Security was never issue for me here and I felt safe on the premises of the building. I removed a star because of a few major issues I had with my first apartment there, although management was quick to remedy them. Also, most fixtures and furnishes are good quality, however the 'wooden' floors scratched so easily I was afraid to do a lot on them. If anyone is looking for an apartment in this area I'd recommend it. The price is right, the apartments are nice, and management is the best. The apartments are in large and very high-end in regards to flooring, lighting, granite countertops with spacious rooms and balconies available! It is a very secure building with underground parking and exceptional views of the sunset and sunrise. It is literally one block from the heartbeat of the Central West End! There are monthly social events and a wonderful clientele! If you have a dog there is a bath/grooming area, coffee/tea bar and truly exceptional rooftop with hot tubs, Weber grills, 360 views and tons of space inside and out with games, TVs and more!! The information provided about the program was unclear, and I felt that the benefits and qualifications were not communicated accurately or consistently. The overall impression I received was that first responders are not valued in the way the marketing materials suggest. Potential renters who are considering Tesson Ridge because of the Hometown Hero Program should ask detailed questions and obtain all terms and conditions in writing before making a decision. I hope management takes steps to improve transparency and ensure that the program delivers what prospective residents are led to expect.

After owning 7 homes, we decided to free ourselves from those concerns and burdens. As the saying goes, "been there, done that". We chose instead to become apartment residents. Before selecting our forever home, we researched and checked out 26 apartment complexes in the St. Louis area, and found TR absolutely unique. It's beauty is remarkable, and the amenities are unsurpassed. Most importantly, unlike nearly all residential neighborhoods today, it's truly a community, where residents who choose to participate have the opportunity to come together to share friendship and an enormous range of activities and social events, supported and encouraged by personable professional management. My wife and I are people people, and we've always had many friends wherever we've lived. However, in the 2 short years we've lived at TR, we know more people than anywhere else we've ever lived, and have many many lovely friends. Over the past three years this complex has taken a huge dive down into the level of unacceptable conditions. It appears they will just about rent to anyone just to put people in apartments without any regard for adjoining tenants. The tenants above us were so noisy it was a contributing factor to our decision to get away. It was constant noise. If you make the mistake of choosing this place you will be alarmed at the apathy coming from their office personnel. Any questions we had was a bother to them. At one time they tried everything except the right thing when we were dealing with an extremely noisy bathroom fan. Once they even bent the blades to "fix" it. They never did fix our ice maker in the whole time we were there. Security is a huge issue as we were alerted to kids kicking on doors during the night. Unattended children walking onto private patios was a problem. A gate at the back of the property was never locked allowing strangers on city streets to walk right into the complex. Dumpsters were constantly overflowing and infested with raccoons. Watch out! Don't get bit. The property managers along with the office manager and staff are completely indifferent to your concerns and appear to try to get by with the minimum amount of work. In summation, save yourself the time of going here to visit or renting here. Some reviews from other apartments seem like past tenants were just getting back at their former landlords. THIS is not one of those. It is an HONEST review of what we put up with. We never knew how could it could be now that we are in our new place. These people have it figured out here. The people at Park Forest -- don't have a clue!!

My car got broken into twice in the parking lot of this building but the management wasn't very rude and didn't offer any help. They made it sound like that it can happen any where in Saint Louis , so it's not their problem. My sister sent me a gift card for my son. They received the package and when I went to pick it up, they said they lost it and were looking into it . Later I was told by the management that I should reach our to the gift card company as they are not responsible for any lost or stolen packages. People from the building will randomly drop into your apartment without even knocking at the door , calling or emailing you, no matter what you tell them. If you are single and don't care about your privacy it might be a good option but if you have family and privacy and safety is important for you, never choose this place. Coffee machine at the entrance hasn't been working 80% of my time here. I wish there was a negative review option and I will have chosen that. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I have seen some reviews that seemed iffy but honestly I think the apartment manager is great! She is super responsive and if there are any issues they are fixed immediately or within a few days! The staff here are great and for the most part the other tenets are too (only one or two are "shady" complainers)... it is super dog friendly and everyone's puppies get along... the apts are pretty sound proof from my end... I don't really hear anything... It is an old building so we have ac units vice central air but it works out fine and you can always request for more if needed... so far my wife and I love it here!!! And we have friends that want to eventually move here too! The area is great! You are walking distance to the park, zoo, science center and countless museums. There are plenty of restaurants with every type of food you could possibly want!

Find the leprechauns and redeem for gift cards). They even have a business center where residents can use desktop computers with printing or reserve a conference room. The gym also looked amazing--there's a separate fitness room where they have a virtual digital fitness trainer that you can sync your device for. Parking is also free (1 car per apartment unit). It's also walking distance from the Richmond Heights Community Center and Library!

Unfortunately, we have had many water leaks from the ceiling and the recessed lights. After yesterday's storm the "fixes" that the maintenance crew used previously have failed and the ceiling has caved. The water is now spreading in the ceiling to multiple rooms of the penthouse causing massive leaks and water build up. This is now impacting apartments below us. The maintenance crew has been unresponsive for mitigation actions. They will not cover any of the furniture or tarp the failing roof areas to mitigate further damages, after multiple requests. They have also used our beautiful china and our trash cans to catch water from the leaks. Finally, no one will speak with us about the remediation plan.
