I rate places relative to what they're trying to be, and on a fast food scale, this White Castle is a 1 star. The restaurant was filthy. Floors were sticky and visibly dirty, tables had clearly not been wiped down, and crumbs and grease were everywhere. The entire dining room was filled with a smoky haze, like the vent hoods were not working at all. It felt grimy just sitting there. The food was fast, but clearly at the expense of temperature and quality. The sliders were barely warm and the cheese did not melt, which is impressive considering melting cheese is one of the main job requirements here. The staff seemed checked out and in a bad mood. I do not fully blame them. This reflects poor management and long term neglect. This place does not feel like it is having a bad day. It feels like it has been having the same bad day for a long time. Fast food does not need to be fancy, but it does need to be clean, functional, and hot. Sad to think this is what you come to expect from White Castle, and even sadder that it somehow still managed to fall short. read more

Stopped by White Castle for a quick bite and split a Sack of Cheeseburgers with my family along with some chicken rings -- all for around $15, which is hard to beat! The sliders were exactly what we expected: hot, cheesy, and packed with that classic White Castle flavor. The chicken rings were crispy and fun to share. It's not gourmet, but it hit the spot and made for a fun, nostalgic treat. Service was quick, and everything came out fresh. This may be the worst White Castle that I have ever been to. First, it was 3:00 in the afternoon and was not busy. It still took over 20 minutes to get five sliders and some mozzarella sticks. The coke machine was spilling water all over the floor. Two people looked at it and had no idea what to do. They finally put a plastic container on the machine to catch the water. The only problem was that it did not catch one drop of water. We did not get the cokes we ordered and left without getting a refund for them. This location had only one employee working. He was trying to keep up, but was talking the orders, cooking the food and handling the money. We had to throw out the order out after we saw him handle the cash then handle our food without gloves or hand washing. Kind of felt bad for the guy being in his own, but really bad management to put him in that kind of position. 2 star read more

I saw an ad for a 6 pack, you could get any combination of the three variations of the sloppy joe sliders... for 6 dollars.... Ok, you have my interest... I like sloppy joes, so I thought I would give them a try.... and I did... I was very disappointed with the taste... as in no taste, or very little.... Such a guilty (and usually a regrettable) pleasure. I always forget this White Castle location is available but it's saved us when our bellies are growling beyond the typical dinner hours. We never go inside so I can only speak to the drive-thru experience. Sometimes we even park and eat in the car. Have we waited awhile for our food? Sure, but I'm not sure why more people don't factor this in. White Castle is a fast food joint and open late which means they're working on a skeleton crew busting their butts to take orders, cook and exchange money for food. If your time is limited, come back another day. Our burgers and fries have always been consistent, delicious and hot. I ask for them without onions which actually means the onion flavor with only a few onions. The Düsseldorf mustard is also a classic and perfect for dipping. I went through the drive through without any wait. The gentlemen and lady workers created a juicy not greasy burger. I could not believe that I did not get heartburn. We ordered 30 breakfast sandwiches this morning, which should've been ordered ahead of time, but this was last min. The staff was very FRIENDLY & apologetic for the extended wait & offered free coffee. In addition to the 5 star svc., the sandwiches were 5 star as well The eggs weren't pre-mixed in a carton, but were actually whole & broken over the griddle-tasted homemade! Food is great, but the people inside won't open the lobby for patrons to eat in. Let's be honest...out of all of the fast food restaurants, White Castle needs a lobby. The sweet scent of sliders will linger in your car for weeks, and too much of a good thing isn't good. My son is 5 years old and shouts "Dad! Let's get some mini cheeseburgers!" Alas, we can't. My son is 5 and half of his meal will end up in the seat cracks. I went by a few days ago and the lobby was closed, so I had to use the drive-thru. There were at least 5 people working inside, but the lobby was still off limits. I know people like to be antisocial and eat in their car in the corner of the parking lot nowadays. But for those of us who choose to still be a part of society, please open the lobby. Super dirty and it was about 11:15 ish when I went in there. Also it smelled really, really bad. I really wanted to try the Impossible burger and they make them fresh - right when ordered - so I went ahead and ordered and then walked out to wait in my car. I honestly can't believe I ate it. I arrived at White Castle 10:06am in the drive thru no line no waiting. The rep asked me to hold and continued to hold for what turned into 6 minutes. I politely ordered 3 bacon egg and cheese a medium hash brown and an orange juice. The lady repeated my order gave my total and i preceded to the window. I then waited an additional 4 mins for someone to approach the window. The lady came to the window very sweaty wiping her hands on a dirty apron to take my money. Another 5 mins goes by and she hands me my food. I looked in my bag and it was not what i had ordered 2 sausage egg and cheese and 1 bacon egg and cheese. 20 minutes of waiting with no one in line, being approached with poor hygiene, and then the wrong order...no thank you refund please ewww this was my first visit to this location and i was very dissatisfied. read more

The greatest guilty pleasure of fast food! Haha what can I say... I'm a huge fan! Of course I like white tablecloths, escargot, duck confit paired with 100 dollar bottles of wine... but I also can appreciate the perfect combination of thin beef patty's with holes, a perfect salty dill pickle and onions all sandwiched between two white fluffy buns that have been steamed heated on the grill! It's the perfect guilty pleasure that I'll never give up! You either love or hate this castle made of white! So I've recently been hearing of the breakfast sandwiches they now offer... being a bit skeptical, I decided to try the other day, and sure glad I did! Bacon/sausage with cheese and egg! Didn't think they could top their burgers but they're def giving it a run for the money! So, don't knock it till you try it! The cheese sliders were hot and fresh! Just perfect! I noticed when I got home, that I was overcharged on my bill. I called the location, spoke to general manager, Karen, who was just terrific. We resolved the problem, I was indeed overcharged by $3.65. I don't live very close to that location, just happen to be over there on some business. Karen took my name and address, and dropped the refund in an envelope, in my mailbox! Talk about exceeding my expectations! That was a true gesture of supreme customer service.
