Depending on what time of day you go you may or may not be there for more than 20 minutes. The attitude of the manager that was there both time I went was very rude, four people walk by for at least 5 minutes before someone finally came and asked me if I had ordered yet, I just shook my head put my order in and waited, and waited, and waited some more! Almost 15 minutes had passed, and not one employee gave me a heads up or let me know while my food was taken extremely long for two double cheeseburgers and a small order of fries The only reason why I go to that White Castle is because I live only a few minutes away. I would love to say that was the only time but unfortunately it's been multiple times I've gotten the same treatment. They honestly never get my order completely right Anyway so I'll check the 15 to 20 minute drive down to Elizabeth avenue in Newark where my order is guaranteed to be on point, the service is going to be friendly for sure, and I don't have to drive off hungry and miserable because I just paid for food that I may or may not eat. And last but not least, I'm sure they're probably are some good workers at that White Castle on Scotland road / Central ave. It's just so unfortunate that I've gone there more times than I can count, and really have I encountered a nice employee there. The wait time is unbelievable long especially for my simple order.. two double cheeseburgers, no pickle and a small fry. A Great deal for your money and fun compared to the Golden Arches and BK bc of the Variety which includes the Impossible Burger for vegetarians in a smaller version and the fish nibblers which you can't find in any other fast food place. This White Castle has been here for a long time, but a year or so ago they remodeled it for the better. Much better layout and much cleaner on the inside. This review speaks to going inside, which for me is usually preferable to Drive thru personally. I went with some awesome coupons to get a bunch of sliders and everything was pretty smooth. The team looked young, but attentive to taking orders, and busy cooking which was pretty lax for a Friday night. The guy taking my orders was nice throughout, took my sliders to go, which were good and hot when I got back to eat them and the restaurant itself was clean looked attended to which was good. I like to imagine this is how it is for the most part here, especially considering this location is still fairly newly remodeled. The Sliders were just as I'd hoped - great. I even had a sloppy joe slider which was also great. White Castle isn't my favorite, but my visit here was nice and sometimes, we just get the crave for Sliders. If you do, come here. read more

Definitely satisfied a White Castle craving the other night! Since we're all on lockdown and cooking at home a lot more, I haven't been here in a long time! Most fast food places in this area have either limited hours to go inside for pickup or the inside is closed completely and they only offer drive-thru because of coronavirus. Therefore, the drive-thru lines sometimes wrap around the building or into the street in some cases. The night I went it wasn't too bad and the wait was minimal. Got my usual go-to #1 Combo of 4 cheeseburgers, fries and Coke. Plus throw in 2 more burgers cuz I'm a fatty and all I'm wearing are sweatpants now for the past 2 months! I have visited many white castles and while there are a few as bad maybe even worse than this one, this is definitely among the worst I've ever been to. If you go inside and watch them prepare the food, it is very messy and things seem to be handled in a sloppy fashion. They are also much slower than many of the other places I have been to. On August 1, my significant other went to the White Castle on Central Ave in Orange NJ. We had to wait twenty five minutes for our order. When we f finally got our food,, the onion rings were missing. So we had to wait an additional ten ms to get them. The soda machine is broken. Most of the choices are blacked out. So we had to wait another five minutes while the woman behind the counter got us two cherry cokes. The burgers were good, but the onion rings were terrible, all breading and no onion inside. My man raves about this place. Even before *that movie* came out, White Castle held a special place in his heart. (INB4 "hipster!") Maybe it's 'cause it was early in the day, but the appearance of the place wasn't at all what I imagined. It was spotless. OK, there was one non-customer guy who was loitering around, but he didn't hassle us and even gave us some advice about the bathroom (it's locked; ask the employees to open it for you). Oh yeah, the cleanliness of the bathroom was pretty acceptable too. What was good, you ask? EVERYTHING. Yeah, if you care at all about your health, this isn't food you'll want to eat everyday, but c'mon. Live a little, Jade. Just promise me you won't eat a whole Crave Case by yourself. Let me preface that this review is for their Valentine's Day special, complete with reservations, decorations, table clothes and table service. This all started out as a joke for my mom to take my dad because White Castle is his only guilty pleasure, but somehow my boyfriend and I got roped into joining and it was such a fun night! Typically we just grab a crave case during takeout, but going in opened our eyes to the other items they sell. We ordered a wide array of food to share including burgers, fries, onion rings, chicken rings, a fish slider, fish bites, a crab cake slider and shrimp bites. Who knew, right? Everything was fresh and hot and I was pleasantly surprised that nothing was overly greasy. Our sweet waitress, Danet, took our order and even helped with narrowing down the above list. The manager, Miss Money, has been working at White Castle since she was 19 and is getting ready to retire at her 40th year of service (someone give this woman an award!). Both Danet and Miss Money made sure to check in on us throughout the evening and even gave out complimentary Hershey's mini candies a few times during our meal. This white castle has been there forever. Just last year they tore it down and rebuilt it from the ground up. When I visited for the first time there was a new staff. They were bright and cheery. Now it seems like they left, and the staff has went back to basic. By basic I mean no smiles and just going through the motions. The food is the same. Trust me though, when they leave out the extra onion rings and chicken rings, along with 10 of the 40 burgers you thougth it was a good idea to order, it will make you madder than you ever thought possible. However, you will thank god tomorrow that you didn't have one more bite than you did. That said, if you're one of those rare individuals impervious to Montezuma's Revenge or any other kind of stomach ailment, they're open 24 hours so you can always return and polish off the rest of your sliders and rings for breakfast. Lets start off by saying I love white castles but this location fails me everytime. I placed a mobile order via the app and arrived at pick up time.   Went to the lady at the counter and said I have a mobile order. I gave them the order number and then they started to work on my order. She marks the order as completed even though it is not. What is the point of ordering ahead of time? Finally 30 minutes after scheduled pick up time I get my order.  No apologies or explanation. I really like their Impossible Sliders, but I doubt I'll be returning. They constantly either mess up my order or it's extremely delayed because they don't see my online order. I once even paid and didn't recieve my food and never got a refund. Today they didn't have the Impossible sliders in stock and waited until the Door Dash driver got there to tell me. This consistently terrible service will prevent me from going back, especially since Burger King will be releasing their Impossible Whopper on Thursday. Has nothing to do with the food but there are people hanging out begging for money as you pull through the drive through. I am 100% compassionate for people in need UNTIL a similar situation when I ran in to a 7/11 and there was a guy hanging out asking everyone for money. I got back in the car after going into the store and stupid me, I left my door unlocked and sure enough I come back to my backpack stolen right out of my car and the that guy gone! He got my back pack, and a 600 car key. That's accurate because I called the dealer to get it replaced. He also got my boat keys (boat in a different state) and a bunch of paperwork that would only be useful to me and will be several hours to redo! I am now on guard for these situations. The lint being is I am in line waiting to pay for a quick bite and while waiting looking at my phone only to be shocked with someone knocking on my window to ask for money. This is nonsense. I said something to the worker when my turn to pay. I stated that this could end up being dangerous and you need to do have your management do something about it. Her repose - the police don't care so what do you expect us to do. So my answer. Get a security guard and eat the charge to keep your customers safe as they are the ones paying for your salary. White Castle in Orange is like Frogger. When you go at 3AM, which is the only time u should ever go, you are playing on a hard difficulty. Your goal is to navigate around the restaurant parking lot avoiding beggars and shootings while trying to make yourself to the bulletproof drive thru window. If you can find enough change in your ash tray to pay for the meal, you will be rewarded with delightful little burgers. Order onion rings, not fries. The fries suck.
