I keep returning to Whispers from Lady Olga because of their bra selection and professional fittings. The drive from Eastern CT can be an hour and a half each way yet, having a correctly fitted bra is worth the travel time. Whispers has a great selection of bras for those who require a larger/fuller cup size beyond D and DD.Also, I always find the staff, especially the owner, to be very friendly and knowledgeable. I hadn't visited since at least 2018, so seeing the enlarged shop was a treat for me yesterday. The shop is always tidy with many beautiful clothing items, jewelry, and accessories arranged around the shop. I wish I had time to browse yesterday. Unfortunately, I was on a mission with time constraints. When I walked in I was greeted by Fran who was at the front counter. She immediately asked how I was and if I was in the shop for a fitting. Since I was there to be fitted, she led me to a fitting rooms which consists of a mirror, chair, bar for hangers, and a curtain closure. In this little room, I took off my top so Fran could get proper measurements of my bust. Measurements completed, Fran began bringing in a series of bras to try on with her assisting to close the back and ensure proper fit. In less than 30 minutes I had selected four bras (one of which is being ordered as the color wasn't in stock), had completed my purchase, and was headed back to my car. The prices for what I purchased were between $60-$70 per bra. This is the price I expect to pay for a garment which will last. They definitely do last with properly care such as hand washing, laying out to dry, rotating wear, and hanging to store. read more

Lori, please practice some kindness. Some of your clients walking in have dedicated their lives putting other people first. Finally, this is the time they are able to splurge on themselves and are met with insensitive comments from you. Please do not make rude comments about the bra they wore In. We know what it looks like that's why we are there. Don't comment on our flabby, saggy skin when the curtain is open in front of other customers we can see it. Some women prefer privacy and don't want to be displayed when trying on undergarments. OMG! What a delight to discover this boutique! I was in desperate need of a bra update and really wanted to find a shop that knows the right way to do a fitting. After having my son, my body has completely changed and none of my bras or clothes fit. Because of this, I had no idea what bra size was. I only knew that the bras I currently own do not fit right and are not super comfortable. I went to Whispers for bra fitting expecting to buy one bra and and find out my bra size. I've gotten fittings before at Fashion Bug (before it closed) and Maidenform, but none were as thorough and supportive as the one I got at Whispers. The Women there were wonderful and help me pick out bras that we're comfortable, look good under my clothes, and make me feel better about myself and how I look. I went to Whispers looking for a corset to wear on my wedding day. I finally found one that fit well and that still let me breathe. I just went here for the first time on the suggestion from a friend. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Lori and the shop! They close at 5:30, but with my work schedule the earliest I could get there was 5:15, she stayed late while we found the perfect bras for me, she did not at all make me feel bad about her having to stay a bit later. I went in and specifically asked to be measured because I wanted to know what my measurements were and if I am truly a DD and the lady was rude ignored my request to be measured and proceeded to tell me I was wearing my bra wrong when I explained why she ignored it and tried to force bras on me. The unassuming and quiet tone of the store, however, was a pleasant surprise from the start (I did come on a Sunday). I went in one afternoon and asked if the store carries 28 DD, an odd size for sure, and the lady actually smirked at me. "you're a 34 B" I was actually wearing that size...I pulled the strap about 10 inches away from my body and said, "I'm wearing a 34, I need something way tighter that doesn't ride up on me all day" (not to mention I've been fitted before and have other bras in that size) and walked out.
