I have lived at Georgetown Apartments for 3 years now, and the amount of negative reviews they have…read morereceived on here is shocking. The staff has been more than kind and professional each time I have spoken to them. Maintenance is prompt and while the apartments are older, they are comfortable, safe and worth the price you pay. The last few months since moving from an apartment into one of their town homes, we have had a few issues. Including bugs and the shower not working. They have handled these issues well and have made us feel like a priority. Specifically Crystal and Josh have been more than helpful and a pleasure to deal with. So thank you Georgetown. I don't think you get enough credit for the positive things this apartment complex has to offer this community.

I've been calling for weeks about a bird that somehow is on the other side of my wall and listened to it scream for help for 4 days straight until it finally passed away. The bird is still in the wall. Each person I've spoken to at the front desk has done nothing but gaslight me when I literally on the phone let someone hear the bird crying. I have mice coming in from my kitchen and I requested an emergency order be put in to find where they are coming from. I was told that this isn't an emergency as no one is hurt. They are in my kitchen where I prepare my meals for my household and my animals. It's way too hot upstairs and way too cold on the main floors if you have a townhouse. Beautiful area in a safe convenient place but stay away.

Going to be completely honest with this one and 3 stars is a stretch. I lived here probably 4 years…read morein the 3 level townhome. I moved in with my fiancé and child, and then had another baby as I lived there. Property managers were great- nice, easy to talk to, easy to work with. Maintenance is very nice as well and quick for the most part. Upon move in I felt very deceived and lied to. I won't get into details out of respect but someone had died in the unit I moved into just a few months prior to me and my whole family moving in. I felt partially slighted not being informed as some people are religious and I feel like it would have been the morally correct thing to do as I have children. However, upon move in there we're still broken things (a kitchen cabinet, a hole in a door, a huge crack in another door) from those previous tenants and it was honestly very morbid to have to look at those things daily knowing what happened until they were replaced. (I found out details of what happened from neighbors) The quality of the apartments is absolutely horrible. For the money you pay, these places need renovating and should not be falling apart like they were. I had to put about 7 or 8 maintenance requests in for the same thing over and over. They used a cheap vinyl on my floors that were ripped upon move in and they were never fixed so I gave up. There's a HUGE problem with water leaks in the basements of the 3 level townhomes. Me and both my neighbors had the same issues. Someone came out about 4 times to fix it and it was never fixed. Thank God this happened towards the end of our time here because the whole place smelled horrible and it definitely molded the carpet. Do not keep ANYTHING in your car as break ins are very common. I have emails back and forth with management about what they'd do about that problem (cameras, if i could have a spot in front of my place to park so i could get a ring camera, etc) to which not a single thing was done. Onto the positives- this is a very animal friendly place! Highly recommend if you have animals. Neighbors are nice. Pool is huge. It's enough I renewed my lease there and it's probably at the same standard of a lot of other rentals in stl.

And the maintenance team never let the day go by without addressing one of my concerns, though I only had to reach out to them on a couple of occasions. On top of that, the unit I toured was very nice, but the one I was given seemed in even better shape.

Apartment hunters in STL have a huge task in finding a great place to live. Let me save you some…read moretime and tell you to take a hard pass on this place. Over the past three years this complex has taken a huge dive down into the level of unacceptable conditions. It appears they will just about rent to anyone just to put people in apartments without any regard for adjoining tenants. The tenants above us were so noisy it was a contributing factor to our decision to get away. It was constant noise. If you make the mistake of choosing this place you will be alarmed at the apathy coming from their office personnel. Any questions we had was a bother to them. At one time they tried everything except the right thing when we were dealing with an extremely noisy bathroom fan. Once they even bent the blades to "fix" it. They never did fix our ice maker in the whole time we were there. Security is a huge issue as we were alerted to kids kicking on doors during the night. Unattended children walking onto private patios was a problem. A gate at the back of the property was never locked allowing strangers on city streets to walk right into the complex. Dumpsters were constantly overflowing and infested with raccoons. Watch out! Don't get bit. The property managers along with the office manager and staff are completely indifferent to your concerns and appear to try to get by with the minimum amount of work. In summation, save yourself the time of going here to visit or renting here. Some reviews from other apartments seem like past tenants were just getting back at their former landlords. THIS is not one of those. It is an HONEST review of what we put up with. We never knew how could it could be now that we are in our new place. These people have it figured out here. The people at Park Forest -- don't have a clue!!
