The pool at the Fleur de Lis is very inviting!

This is a nice place in Wildwood. From the minute I checked in, the person at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Our room was a suite (living room, kitchen, separate bedroom) on the 2nd floor. The room was fully equipped with stovetop, microwave, full fridge. Shockingly, it was also stocked with pots/pans/dishes/utensils/dish detergent. LOVED IT. We keep odd hours and since it's still off season, not many restaurants were open late. We were able to buy some groceries for the room beforehand and we didn't have to starve. :) I would stay here again. The only reason I took a star off was for the parking. We lucked out since it was off season but we got a taste of how tight the parking spaces are during the busy warm weekend. The parking spaces are so tightly packed, you can't really get out of your car once you slide into your spot!!!! We worried about others dinging our car door and opted to park on the street a block over instead. We would come here again, off season, as the area is relaxing and the hotel faces the beach.

First time staying here. The room was nice and clean. We had a small issue when we checked in, they came right out and fixed it. Managers and staff are very friendly. Could not get any closer to the beach and I had a first floor room. We will def be returning here. They took the virus very seriously and we saw them spray each room before the cleaning crew went in to clean. The pool is not extremely large so it made it a little difficult to social distance but they have a pool person at the gate to try their best to accomodate!

We decided on a whim to spend the night in Cape May (we were already in Atlantic City), and we managed to score a discounted room through Hotelstonight.com. Our room was bright and seemingly recently renovated. I love the suite effect (bedroom and bathroom away from the sitting area). They have a nice outdoor bar on the beach, but due to the insane wind, it was closed. Tropical Storm Debby was working her whorish way up the coast of New Jersey that weekend. We left the property for dinner, but we regretted it upon our return. The hotel restaurant (Coastal Blue) is beautiful! We enjoyed a night cap at the restaurant bar while we learned a bit about the history of the hotel from the bartenders. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. And they MEAN 10:00 AM. We were getting ourselves ready to go and at 10:00 AM on the dot, housekeeping walked in. We heard them before we saw them, and we said, "We need a minute". It was a little off-putting. We even had the "do not disturb" sign on the door. We did not hear a knock. At any rate, don't expect to linger for even a minute. We were worried they would charge us for the extra 10 minutes (they didn't). I can't help but wonder if it would have been a different scenario if we booked our stay through Icona directly. Hmmm... At any rate, clean hotel with good amenities and shuttle service for local jaunts.

It feels newer and cleaner. The guest rooms are spacious and bright. Both Towers have a pool, but the Ocean Tower side has a DJ on the weekend with cabanas for rent. My sister rented one for my brother-in-law's milestone birthday and we had a blast. The pool is kid friendly and gets quite busy on the weekends. They offer a small food menu with soft drinks. You're welcome to bring your own adult beverages (which you KNOW we did)! That being said, it's pricey and they are not particularly accommodating about checking into your room early. We feel they could be a little more flexible on this front. If it's not 4:00 PM (or close to it) then you're not getting the keys. If you want to pay $50, then your room is miraculously ready (but not before noon). Checking in at 3:00 PM should not constitute a fee. Just sayin'. If you're seeking retro vibes, then this is the place for you!

Our two-room suite was quiet, and the restaurant staff were pleasant. Unfortunately, the bathroom looked grungy with a rusted toilet paper holder and poor cleaning, and the bed was uncomfortable. Both the bedroom and bathroom were tiny, and I kept hitting my leg on the bed frame when walking around. We were handed one vague sheet of information at check-in, and when my husband went back for clarification, the front desk still couldn't clearly explain the amenities. Most of the staff were unable to answer basic questions. The towel attendant stayed on her phone, and the manager seemed "put off" when asked anything. For a hotel on the high end of pricing in the area, I expected comfort and at least a touch of "luxury." Required valet parking added to the inconvenience. I would not stay here again.

They do provide in the kitchenette rooms silverware, plates, etc. it seemed that everything was dirty. May be good to eliminate some of that and provide paper if they need to or just ensure it's all clean upon arrival for next guests. Other than that, the room was clean and the hotel overall is a clean space. The pool is always spotless. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. Definitely would say they should add updates to the rooms especially on the higher floors because that's what you're paying for. They used to give out pool towels from what I remember but this past year they didn't. They always used to have volleyballs in the pool but none were available. Definitely think this resort is a great one in the crest and compared to other places I'm sure it's really up there. The dj at the pool on Tuesday was a nice surprise. Definitely think it needs updating immediately especially with the newer competition in the area. Hopeful by next summer they will have some updates. All in all would recommend especially for families!

The actual room here is great--clean, comfortable, and a perfectly fine space to stay in. However,…read morethe hotel's infrastructure and restrictive policies desperately need a modern update. Here is what needs to be fixed: The TV & Cable System: The hotel is surprisingly still using an old analog cable system instead of modern digital TV, which severely degrades the picture quality. Because of this, they don't even get standard local broadcast channels like ABC. It is a huge letdown when you want to watch a major event--like Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Monday night--and you are completely out of luck. The Wi-Fi Network: The current network list is cluttered and confusing (showing EC WiFi, EC Secure, EC Voice, etc.), and the speeds are incredibly slow at around 24.1 Mbps download. They need to simplify this into just one clear network for guests and one for staff. The Restaurant Voucher System: If you are here with a larger group, the breakfast voucher system is highly restrictive. It only covers one specific meal item (like pancakes). If you want a side of eggs or anything extra, like a side of cucumber, you have to pay out of pocket for it. The Elevators: The building has three elevators total, but only two of them are actually running, creating a regular bottleneck for guests trying to get up to their rooms. If they modernized the Wi-Fi and TV systems and fixed the third elevator, this would be a top-tier place to stay because the rooms themselves are very nice. As it stands, the outdated infrastructure holds it back.

With so many places to stay in the Wildwoods, I'll likely try other options before returning to El…read moreCoronado, which is a disappointment, since I was genuinely looking forward to staying here again after visiting years ago with my family as a kid. First, a few areas that need improvement: - Air Conditioning: We had to set the thermostat to 60°F just to get it to kick on, and even then the room never reached that temperature. While we weren't aiming for an ice box, it would be nice if the thermostat worked reliably and reflected the actual room temperature. - Pull-Out Bed: The mattress in the living room's pull-out sofa is uncomfortable, with a bar underneath that makes sleeping difficult. To be fair, this issue isn't unique to this hotel. - Patio Furniture: The plastic outdoor chairs are quite uncomfortable and could benefit from an upgrade. A quick clean between guest visits wouldn't hurt either. One of our chairs was pretty dirty or old. - Parking: This was by far our biggest frustration. We couldn't access the covered parking garage with our sports car due to a steep decline, and designated surface spots were consistently unavailable. We often had to circle side streets looking for free parking. Even when we found a spot on site, spaces were extremely tight, and we were constantly worried about dings. It was also frustrating to commonly see guests taking up two spots with no intervention from hotel staff. Now, on to the positives: - The hotel was clean enough with a nicely upgraded kitchenette (though a Keurig would be a welcome touch) and a decent shower. - Beds were fine, but the pillows could stand to be replaced. - The oceanfront views are gorgeous. - The onsite restaurant is charming and the food is quite good with friendly staff. - The pool is good and features a cute little bridge. Additionally, there's a hot tub and rentable cabanas. - The hotel provides entertainment options like movie nights and music on the pool deck and there's even an arcade game room on the second floor. All things considered, I'd rate the stay at 3.5 stars if that were an option. It just doesn't quite reach four. To be clear, I wouldn't rule out staying here again, but I'll likely consider other options.

For over 25 my fiancee and her family has been going to Wildwood I joined the crew 13 years ago. We used to stay at a different place but we got very annoyed and upset with them last summer so this year we tried out Paradise and let me say it was absolutely amazing from check in to check out. The location is perfect. Literally right on the beach. All the staff were so friendly and professional always with smiles and paying attention to details. The rooms were very very clean. The amenities provided were plentiful the beds comfortable we had 2 bathrooms which is a huge plus and our room had a amazing king sized bed. The other room had 2 full/queen beds plus there is a sofa bed if needed. Absolutely plenty of room. The rooms were always made up when we left (one of the several reasons we got annoyed with the prior hotel). There is an elevator for the upper floor and they have luggage carts so you don't have to climb stairs while lugging bags. They have a little shop in front where you can purchase such as candy, chips, beach supplies and ice (sorry no ice machine). The pool is amazing. Very refreshing after a long day at the beach. Only bad thing is no floats allowed in the pool. There are 2 sun decks. One by the pool and one on the second floor that faces the ocean. Plenty of loungers and chairs as well as umbrellas. They also have 2 BBQ grills and tables to enjoy a meal outside. Also there is a beach volleyball court. I would say the only negative things are the no floats in the pool, no ice machine and no designated parking for handicapped people (I am a disabled veteran and police officer) other than those things which were really no biggie our stay was absolutely amazing and a great time was enjoyed by our entire family. Most important, the rooms are clean. There's also an elevator so it doesn't matter which floor you're on when schlepping heavy luggage. Honestly the only knock is the 1960s outdated air conditioners which visually take up an obscene amount of space in the rooms but other than that the place is a great spot to stay for a few days in Wildwood. They have a covered first floor area for you to eat at night. In addition, a barbecue grill to make your own food. On the second-floor, there is more open area space to eat or hang out all while enjoying beachfront views. Paradise - In!
