We're on vacation in the Coco Walk area and was looking for something quick to eat. We tried this place because it was right around the corner. The service was great, the young lady was really friendly and attentive. The food was tasty, the Mahi tacos was delicious. I had the chips and salsa. The salsa was definitely made and not from a bottle. It was roasted salsa, very delicious . I wish the chips were warm, but they weren't . My husband had the chicken fajitas and he enjoyed it. Chicken was really tender and plentiful. Prices are great also.

Wanted to check out to see if it is like the one in Cocoa Beach but it wasn't. Not too lively. Server was good enough but no personality. Food was very good.

For Sports Grill, I really enjoyed myself. I ordered a Funky Buddha Floridian and Philly Phanatics w/ Tater Tots. The Philly was bigger and tastier than I expected it to be. I can never go wrong with a Floridian. Outdoor was perfect. On their patio people watching was perfect. People are very entertaining. My server was sweet. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about her. For an appetizer I ordered chips with salsa, pico de gallo and guac. While the dips were delicious the chips tasted a bit stale. That wouldn't stop me from revisiting the place.

Came int to try their tacos Tuesday special. $2.50 Tacos all good for bar food. Good amount of filling. You can choose from 6 types of meats. Pulled pork & mahi-mahi. Our waitress was awesome! Friendly, kind, talkative, well groomed. Loves her style! Made conversation with us too. It was appreciated. They have outside seating but we stayed inside. They have YB's everywhere and provide good amount of seating. Nice and clean. Staff looks like they all get along and are friendly with eachother & customers. We will be back again.

This is a fun place! It's loud and the crowd is wild, but isn't that what you want on game night? The prices are great for CocoWalk. For example, fresh fish Catch of the Day and a Salad (or any other side) was $17. The nachos were loaded. I'll just get that next time. See my pictures for nacho prep from start to finish. The plate weighed over 5lbs. What I loved most were all the TVs showing the game. They're everywhere!

I absolutely love spending my Tuesdays here at the Sandbar. They have an amazing taco special and this is the place to get fully packed tacos. They are served on flour tortillas and packed with a ton of cheese with the protein of your choice. They have everything from shrimp, mahi-mahi, chicken, Carne Asada, and a vegetarian option as well. Hands-down the best part of coming here is when we get our server Christie. She is always smiling and a very efficient waitress. Very personable and really makes the trip more than worth it. This place is a great, local spot in Coconut Grove that has two entrances and plays typical sports bar hits from the past. highly recommend!

My local sports bar, I live three blocks away so I'm always stopping by. I love that they're dog friendly! They have tasty food options, and the drinks aren't watered down. I've been coming here since 2003 and it will continue to do so, check down out!

This is a great college hangout. I learned how to play beer pong here a few years back. That being said, it's not really my cup of tea, or should I saw mug of beer. It's too loud and it's hard to order or talk to friends. The food is pretty decent though, and there's a nice front porch area. You have to find street parking, although anywhere in the Grove has the same. Service is pretty good, too.

I went on a Saturday to watch a game and it was so packed full of students, very young crowd. There were no tables available inside and couldn't walk inside without bumping into someone. I ended up getting a table outside and it was very hot. There fan was broken, so yeah it was a sweaty night. I ordered the guacamole chips and to my surprise it was pretty good. Our waitress was very nice although very busy. The place is old. I guess it's ok to go watch a game and grab a beer with a couple of friends. But I wasn't a big fan.

My friend and I waited near the hostess stand for a bit and felt overlooked as everyone was understandably focused on the situation. A simple "hello, welcome, we'll be right with you" would have gone a long way. Having worked in hospitality for many years, I know things happen behind the scenes, but guest communication is so important. After a short wait, the manager stepped in, apologized, and got us seated, which I really appreciated. From that point on, the service was excellent. Everyone was attentive and helpful, and I especially want to shout out the food runner, who was personable and made a great impression. One thing that could have been handled better: our server took our drink order but never mentioned happy hour. When we later asked for the menu, we were told it was only available at the bar. Since I use a wheelchair for mobility, getting onto a bar stool would have been difficult, so I felt that a more accessible accommodation should have been offered. You'll see in my video I was the 4 top right next to the bar. That said, the food was good, and I still had a nice time with my friend. With just a little more attention to communication and accessibility, this could have been an even better experience.

The restaurant sits next to the Coconut Grove marina, and is accessible by land or sea. The atmosphere always feels like you're on a Caribbean vacation. Our server was Iria and she was friendly, knowledgeable on the menu and perfectly attendant. She wasn't hovering over us but checked on us enough where we were perfectly taken care of. We started with an order of the peel & eat shrimp. This is seasoned with old bay and it was delicious; only complaint is they weren't cleaned very well, several of them were cut open but the "vein" was still very present. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, probably should give 3 but the rest really made up for it. For the main courses my bf had the seafood pasta which he said was good, although the sauce was a bit plain (he described it as having a ragu flavor). I had the Baja tacos at his suggestion and boy was it a good recommendation. It comes with 3 tacos and they are packed with fish. They were absolutely delicious. The tacos also come with a small side of elote which had a strong citrus flavor, absolutely delicious. All in all, I don't know why we don't come here more often but we will. I realized that I had not actually been to this location since it was The Playwright (or whatever it was called) 4 or 5 years ago. The updated interior is nice - very "pubby" - and they offer a good variety of seating from bar seats to high-tops to couches. Two things here that were standouts: First, the burger is one of the best burgers I've had on South Beach. So much so that I'm craving it again this morning. They've done a good job with the menu in that it still has all those bar foods that you look for in a place like this, but they've put some thought into elevating a number of items (e.g. the short rib poutine!) Second, the service was great. Our server (sorry, can't remember his name - a nice guy from Kendall) was very friendly and provided excellent service. As many reviews mention, this is definitely a place to watch a game. While we weren't there for this purpose last night, the TV setup is great and I could def see myself camping out there with a few beers on a weekend afternoon.
