Even though I am Disabled I should of even known better, I even use to take care of horses but its been 25yrs. I don't know why I Even loaded my truck full what a Mistake. I was at least taking the Dry, but come am it was a Nasty mess, I couldn't even use it Nor could I give it away. I was also Picking up for 2 friends and they passed hard. All it is that Nichole offers the owner is Old Hot Very Hot and Gassy SHIT Poo its not in no way Manure and its not even maintained so it would turn into Manure its probably 3months old of Nasty I wouldn't doubt if it has zoonotic diseases I did notice but didn't know until after its Anaerobic Nasty.. i SAW THE REVIEW FROM CE ON1/31/2023 and although her horse did not find a happy home at WHispering Creek, most of the review is poppycock. I have been at the ranch since 2004, originally in pastures and as my horses' teeth aged, now is stalls with outside runs. This place is great! Even when times have been tough, the feed has always been excellent and generous. And responsive to horses' needs. The recent hay price increases were absorbed by management for a time and only recently passed on to the boarders. The place is on a PG&E property and surrounded by open space and gorgeous homes. I know they will do whatever is needed to protect that place from Fire, and our horses will be protected, also. SOmeone complained about the train. WHy? as someone mentioned, it helps the horses get used to the sounds. Better trail horses in the long run. And trains rarely or never come by any more. WHich I think is too bad. Having trail access to Rancho San Antonio park is fantastic. Great experience for the horses. One way is over hill and dale, and the other way is mostly flat. The park is great for horses as there are interesting feature both steep and flat. The other thing is WHispering Creek is ideally situated for trailering off to anywhere. And the training available is great.Pam Vichez starts horses and trains riders with such insite and kindness. And she trains in all fields and SAFE equipment. (i am riding her 6 1/2 year old Arab in a bit, bitless and hackamore). Rich Wong, is a a great dressage instructor and since he has turned the management over to the new management is so much less stressed. An excellent beginning and advanced teacher. He cares deeply for the horses' wellbeing. Robin I runs a great kids program and is a great addition to the instructor list. She also starts novice adults, who rave about the experience. Her summer program has kids smiling all the time. Managing a stable is always stressful. The manager has done wonders for the place, expanding turnout places, fixing fences, and communicating clearly to the boarders. CE dunned her for calling winter, abscess season. WHy? the mud the horses (and owners) endure is hard on hooves. The manager has communicated ways to reduce the risk of abscess for all of us. The friends there are wonderful to know and ride with. This is a great place for a relaxing horse human partnership. read more

I have boarded here for 10 years and enjoyed the access to great trails, two round pens, turnouts and a lovely dressage arena. There are paddocks and pastures. There are trainers and kids lessons available and the instructors are great. The hay is quality. The owner is aware of issues happening with individual horses and will work with owners to help the horse if needed. This place has a wonderful safe community and everyone looks out for each other and the horses. I am very happy here and have no plans to leave! M.T. I have been boarding my horse here for over a year and my 19 year old horse has never been so healthy and happy. Wonderful trails and plenty of turnouts, The new owner has brought TLC to this barn by cleaning it up, adding new turn outs, with wonderful footings for the arena and the round pens. And she is continually making sure we have good quality hay and that our horses are safe!! And it is a family feeling among the boarders here with having barbecues and music when the weather permits. We support each other during the tough times. It is pretty awesome! And another very important perk is because it is on PGE property, the barn is gated and locked with 24/7 security which is critical especially during fire seasons. I highly recommend this barn as a wonderful home for your horses. read more

I boarded my horse there for 7 awful months. Terrible feed. When a horse wont eat it - its BAD feed. ZERO maintenance. Super dangerous pastures with lousy fencing. Horses get out a lot. Horses are constantly getting injured or colicing at this "hell for horses." Weird owner/manager. She refers to Winter as "abscess season." With zero upkeep a lot of horses get abscesses. So painful and sad! She sends bizarre rambling, often nonsensical, texts almost every night to entire GroupMe used for "emergencies only" that boarders must be a part of. As my friend who helped me move out said: "Wow - this is like a homeless encampment.. but for horses" Yep- that sums it up. read more

place is great, nice intructors if you want to take lessons but if you want to keep your horse there you got to look out for the manager. she is super not kind and is rude to the other people. She is used to getting her way. today I was going to lunge my horse and was in a rush to go so I asked her how long she would be and she became super rude. she starting yelling at us saying that we got to wait and she was the owner of the barn and could do what she wants. she kept on getting mad and wasting my time even though we were in a rush and wanted to go as quick as possible. she is used to no one asking how long she'll be and now I know why. keep an eye out to her read more

In our two years at Whispering Creek our four horses have been cared for better than any other place we have boarded! Nicole (the barn owner) looks after all the horses as if they were her own. She has been so amazing and helpful in the process of helping our senior horse who has several health issues and was very upset with our move to settle in and find the right living situation for him at the barn. The hay that Nicole provides is very high quality and actually the best I have ever seen at boarding facilities and horses are fed very generously, all four of my horses are doing great on it! Another aspect of boarding at Whispering Creek is the wonderful community environment which is hard to find at barns, everyone here is friendly, welcoming, caring and helpful. We are making some wonderful friends here and we are so thankful for Everardo who feeds and cares for our horses daily with the utmost care. He knows each individual horse's personality and truly cares about each and every one of them. We have a peace of mind with our horses here that we have not had anywhere else that we have boarded them. There are plenty of turn outs, two round pens, two arenas and the trail riding access is a huge bonus. Our horses are very happy at Whispering Creek. read more

My husband and I did a beginner adult horse riding lesson to celebrate our anniversary. Robin was really great and communicative and the horses were so lovely and friendly. It's clear they are well cared for. I was very nervous about riding on a horse but Robin made me feel comfortable I ended up having a great time. Who is running this place now? If it is Rick, run for cover. Someone new who is not so scary ? Might help or not. The place sustains horses for those who come every day to care for them, nothing more. Very nice folks, loved them, but no legitimate business opportunities whatsoever. Location is good, but again zero business options - total lack of facilities or support to improve them. For instance the "arena" is not fenced. I do not know of an insurance company that will insure for lessons or training given in an unfenced arena. It's also literally in the middle of a PG&E sub-station, so not very picturesque to say the least. A train also runs through the property (feeding the quarry up the road). So with the land being controlled by PG&E, and without a deal with them, I do not see much business future. Boarders: the horses seemed happy. Rancho San Antonio is accessible from the property if you have the time to get to it... In other words, you have to ride to the ride. If Richard Hong is gone, and you are just looking to board a horse (and you know what you are doing), it might be worth looking at. Just do not set your expectations too high. read more

Good access to trails. Is located by a PG&E plant and a train goes by the stables/pastures. Some people have listed this as a downside but I have found this to be a bonus. My horse is getting used to all sorts of strange noises, train whistles and orange PG&E flags flapping in the wind. It's really helping to bomb proof her. Not much spooks her now. Stalls are not nicely painted and picture perfect but they are safe. The horses get fed well and the people are nice. Not fancy but safe and has good trainer available. read more

Paddock stall facilities are good for an "affordable" facility and trails are FABULOUS. This is an affordable place where they do feed what they say they will feed. My rating reflects other issues which are possibly resolved by now, and the fact that a train runs through the property which is gated up in an unavoidably cumbersome way. There is no requirement to take training of any kind. This is not a great facility for jumping but there are ways to make it work by trailering out. Haven't been there recently. However, with so many people scrambling for a place to put their horse in this area, I believe this place is worth a look. read more

My horse has been there since about 2003. Now I have two. Both my horses are in pastures. One is a grass hay only pasture. This is a life saver for my gelding. My mare gets grass one feeding and grass alfalfa the next. And the feed is generous, no matter how high or low the ranch horse population is. There are a variety of stall and paddock arrangements there also. Many have tack rooms attached. Some people use shared tack accommodations. Some have brought in small tack structures of their own. The place is so well situated for traveling out by horse trailer to the entire Bay Area. Situated in Cupertino, near 280 and 85, anyplace is accessible. It has riding access to Rancho San Antonio Park - a local gem. And is surrounded by nice homes - a good protection against fire when the Summers get so dry. This is a relaxed, friendly place. A mix of natural friendly instructors teaching basics to children thru serious dressage to teens and adults. The boarders there have changed identities over the years but remain friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. read more

I only wish I was able to give this place less than one star. While the trails are fantastic, and the paddocks are decent, I wouldn't dare to put your horse in the pastures. The fences are asking for an injury and are poorly designed, not to mention the facility itself is surrounding a power plant and has a live railroad running through it, with a train that yields to nothing or anyone. But my main complaint is the barn manager, Richard Hong. Never in my entire life have I met such an inappropriate and rude person. While I can't go into full detail, my first tour of the place concluded in him making out of line comments about my appearance. It then proceeded with him texting me asking me to let him know when I would be at the ranch so he could also be there, regardless of the time of day. (I'm a minor). Then when he heard I was considering relocating my horse, he completely flipped out and harassed me. I left before the starting date of the boarding contract and he then refused to refund me for the three months of board, even though the contact date concerning the money had not yet begun. While I have numerous things to add, the last will be about the safety of my horse. When I first arrived he was slightly underweight. Without asking or any sort of warning, Richard stuck his hand into my horse's mouth like a self nominated vet and uncomfortably tried to assess my horse's well being- one that I was already well aware of. Over the next few days I stayed there I also had several boarders enter my horse's paddock and also proceed to assess him, including looking into his mouth and at his teeth.
