For example, I had lots of knee pain and Kim Kish suggested testing my calcium level - and found I was very low. We added a calcium supplement and I got results quickly and my pain is gone! Wow, I had gone to a bone dr for the severe knee pain (I was limping) and he did tests, suggested couple rest for several weeks and then told me I needed to take an anti-inflammatory on a regular basis and I would probably still have pain at times and would need to watch my exercise, take it easy and ice my knee when in pain. Way better to take calcium and no anti-inflammatory! Honestly, I have gone back to regular exercise and pain never stops me now. Thanks, Kim Kish! I have also seen Dr. Rohde and can tell you he really listens to you - and he treats the whole person, not just one symptom. I finally got my husband to change to him and one the first visit Kim told him how to help lower his blood sugar by watching white potatoes, white bread and white rice. He's nowhere near deabetes but he listened to her and is taking her advice. His previous dr never told him anything like that. Another example that Dr. Rohde and his staff listen to the patient. And on top of all this, I never sit in the outer office or the exam room for an extended amount of time - usually in and out within 45 minutes. Will never leave Dr. Rohde and Kim Kish!

At other dental clinics, you only need to pay less than $200 out of pocket, and $179 of that is a once-a-year fee that won't be charged again for your next visit. She warned me that they require payment upfront and then submit the bill to Delta Dental for reimbursement. When I arrived for my appointment, I confirmed this information again with the front desk and my hygienist. A simple check-up with no problems or peculiarities cost me $300!! Delta Dental couldn't cover more than half because of Anderson's exorbitant rate! A Delta Dental representative told me she'd never seen anyone charge so much. It took five weeks of back and forth with a rude Anderson Dental administrative worker, who kept interrupting me, telling me to stop talking, and spouting nonsense about the importance of communication and recognizing that these processes take time (FIVE WEEKS!? Just admit that you forgot or were trying to wait me out) to receive payment from Anderson Dental after they'd acknowledge that they had misled me. These people are scammers and their workers should be embarrassed that they stoop to trying to steal from graduate students. Never going back.

I did not have a good time at this place. From the moment I walked in the door, the staff were…read moretrying to squeeze every last dollar out of me. At the start of my appointment, a technician persistently brought up Lasik surgery, despite my disinterest. When I said "No, thank you," the receptionist gave a speech about how Lasik is actually cheaper than buying contacts. Interesting take. She also told me that it's a "one-and-done" fix, and thus, much more economically efficient than contacts. I have never once in my life been harassed like this, nor recommended Lasik. Clearly Chittick has some contract with an off-facility surgery site. My recommendation: make that a little less obvious. Next, I attempted to buy contacts through them. Big mistake. Chittick charged me almost double what my old optometrist charged me. At first I thought it was an insurance issue, but then I pulled up the contacts price with NO insurance, and was baffled. Chittick inflates their contacts prices by at least 200%. You are better off ordering your contacts through 1800-contacts or a different site, as Chittick would like to squeeze many extra dollars out of your pocket. This practice is especially hurtful for graduate students. I am making only 2k/month over the summer, and with rent taking about 50% of my paycheck, I do not have time for Chittick's games. If you visit this place, I am sorry. Best of luck.
