The burgers were beyond disgusting, so much so that they were immediately discarded. The bread element was akin to soup. What in the actual f***? Who are these people that work here and who owns this location? They are aggressively mean to the unsuspecting people that voluntarily come here. For some reason, a cone was placed in the drive through lane so the person taking orders had to come to your car to get your credit card and bring the food out. First and foremost I am only giving 2 stars because of the drive thru. I am originally from Indiana, now live in Florida. Anytime I am up this way, I always go to White Castle. This particular one aggravated me due to the AI controlled ordering system. I wanted 10 cheeseburgers, no pickles, it told me the 10 sack option is no longer available (didn't ask for the meal) and that modifications aren't allowed. Went to White Castle today they have just finished remodeling I will say it looks nice but I think it was a big waste of money. Now there is way less seating and where the bathroom is seems to me right in the middle of the dining area. And I believe it has only been open 2 or 3 weeks since the remodel and the bathroom already looking ran down. The service was alright but has lots of room for improvement. I recently visited White Castle, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The sliders were, as always, perfectly seasoned and delightfully juicy, with that unique White Castle flavor that's simply irresistible. I was at White Castle third car in line employee came to car to collect payment. I gave him my bank card for the payment, he went into the building, he came back out with three different orders. He proceeded to give each customer their order and when he gave me my order he started walking off so I had to ask him for my card and he just looked at me funny and then proceeded to go back into the building for 5 minutes. I finally had to go up to the window to ask for my card and then he told me he gave my card to another customer so I then I asked for the manager and the manager told me there was nothing she could do and told me to pull out of line and when I said no she shut the door. I proceeded to knock on the door for the district managers number and she had said she could not give out that information. Grease soaked buns. Temperamental soda machine. Good fries. Genuinely disappointed and had to tell my friend to not give up on White Castle despite this experience. The area around the soda machine looked messy so I dropped my usual White Castle order of about 8 of the little things to just the #1, a 4 burger combo. Figured I'd get more later if I wanted more. Then I went to grab a drink from the soda machine. The spigots had issues. The orange juice one in particular seemed to have been pointed out at me. I switched to root beer as that hadn't seemed to attack my friend. It was fine. Then we got our burgers. In short, the bottom bun was so soaked with grease it had its own unique flavor and squishiness. At least, the fries were crisp, but this was not indicative of my other White Castle experiences. I grew up with White Castle and they being the sole place open 24/7 in the 60s and 70s. I loved having a place to eat hot food during a "graveyard" shift. You don't fully appreciate something until you can't get it anymore. I lived in New Orleans for 20 yrs and no White Castles. Then I lived in Tucson, AZ with no White Castles west of the Mississippi River. Finally moved back to my hometown state after leaving 42 years ago. White Castle is one of the top five things I missed the most! The frozen burgers sold in the grocery are just not the same. A movie theater in Tucson offered them too and they still were frozen but prepared with a steamer. It's better than a microwave but still not the real thing. Now that I'm back its a weekly visit for me. I tried the Fish Slider today and it was good. Definitely worthy of ordering again. Now if I could just get lil miss to try their chicken I would have someone to come with me to eat here. The Sloppy Joe was a bust imo but hey; you keep trying new ideas. So after the iconic movie Harold and Kumar. I was on a long road trip and I had seen a White Castle. So doing as the movie did I pulled into the location. It was the most wonderful atmosphere. A retro styled diner, super clean and to my surprise there was no customers. I went and looked at the menu they had not 1 but 2 vegan burgers. One being the impossible burger and the other was a vegan slider. The vegan sliders were only 99 cents each. Wow !! So I bought an impossible burger combo and of course 4 sliders with another fries and a drink. The total of my items came to $12.00 this was 5 burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks. Which I think is pretty amazing. We waited for approximately 10 minutes. The impossible burger was not my favourite but it was a good choice. I found the sliders were so delicious and a cute size. 2 were perfect for me. I'd highly recommend checking them out for their vegan options. I use to love White Castle. I never lived near one so every time I took a trip I'd try to find one on my route. I stopped by this one going from OHIO to MISSOURI. The Burgers were gross, I couldn't believe how horrible they were. I ordered six thinking I was going to enjoy them and only ate two. I should have made a complaint to the manager but I was so grossed out I just wanted to leave. Lucky for me I found a Culver's not too far down 70. Because of this, I'll probably never eat White Castle again. This is my first visit to the Castle. I have had the supermarket version of the Castle sliders before my visit. This is a first on a few fronts. The double cheese come with three bun Mc Donald's style, but that where the similarity ends. The burger are much thinner than expected, the cheese doesn't taste like cheese, the onions have an artificial onion soup taste, and the fries are inexcusably bland and soft. For price comparison to other competitors White Castle loses. $6.09 for the #2 combo. Wendy's, Burger King and Mc Donald's all have combo of the same content for $4 plus tax. This White Castle has been closed for the last two Saturday nights "due to maintenance" I really think they're lying and it was due to lack of staffing considering there were no maintenance people in the store and they were open regular hours besides Saturday's. Have always had a great experience but this time when I ordered the same as I always do my bill was much higher. The meal I got has the 20 sliders and 4 small fries, with one price. Today I was charged an extra $7.16 for fries. I didn't order extra fries which I didn't get anyway, but that was alot to pay for something that was already added in the package.
