We have had multiple horses at this location. New ownership is amazing! The ranch manager is also so nice and resourceful. We also have Quick and easy access to riding trails at Rancho San Antonio.

    This place is a joke

What a joke of a ranch. This guy knows nothing about horses. The website has close to nothing on it. Asked for photos of the ranch and available stalls and the clown said "take care"... if you want to waste your time and drive to a ranch that is ashamed of posting photos and you want to deal with someone who knows jack shit about horses, let me know how that goes.

Very nice people. The owner not only takes great of the horses but actually truly loves horses.

There are plenty of turn outs, two round pens, two arenas and the trail riding access is a huge bonus.

What more can be said about Garrod Farms that hasn't already been felt by so many? For countless…read moreriders, this is the place where we first sat on a horse, felt the excitement of riding, and created memories that will last a lifetime. Garrod Farms is more than a barn--it is a place filled with joy, friendship, and an unmistakable sense of community. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the positive energy that surrounds the property. It truly feels like a place from a dream. One of my greatest fears is the thought of this special place ever disappearing, because it has become home to so many families, riders, and horse lovers. The Garrod family deserves tremendous recognition for everything they do. This is a true family-owned and operated business, built through hard work, dedication, and genuine passion. There is always someone on the property working on improvements, maintaining the grounds, or finding ways to make the experience even better for everyone. The amount of effort required to care for such a large facility is extraordinary, and their commitment never goes unnoticed. The farm offers some of the best arena footing in the area, beautiful indoor and outdoor arenas, and direct access to miles of scenic trails where riders can relax and enjoy time with their horses. It is a safe and welcoming environment that has been serving children, families, and equestrians for generations. Their horseback riding lessons, whether private or group, are exceptional and suitable for riders of all experience levels. They also offer some of the best vaulting lessons in the area, giving students a unique opportunity to develop balance, confidence, athleticism, and horsemanship in a fun and supportive environment. The horse camps are among the best around, and the only complaint anyone seems to have is that they fill up too quickly. The local horse shows provide riders with valuable opportunities and motivation, while the boarding program offers quality care at a reasonable price. Special events for boarders create an even stronger sense of community and make being part of Garrod Farms feel truly special. Beyond the horses, the winery adds another layer of charm. Great music, beautiful scenery, and wonderful people make it a place where memories are created and shared. There is always a sense of warmth and happiness in the air. Garrod Farms is more than a facility--it is home. It is a place where friendships are formed, confidence is built, and dreams begin. God bless Jan, Vicky, Cory, and the entire Garrod family for everything they do. Their dedication has touched the lives of so many people, and their contributions to the community deserve recognition and support every single day.

I was easily able to book a private guided ride with just the two of us and an expert rider. Our guide was so nice and equipped us with everything we needed to have a safe, but fun trip. You can tell the horses are very well taken care of and loved by the staff at the stables. The tour itself had beautiful views overseeing Los Gatos. It was a reasonably priced experience and absolutely worth it!

I feel so grateful to have found Page Mill Pastures. This is a place for people who are in love…read morewith their horses and see them often. Not a fancy show type barn, but there are people here who show at all kinds of disciplines. I have only met friendly, down to earth folks so far. The manager, Giselle, is one of the best pasture managers I have ever worked with. She is classy, calm, accessible, responsive, personable, knowledgeable, and kind, and keeps a watchful eye on every horse housed here. She cut me a great deal when I first showed up with four horses, having ridden 2000 miles in 6 states over the past 15 months. I loved it so much, I decided to stay, and she quickly made it possible to make that happen as well. The pastures are huge (hundreds of acres), with easy going, well fed, and happy horses galore. The best value I've found in the Palo Alto area. Picnic tables and a laid back atmosphere make me really feel at home and welcome. Lots of wonderful trails to ride on the property, but also adjacent trails to explore. There are also riding arenas and round pens and quite a few stalls with runs if you prefer. I was given a key to a large tack shed to share with one other person. There are a bunch of these - and look like the horse version of the sunset district. Cute! Trailer parking is available in a locked area off Arastadero Road at no extra charge. Two minute drive from the pastures. Nice wash areas, and plenty of places to tie and tack. I haven't found a place to plug in my clippers though - and was told by somebody that her daughter brings a generator to operate her clippers. A small drawback I guess, but I have the feeling I just haven't found the outlet yet... The mares and geldings are separated, and that works for me, although a bit inconvenient since my horses are not together. But totally understandable. There are trainers to work with on the premises, although I haven't met them yet. It is a rare gem of a friendly, horse loving place. I highly recommend it.

She's patient, yet pays attention to details and makes sure the students are safe. Robin used to be at Portola Farms but is now at Page Mill Pastures.
