named for the brigantine Nancy, which transported war supplies during the American Revolution. The room the bar is located in was small, dark, hot, and crowded. Many people enjoyed themselves on the dance floor in front of the DJ. They also have a backyard area that was popular. My favorite room was the one between the two. It was decorated like the Captains quarters with a couch and comfortable chairs. I could still enjoy the music and more importantly, the air conditioning. During the night I had a delicious Amaretto Sour. Despite the dive bar surroundings, it was a hefty $15.
