It's a White Castle; you either love it or hate it. I happen to love it. I stop by this location occasionally for a crave crate here and there, but I love the Lent special- the crab cake sliders. I honestly didn't think they would be nearly as good as they are, but I make a special trip for them at least once every year. Stopped in to get my fix this year and there was no sauce. Dry crab cake on a dry bun. Instant disappointment. I had to go back through and get the sauce separately. Staff was nice about it and gave me some sauce to go. Tried the clam strips for a snack also, and they were very good.

Stopped in for the first time a few weeks ago. I managed to get served immediately and received my food in under three minutes. In college, I used to eat a lot of White Castle, but I hadn't revisited any WC location in years, so it was kind of fun to see what this one was like. It was basically like every other WC operation- clean, functional, quick service, tasty little sliders and great fries. My food was hot and tasted good for fast food. For the quality, it was a good value. Three sliders and an order of fries were under $5. Yep, the sliders were tiny, but the order of fries was pretty good for the price. Plus, .99 cent sliders are cheap, quick lunch/pit stop. It filled me up for the afternoon, until I got a chance to have a large dinner. They have black bean veggie sliders now, too, plus fish and a huge breakfast menu. The veggie burger slider wasn't bad, especially with honey mustard sauce. The original WC slider tasted just the same as it always has, even though I wouldn't eat it that often now. Inside, this WC is decorated with old black/white pics depicting White Castle locations in the 50's and 60's.

I had really high expectations after watching "Harold and Kumar" ----they swore up and down that these burgers were the bomb. Warm little bun with chopped onions on a slab of beef --- sounds good to me. So I'm a total California girl --- born and raised. We don't have White Castles in California. When I finally got a chance to be in Michigan, I figured, "Holy shit, hubby, take me to a White Castle!!" We get there and they offer several variations of this "mini-gem" ---- we ordered the classic (beef and onions), classic and cheese, classic with jalapenos, and classic with bacon. We waited for a good 6 minutes, because the dumb ass in front of us ordered the whole store. But I'm thinking, "WHATEVER! This is worth the wait --- Harold and Kumar said it was, so it must be true." We finally get our "gems," --- I open up the bag and I am shocked. Harold and Kumar lied to me the whole time ---- my burgers were smashed up, and my buns were drenched in grease. I took a bite of the classic, and it tasted like ass. My husband said to me, "I told you they weren't that great." What?? You never said that to me! You swore up and down they were tasty! But I could see how these "nasty- gems" are good "munchy" food ---- all that grease soaks up all that weed and alcohol!

First off let me say that they STAFF IS AWFUL!!!!!! The girl that took our order didn't smile (she actually liked pissed that we disturbed her while she was standing around doing nothing), didn't say hi or anything, she just stood there and stared at us! When we asked if she was ready to take our order she was so rude. We have been here several times and this is how it always is at this store, not sure what is going on with staffing. Now the food....These burgers are meh IF you put cheese on them, but they are greesy nasty little burgers of yuck! I tried the Veggie Slider and that was actually ok (better than the original ones!). The chicken rings we like, as well as the fries. After all the hype of these burgers I was very disappointed with them.

Driving back to Los Angeles from Toronto and my son wants White Castle Burgers. Well it's available at Sam's club so what's the big deal. Now, the deal is.....it's super super good.

Typical White Castle with just the food you would expect -- those "sliding" little burgers and delicious, crinkle-cut fries. A real treat!

I thought it would be more fast food in appearance, and in some ways it was with the self serve drink dispenser and plastic silverware, but aesthetically it was far more pleasing than any typical fast food burger spot. You know who I'm talking about. The counter person was absolutely wonderful dealing with us and our questions. Now onto the important stuff. Burgers are two patties and massive. You are definitely getting your money's worth. We split 3 different ones amongst us and they were all good: the mushroom, the southwest, and the brunch. The meat itself is a little flavorless but that might be cause typically I have the meat cooked to medium and these were well done. We weren't asked how we want them cooked so I'm assuming this is just how the cook all the patties. What I didn't like were the fries. They were cold and chewy like they have been sitting around for a while. My son ordered a caramel and it was absolutely delicious. So that was a huge positive. Overall it was a good experience and the prices were in good for the amount of food you get. I would definitely go again.

I even knew what I wanted before I got there, I love, love, LVE the Southern Omelette. My friend chose the Meat Lovers Omelette with the Flint Chili Sauce on the side. Additionally, we both wanted the Mega Cinnamon Roll French Toast. According to the menu, that can be added to any breakfast for $4.99. We're both Senior citizen. We typically eat part of our meals out then, bring the rest home to enjoy the next day. That was our plan for the Mega Cinnamon Roll French Toast. When our server presented the bill, I was taken aback by the total. It was almost $50.00; I just knew it shouldn't have been that much! I brought it to the attention of our server. (I wished I remembered her name; she was a sheer delight). She took the bill and said she would resolve the problem. Shortly thereafter, another young lady (I presume a manage), approached our booth in an huff asking about what we'd ordered. I replied the Mega Cinnamon Roll French Toast as I pointed to it on the menu with the highlighted Add to Any Breakfast for $4.99. We were told that since we were getting the French Toast to go, the $4.99 price was not in play. That didn't make sense to us. We only ate 1/2 our omelettes and we were taking the remainder of that with us. So let me see if I've got this correct. If we had opted to have the French Toast sent out with our omelettes, then requested to go containers, that would have been permissible? It seems to me, it would have been more financially prudent to make the adjustment (at least in this instance) instead of just canceling the French Toast. Before I could offer my logic, the young lady abruptly walked away in a huff while shouting to the kitchen staff, forget the French Toast. My goodness, what happened to the customer is always right? What began as a day of celebration turned sour within minutes. I haven't been back since. Yes, the food at Mega is yummy delicious, no denying that. The manger though, was so nasty and rude, I don't plan on ever going back.
