This place does not care about cleanliness at all. first thing we noticed was ​the floor which is not carpet it's a hard floor was covered in sand meaning they probably havent swept it out in a long time. there was an empty beer can in the shower and then worst of all we went to go to bed and we lifted the comforter and on the sheets that you lay on top of were covered in sand and also it had used up piece of paper towel in Between the Sheets meaning that they never changed the sheets. so they just remake the bed so you're sleeping in sheets that somebody else laid in without being cleaned... read more

Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Parking was easy and convenient. Price was fair and everything worked. The price of this motel was cheap, like 80$ a night, so I suppose we should've know what we were getting. We got that place on booking.com, and it's rating in there was actually pretty good, like 7 or something like that, that's why we got it. The location is very good, it's like less than 5 minutes from the boardwalk. The room itself was kind of okay, but not very clean, the towels was with a lot of long black hair, we asked for another ones, but those were with hairs as well, so probably it's someone who works at laundry. The bathroom is fine, looks like recently renovated, so the shower was good. Pool was always full, and it was dirty, half clear, with some stuff floating in. This hotel checked the boxes of being dog friendly, pool and being close to everything. I prefer wildwood crest but let's be honest, every hotel In this town is a dump. This place is ran by two hard working women who are trying their best. The rooms do need tlc, the toilet and sinks have issues and the stove in ours smelled like marijuana for some reason when we used the burners. If everyone maybe stopped smoking in hotels this would be better. Our issues were mainly with the other guests. Rowdy, loud and very shady people, they also used three rooms to house 40 people and took up the entire lot, the manager had to remove their cars so we could have a parking spot. Don't come here expecting even motel 6 quality, just a landing spot for sleeping and such. read more

Despite all the bad stars i like this place surprisingly among arriving i said the manager looked familiar she said she worked all over wildwood ive been coming to wildwood since i was a child so i practically know everyone no biggy. Later i find out shes one of the ladys from hotel impossible. What?? I watch that show like every episode faithfully. N i saw that other lady manager she was arguing with outside she still works there 2 im glad they worked it out. I stay was amazing a block away from the boardwalk ,free wifi, the rooms were kinda updated i like the bathroom n cable tv. I especially love the cat guards lol i always get home sick from my cat on vacation but they made my stay better, it felt like i had cats here on my vacay. I booked this hotel years ago before June and July of 2014. Never went back to wildwood but if I do I'll be booking this place again. The room I had was the apartment style with full kitchen. The entire place was clean, it was an amazing stay for 2 nights at 160$ total. Great staff, great room. Very close to the boardwalk. read more

The location is great!! Walk right up to the boardwalk for games & a very short walk to all the rides! As soon as we walked in the room you could smell the bleach & very clean. Gave us plenty of towels each day. It is a little older of a property but perfect for a motel in wildwood. Don't stay here. The manager doesn't care about the cleanliness of the room or your complaints for that matter. Our room was pretty dirty when we arrived. Cigarette burns on the lamp shade, at least ten house flies in our room (living AND dead), strong smell of cigarette smoke and general mold and mildew, gross bathroom. Please see my pictures from this weekend attached to this review. I understand that every business is doing what they can to accommodate during these crazy times, but this was ridiculous. I barely write reviews on places, but that's how bad this experience was. Our air condition also doesn't work properly and when we asked the manager about it she responded, "yeah it's hot everywhere." As if that's not why air condition was invented in the first place. It was so hot sleeping last night we barely slept. There's seriously no air coming out of the air condition. The manager/owner's apathy towards customers is comical and worrisome. The bed didn't have a fitted sheet either for some reason, so the sheet kept coming off of the bed exposing the dirty mattress. We spent $570 to stay 3 nights and it's money wasted. Stay anywhere else, please. The smell and health risk are not worth it. read more

Stayed here for the ultimate frisbee tournament. It's a two minute walk from the pier, has nice facilities, and the staff was accommodating. When we wanted extra towels or a plunger for the toilet they were readily available. We didn't use the kitchen but we did use their plates. Wifi was pretty good as well. Overall I'd say the location and price of this place are its two greatest strengths, although everything else is pretty strong as well. Would recommend. read more

The woman at the counter was very polite and courteous. We were impressed by the full kitchen we did not expect. However, there were other issues regarding the room. We checked in and got keys for room #19. The AC was on before we walked in and It seemed to be extremely warm. We waited to see if It would cool off. It did not. We called the office and they brought up a window AC unit and placed It on our desk with trash bags u see to catch the water. We left for two hours for dinner, leaving the AC unit on so it would be cooler in the room when we got back. It was SOOOOOO HOT in our room, we called immediately and the fronts desk lady came into It our room speaking with someone on the phone about wat was going on, she claimed we had the oven on while we were gone keeping the room warm, neither of us touched the oven at all or ate ANY food in the room at that time. So she said give It a half an hour, if It don't cool off you can be refunded minus $20 and there were no other available opportunities in the area of wildwood. I am hot. Going thru menopause and WAS having a great time until It was time to re-enter our room. Which was no different then we left It. It's so hot we had to be undressed and slept under no covers. I wasn't offered any discount to offset our frustration and i will be spreading the word about my experience to ANYONE that will listen. This has been a trip from hell. By far the worst experence I've ever had at any hotel/motel. It all started when we were on our 4 hour drive to wildwood when we received a call from the hotel stating they are overbooked and will need to relocate us to their (sister property) they gave many promises that made us accept this relocation that were not full-filled (2 queen beds, sea view room, private terrace, kitchenette). Upon arriving to the property, we were told there were no queen beds, only double, the private terrace consisted of a shared hallway used to access each guest room. The sea view from the room they stated was only accessible between a hallway corridor between two buildings. When we attempted to contact the front desk, we realized they closed from 10pm-7am. How is that even possible? When we reached out to the white caps motel the following day they stated there's nothing they can do because we did not reach out the same day. No remorse or apologies extended. I would not recommend this hotel solely due to the lack of service provided in addition to the negative experience myself and I'm sure other guests have incurred. read more

Have stayed at the White Caps for years, but this year was the worst yet. The rooms have no smoke detectors, half the rooms have all the ceiling tiles pushed up (not sure what they're hiding in the ceilings), property owners appear to rent to anyone -- including underage kids running around with boxed wine bags in their hands at all hours, listened to another renter brag about the drugs he had given another gentleman. If you like to watch parents not control their kids and scream at them, or the smell of pot, this place is for you. Parking was a nightmare because they let too many people in each room. Furniture in the living room was awful, and felt wet all of the time because it's doubtful the air conditioning was working properly. I enjoyed our hotel stay. They are to the minute with check in but it was ok. We killed time on the boardwalk. The room was updated, had a fridge and microwave. The only thing I found odd was there was a coffee maker with no coffee or cups. Maybe they forgot to supply them in that room but if you need your morning coffee i'd bring some in case. This is probably the worst hotel in wildwood. Everything was outdated. I was scratching myself all night because of bugs. People were screaming outside our door. Pool had chemicals right next to it, it was also greenish and you couldn't see the bottom of the ladder. I recommend never going here and I will never waste my money here ever. This is my second time staying here- just for a quick two night getaway. When we went to check-in we found out we got a free upgrade which was nice! Parking is limited- I don't move my car once I have a spot. While not the most updated, the room was clean and useable. The best part is that the pool is clean and the motel is less than two blocks from the boardwalk! Reasonably priced for what you get in the room and the location- recommended if you plan on spending most of your time on the beach, Boardwalk, or at the pool. read more

Traveled the world being a military family. Got to N. Wildwood NJ not knowing what place to stay. Just a vacation on the last minute to get away. We are lucky to find White Caps Motel. Owner staff where great. Small little place older yes but it was clean nice well kept motel. I would definitely stay again and recommend family to visit and stay at this motel.
