After phoning in my order yesterday, I looked at my call history and hadn't been here since July 2025. So here is an updated review. I ordered an italian chicken cutlet sandwich (chopped), fries comes on it of course, along with mayo, ketchup, pepper (hold the salt), and grilled onions (hold the peppers). I usually go with a half portion is more than enough; a whole could easily feed two or more people. I am glad to see that that hasn't changed, despite the prices going up and the 3% surcharge if you do not pay in cash. Pro tip: if you can, pay in cash!!! My sandwich was delicious! Better than the last time. It was made precisely to my liking, just the way I ordered it. The service over the phone was friendly and in the store for pick up it was efficient and swift. I was in and out, thankfully, because it was crowded. If ever the craving strikes again, I'll be back! read more

Okay, I'm writing this while finishing the rest of my lunch because this place deserves the review immediately. A content creator's video popped up on my timeline, and I'm so glad it did. I immediately looked this shop up, and it absolutely did not disappoint. I ordered the #4 Half Italian Sub (pictured), and my fiancé got the Unlimited Cheeseburger Sandwich (not pictured), which was HUGE. Both sandwiches were incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. The experience was even better because of the staff. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted so warmly. They could tell it was our first visit, recommended their favorite sandwiches, and shared a little about the shop's history and how long they've been in business. Metered parking outback. There are multiple locations, but this has always been the one I came to since it's 4 blocks from my Grandmother's house. Food made to order, so call ahead if you're in a rush. They just do everything right here! I went with the classic Italian cheeseburger (1/2). I had to try this restaurant because a couple of my friends absolutely swear by this place. I am so glad I did the restaurant was clean the people were extremely helpful and friendly. I had a 45 minute drive back home so of course the sandwich didn't make it to the kitchen table. I ordered the Italian cheesesteak with fried onions and peppers. The woman who took my order answered quick, was friendly, and repeated my order to me (correctly). I ordered a hot pastrami for myself, the meat was sliced thin and the bread was soft. Always my first stop when coming back home to Jersey, but I have noticed since the pandemic the meat is almost invisible on a turkey sub.

First off, great service!!! Immediately when I walked in, I felt seen and throughout the process, it continued. You can tell it's apart of the culture vs. just a one off person who's super friendly. I've been to Sandwiches Unlimited more times than I can count, and I've found things to be consistent. Organized confusion and slow service, but really good sandwiches! They are following the proper protocols for Covid, so no worries in that area. They take your temperature at the door, only a certain amount of people are allowed in at a time, no one is allowed to dine- in, the workers are all wearing masks & gloves and there's a plastic barrier between you and them. It's so confusing when trying to order a sandwich here. They have some type of system that only they understand, and it leaves everyone else confused! I highly recommend placing your order on the phone, although they require a credit card number for all phone orders! Sometimes the workers are friendly and sometimes they're not. I must say that there's one guy there who goes above and beyond to speak to everyone and make them feel welcomed. Hopefully his positive energy will rub off on the rest of the staff one day!! Don't visit this place if you're in a rush because they definitely won't be! It takes them a long time to prepare your food, BUT everything is cooked to order and honestly they are very busy! I've never gotten anything that I didn't like! I've had several hot & cold sandwiches, salads and slices of cake, too! Their staple is the Italian cheeseburger in my opinion!! I have been craving a chicken cutlet sandwich and I was finally going to be able to get one. I called and they said they would be open by 9:30am so arrived a little after. I parked in the parking lot and tried to go in but the door was locked. I was waiting for like a minute or two before someone came to the door and said to give them 10 more minutes and to xo2me back. I told them I don't live around there and she said she will take my order by the door. She took it and went inside. I waited about 10 minutes or so outside before she let me in. I have been to this location a couple years ago. The sandwich was good so I decided to have at it again. The parking is absolutely HORRIBLE. Not their fault I guess with all the other local businesses around. So it took me a couple times driving around and around until someone finally pulled out. I just waited then a young lady calls out pastrami with American cheese. That was the lady order that was in front of me but she walked away somewhere. She calls it twice then moved on to my order. Onions and banana peppers. She wraps my order and puts it to the side then calls out another sandwich. I'm standing there looking like "Huh hello". So I yell to her can I pay for it that's all I have. She grabs it and walks away. From there I go get on another long line to pay. A minute or 2 later another lady yells pastrami with provolone. As I'm walking up from the back of the line, I see the lady who was in front of me approach the counter. After confirming it was my order I told the lady "they were calling you for your order a little bit ago" I paid my $15.00 bucks for a half of sandwich. That's my experience in the store now let's get to the taste.. Bread was soggy on one side so yuck . The sandwich is super big. I had trouble eating a quarter piece. There is so much meat I'm sure I'm going to make me 2-3 more sandwiches from it. The meat a bit fatty, not very flavorful but I rather that than salty. Last time, I got a small chopped salad with regular turkey, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and pickles. No cheese, salt, pepper, oil or vinegar. I got Russian dressing on the side and complimentary crackers. It was made as ordered and very tasty. I had it to go. The wait can vary depending on the time of day so I recommend calling ahead about 15 mins. I'll post a photo the next time I go. The service is very friendly but it can be a tad rushed due to the volume of orders (in-person, over the phone, and I think online). So it's best to know what you want a head of time.
