This is a nice place in Wildwood. From the minute I checked in, the person at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Our room was a suite (living room, kitchen, separate bedroom) on the 2nd floor. The room was fully equipped with stovetop, microwave, full fridge. Shockingly, it was also stocked with pots/pans/dishes/utensils/dish detergent. LOVED IT. We keep odd hours and since it's still off season, not many restaurants were open late. We were able to buy some groceries for the room beforehand and we didn't have to starve. :) I would stay here again. The only reason I took a star off was for the parking. We lucked out since it was off season but we got a taste of how tight the parking spaces are during the busy warm weekend. The parking spaces are so tightly packed, you can't really get out of your car once you slide into your spot!!!! We worried about others dinging our car door and opted to park on the street a block over instead. We would come here again, off season, as the area is relaxing and the hotel faces the beach. read more

First time staying here. The room was nice and clean. We had a small issue when we checked in, they came right out and fixed it. Managers and staff are very friendly. Could not get any closer to the beach and I had a first floor room. We will def be returning here. They took the virus very seriously and we saw them spray each room before the cleaning crew went in to clean. The pool is not extremely large so it made it a little difficult to social distance but they have a pool person at the gate to try their best to accomodate! read more

This is a long post, but hope it helps anyone considering the Fleur. Our stay here in August '22 was our second year. We were so impressed with everything we just had to come back. Like everyone else has said, staff is very nice, from the front desk to the maids. Especially the latter, they even set my younger son's stuffies in different positions each day after making the beds, so it's become something he's fond of and wonders every day what they'll do next. They do come around very early -- by or before 9am when we're still making breakfast, hey we like to sleep in on vacation!! -- but I've never felt that they were put off by it, we just put the "service required" sign on the door, go to the beach, and it's always been very thoroughly cleaned by the time we come back for a late lunch. The room (type "E") was on the 3rd floor again as I had requested the year before, and they even moved us down closer to the shore end of the building as I'd requested this year! These rooms are very nice as you can see in the site pictures. But it's the things you wonder about, whether they are as good as you could hope -- double beds are super comfortable (memory foam it seems, with good support for my creaky back), AC/ventilation is great in both front and bed rooms (we keep the fan running as my wife and me are used to fans and the noise helps us and the boys get to and stay asleep). Bath is great, never had problems with water/temp/pressure, and even though it's a little cramped it's still fine. Plenty of towels! Clean! Nice hardware! They provide plenty of pans/pots/utensils for making basic stuff, but I suggest bringing your own metal grill spatula and tongs to save having to borrow one from the front desk each time (which they happily will do). Their grills are great. The cooktops in the rooms work great too, and the fridge is plenty big enough to hold everything we need for a week. They provide both keurig and drip coffee makers (including the paper filters), just bring your own coffee. Nice big LG TV screen with DirectTV, plenty of channels, but who needs TV when there's the most beautiful beach, wonderful salt water pool, bike rental just a couple blocks away, several restaurants nearby, and that fantastic boardwalk a few more blocks away. The MonsterCone ice cream truck always visits the block each night, best (and reasonably priced!) ice cream you'll find other than Kore Bros on the boardwalk. For breakfast or lunch, the Tangiers across the street is really good. The Crusader next door is also decent. I love Mexican/tex-mex, so several short blocks away is Bandanas, HIGHLY recommended. For frou-frou food, I hear Alosi's at the Pan American a couple blocks up is nice (but expensive). The Do-Wop breakfast/lunch joint is also within walking distance, not to be confused with the Do-Wop restaurant on the boardwalk (which is really good btw). So, now for the ONLY thing I've had an "issue" with when staying at the Fleur the past two years mid-August: there is a group of families who've rented out several first floor rooms, and they seem to stay at the hotel all day in the pool area, drinking and having "fun", but they just take it over. And several of them set up and play cornhole on the sidewalk right next to the parking where our car was, drinking the whole day long... I changed from second week of August last year to third week this year, and they were still there anyway.... The mid-sized pool (which includes a cool spiral water slide for the kiddo's) is so crowded throughout the day by them that my boys don't want to go in. We look longingly at the near-empty Nassau or Tangiers pool across the way and have started thinking... But none of this stuff is the Fleur's fault at all. Just timing, and you can't choose your co-guests. So are there better motels to stay for the price and quality? Maybe. I've read/heard the Aquarius is pretty nice/competitive, and the nearby Starlux is also top-rate (it's a Morey's motel after all), both of those are further up on the boardwalk stretch to boot. I love love love the Jolly Roger (I stayed right down Palm Road from it as a kid in the late 60's and always went to their movie night!). Maybe it's a better deal, and the Tenaglia's are a fantastic family-owner business, but it's further down the Crest. Not so much of a biggie since there's the Jitney Surfer shuttle to the boardwalk if you don't want to drive (and who really wants to), but it is an older property with commensurate "issues" like in-wall A/C that may not cool both rooms as well, quirky retro-deco you might not like... whatever. Bottom line, you really can't go wrong staying here. It's a great stay, and the beach location is perfect. Really hard-pressed to find a better place than this. I'm getting the feeling we might try some place else, say "Meh", and just come back to the Fleur. read more

Amazing place to stay in the Crest. My husband and I go to Wildwood every year, and every year we switch up motels, looking for "the one". We found it in the Fleur de Lis. I don't even like using the word motel because it doesn't do this place justice. We brought our 4 1/2 month old son along, and the owners were super helpful finding us the perfect room. The Fleur de Lis is extremely clean...cleanest I've seen in Wildwood Crest hands down. I really can't say enough good things about it! We will be back next year and I'm already looking forward to it! read more

They have high reviews but the minute someone posts a less-than-stellar review they take it off. I don't understand why. We've been coming to Wildwood Crest for many years the last week of August. Fleur de Lis is a modern motel on 3 stories. Their rooms are large enough for 4 people with a small kitchenette, and a nice patio. BUT their management is awful! If there is ever a problem - they don't care but have you deal with it. You'd think after paying $289/night for a room they'd give a damn! Tom the manager in the summer months is a jerk. The place is awfully loud during the week we're there. You can't enjoy the outdoor areas at all due to the noise level and drinking of the other guests. The noise is so loud, often times police are called. We found a better place down the street and now stay there. If you don't mind the steep price and noise and ill-management, stay here. Otherwise there are plenty of other better places to choose from. read more

After doing research on all potential affordable places to stay at by the beach, I am glad to have chosen this place. I stayed at a bedroom deluxe efficiency suite with a beach view and it was fantastic. The suite was well equipped to accommodate everyone in my party and was very clean. The entire facility, including the swimming pool, was very well-maintained. I saw friendly employees cleaning and greeting folks passing by daily. Some added bonuses to this resort includes a close walk to the beach, approximately 20 minute walk to the starting point of the boardwalk, outdoor grills for anyone interested in hosting small gatherings/parties by the pool, and parking assistance should finding parking be of a challenge. Regarding parking, there are plenty of spaces around the resort. However, the spaces aren't exceptionally big. I drove a full size SUV and had difficulty getting my party in and out if there were vehicles parked in adjacent spots. There is no dining option in the resort. However, there are plenty of great dining options within walking distance in the area. The best part about this is that they are all unique and local, no chain or fast food restaurants. This resort is on my books to return to again in the near future. Unless they are fully booked or prices become unreasonably high, I would not hesitate to book again without checking other options out. read more

It really centers and focuses on families. THERE IS A CHILDRENS POOL . A slide at the big pool or pool for adults, older children; and teenage people provide hours and hours of much pleasure. I noticed that the visitors and or customers were smiling and laughing.The customers were truly enjoying themselves. THE ARCADE OFFERED A GREAT VARIETY of swell prizes to compete for to win. We have been coming here for 10 years. The rooms and grounds are spotless, and the staff is very friendly. There are 16 people in our group, and we discovered this place while trying different locations for a family vacation. It is right on the beach and close to the end of the boardwalk, park, and bike rentals.The saltwater pool is heated and cleaned daily. There are grills available, which are meticulously cleaned every Monday. We stay the same week every year, and we have made friends with other families that come at the same time. Each room overlooks the spacious pool, and the hotel itself is so close to the beach that you can walk there without shoes. With no minimum night requirements and the classic art deco exterior, the Fleur de Lis is truly one of the perfect little Wildwood Crest hotels. I have stayed here fifteen years ago and just this weekend. The level of consistency and comfort gives me hope for the future of America. read more

The Fleur De Lis is great! Our room was comfortable, clean, and very reasonably priced. Our room had two very nice flat screen TVs, comfortable beds, a little porch area overlooking the pool, and a good sized kitchen area (stove, sink, fridge, etc). The bathroom was a little small on the small side. The pool is huge and clean. The staff were all very nice. The Fleur De Lis is in a great location. There is a direct walkway to the beach from the back entrance of the hotel. It is also conveniently located within walking distance to some of the other hotels and nice restaurants. I would absolutely go back next time I'm at the shore. read more

Just spent 4 awesome days in Wildwood at this hotel. First and foremost, the cleanliness is unreal....besides the fact that our room was spotless, the staff is constantly cleaning around the hotel (the balconies, pool areas). The rooms are all renovated and nicely decorated. There are 2 grills located near the pool area for those that want to cook out. It's located on the oceanfront and about a 10 minute walk from the boardwalk. And the staff is EXTREMELY courteous. The only caveat (and it is minor) is that the A/C in the room was loud. I would no doubt stay here again..its probably the only place I would stay in Wildwood. read more

Summer 2014. This hotel is hands down one of the best in Wildwood. Amazingly for a doo wop era beach town and there being a lot of run down dirty hotels in the area here is the exception. The cleanliness is first class! Brand new appliances and updated rooms, ample parking, and a great location being only a few blocks from the boardwalk. As you enter your room you will NOT smell that normal musty beach smell most places have. The beds are comfortable (bring your own pillow...I'm sure most of us do anyways) The bathroom in our room was by far the cleanest I have ever seen (cleaner than five star hotels we have ever stayed in) The rooms are quiet and other than the loud window style air conditioner) and well insulated. We've never been to Wildwood before, instead always opting in for our favorite, Ocean City, MD. So, when we started hotel hunting for this last minute beach trip, we found very little options (everyone was booked!) but managed to stumble upon this one... And safe to say, we weren't disappointed. First impressions through the website were good. The reviews were great and the building was right on the beach. It was also close to the boardwalk, too. So we decided to give it a shot. The room we chose came with a kitchenette attached to the living area, bath, and bedroom with two full sized beds. We also ended up being on the first floor right next to the pool, which was great for my nephew who loves swimming. The room was quiet, even with the hotel next to us playing live music (that we happily listened to in our little plastic chairs outside our door). I have to mention the cleanliness of the room - never have I seen a hotel so clean before! The place we stay at in Maryland is nowhere near the spotlessness of the Fleur. I was very impressed. We didn't have much interaction with the people who worked there, especially since we only stayed for a few days. The maids seemed very attentive, and the man at the check-in desk was very informative and friendly when my sister asked questions about the local area. Overall, I was quite pleased. It's quiet, family friendly, and close to some of the local activities in the area. The only issues I had were the not-so-decent water pressure in the shower and uncomfortable beds. But that wasn't enough to dock and entire star for me. We will definitely be checking this place out again next time we come to Wildwood! read more

What a fantastic motel! I'm used to scuzzy beach motels that are just a room to leave your stuff in but this was actually a nice place to stay. When we checked in, the front desk people(i believe one was the manager) were very friendly and let us into our room early. Later in the week they even delivered a package we had to emergency order from amazon right up to our room when we arrived back! When one of the blinds broke the maintenance man was there immediately and was very insistent (in a kind, not pushy way) on helping us out so we'd be able to use them properly even when we said it was fine. Everyone there seemed like they genuinely wanted us to have a good experience and they did a stellar job! Overall, the place was incredibly clean and comfortable with a friendly and inviting atmosphere. While we were there, it was calm and with a few families, no partying or crazy neighbors which may just be the time we were there. Pool was clean and great temperature and the chairs were comfy to lay out in. There was a grill at the pool that we saw them clean daily if not more often, and even washed the windows regularly. The room cleaners had a very lengthy check list and you can tell that they take it to heart, even the details. It's right near the beach so you can walk down and back up for lunch with just a few minutes of walking. The boardwalk is a few minutes walk and then you can rent bikes or grab the tram car to get to the heart of the boardwalk. You do only get one parking spot but it was early enough in the season that we could find street parking nearby. Definitely recommend this place. read more

Clean hotel close to the beach, with 1 bedroom efficiencies and standard motel rooms. Rooms on the 1st floor tend to be very noisy because they are right near the pool where children run around and yell. Rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors don't have this problem, although beware of the rooms near the elevator which are very noisy. Rooms overlooking the ocean on floor 2 and 3 are much smaller than the rooms overlooking the pool, yet cost the same. Don't understand why.. Management tends to tolerate loud guests, especially those who come late August and stay up past 11pm, gather on the patios and in front of their rooms and make nuisances out of themselves. When you pay $250/night+ tax for a motel room, you want to be able to get a good night's sleep, not put up with noisy neighbors who party & drink into the night. After all, there's a reason there are signs of an 11pm curfew. You'd think the hotel would stick to this - otherwise why put up the signs. Would not stay here again due to the noise. Also, $250/night+ tax for a motel room is pricey, especially for the Jersey shore - not really worth the $$. Stay one block inland and pay much less -- $175/night and get the same service. All the motels on the Crest are the same - not sure how Fleur de Lis gets away with charging so much $$. read more

Had a wonderful 1st stay at the Fleur de Lis resort. I would give 6 stars if I could, that is how awesome our time was. We stayed in a 2 bed, 2 bath condo which was very clean, spacious and nicely appointed. The heated pool literally saved our get away, since the weather was a bit cool the first day and the waterslide was a big hit with the kids. I have not seen a hotel clean daily as the staff did - outside windows, pool seats, even the railing were constantly being cleaned. We already booked our stay for next year. This motel is the go to place to stay if you are going to Wildwood. The rooms are immaculate, the staff is friendly and very attentive. The ONLY thing I would be careful of and this applies to a few motels in Wildwood is that the 3rd week of August is Ukranian week. They party until 2-3 in the morning and I even had a guy playing an accordion at one point. They are loud and drunk which made it especially obnoxious since it's a family oriented place. Our new home away from home in Wildwood Crest. Longtime visitors to Wildwood (35+ years), our family decided to make the switch from the ramshackle, increasingly inadequate lodging we used to take at our old favorite spot in favor of the Fleur de Lis. It's a different world. Friendly, caring, proud staff who understand the business of customer service, proximity to the beach and boardwalk, clean, updated rooms and property, and a nice mix of families all mean that the Fleur de Lis will, from now on, be our preferred place to stay. We already booked our next visit for August, grabbing the last room after having decided not to even bother coming back down and staying elsewhere if we couldn't get it. We absolutely love this place! We have been visiting for over 5 years and each time is such a treat! The staff is very friendly and the owner is so family oriented! Even with all the hundreds of people that visit annually, he still remembers our family when we arrive! The resort is so clean and the rooms are updated with new appliances, flooring, bedding, and furniture. The pool is heated and clean! We spend our entire day at the pool! Really I wish I could give it 3.5 stars. The rooms are a decent size and the little kitchenette is great, but the bathroom is TINY. One thing that bothered me was there were no tissues, I found it odd. Also, the pillows in the bedroom were incredibly hard. Thankfully I had brought one of mine from home in the car. Fleur de lis was so clean and the cleaning service made it cleaner it was a few blocks from the geourgous boardwalk and a few steps away from the beach and bike rental. Plus there's a very long bike trail with historic things on the way. The pool lights up different colors at night. And it's just beautiful. The staff is so nice and happy and pleasant like they really want to do their job. You hear the beach in the morning and the best thing at night is moreys pier. The bathroom is big and the rooms are nice. You won't regret this and plus there's a tanning deck and BBQ grill. I mean who wouldn't love this hotel!!!!!! read more

this flea motel sucks! my husband and i stayed last year and we were disgusted by the filth we saw when we walked through the door of our room! hair was still in the bathroom sink, food was left to rot in the trash so the overpowering stench of rotten food gagged us grom the door. what was more horrible is how manager handled it. we were told to basically take it or leave with no refund. after traveling all the way down from canada, we decided to stay if the room could be cleaned. the manager never sent the maid by!!!! this place is a class a dump. read more
