I usually do not bother posting negative reviews but our experience at this eatery was so dreadful that it put an entire damper on our family's first night in Cape Breton. We waited 1 1/2 hrs for our food only to be told that we would be waiting another long while. No explanation given. It was absolutely the worse service we've ever experienced. Never once have I walked out of a restaurant before the main course was even served. It was that terrible.
In addition to the ridiculous wait time for food, I had to ask our waitress and the manager repeatedly to check on our order. Neither the server nor the manager bothered to explain what was happening with our order. It would have been decent to at least tell us that we would be waiting some 2 hrs for our food order without our having to continuously enquire as to its status. We got nothing until I was following up and finally had enough and just left.
To add insult to injury, my son was given a chair that was too short for the bar stool table we were seated at. Although this eventually got resolved, I had to complain to the manager.
It's too bad as we very much enjoyed our appetizers, Caesar salad and chicken wings. Although they too arrived quite late, we were hopeful that the main course would follow quickly....it obviously did not! read more
