Cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, toast, chicken and eggs over light, double plate, scattered light

The food was good, as expected. Nobody does cheesy scrambled eggs like they do. The service was fast and friendly and the place was clean.

I have always loved Waffle House since I started driving by myself, going to work for the first time and attending Indiana University Southeast. No matter what state I have lived in, Waffle House has always been there for an inexpensive quality breakfast or lunch. This Plainfield location has handled Covid well. If they can adapt and keep their dining room open anybody can but unfortunately too many don't make the effort and close their dining rooms. No matter how busy the grill person is, I am always amazed at how quickly they can complete your order for one person. If you are group of four, it's still fast and only a couple of minutes longer. The kids always get their waffles and they *are* good. I think their cheeseburgers are better than any chain fast food place with a drive thru. They all have the same grill, except BK, but Waffle House's just taste better to me. And I love their hash browns and I like to experiment with how I order them. Don't forget you can get your hash browns 256 different ways :-) But breakfast is my favorite thing to order here. I don't think anyone can do it better or faster. I don't know, maybe I'm biased because I've been a patron for so long. Also, I always tip way more here than anywhere else percentage wise. A meal is so inexpensive, the percentage needs to be higher to give your server a decent tip and feel good about it.

I was excited to see the Waffle House sign and wanted breakfast. I had the two egg breakfast with sausage and hash browns. I also had a side order of grits. My guest had the All-Star Breakfast with hash browns, sausage and a waffle. Our server Bub did an outstanding job and kept my unsweetened tea glass full. The food was great and was exactly what I expected. Give this place a try and I will be back.

Our waitress Amy very pleasant. And the food was great as always. Very good place to eat.

Ummm.... First off, if you don't like your job, find another line of work. That needs to be conveyed to the young lady who took our order and brought us our food and drinks. Our food was great, actually. Typical Waffle House fare. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese Texas toast melt with a chocolate chip waffle. My egg wasn't runny, but besides that everything was really good. Our server, on the other hand, stood around. Didn't buss the tables (almost all of them in the restaurant were dirty at that point). Never brought us drink refills. Deliberately ignored my father-in-law when he tried to get her attention. One of the worst servers we've had in a long time. Ugh. Sheesh! Boo! There were only two people working. The server and the cook. However, we were the only people in there for quite a while. She should have been doing something besides standing around!

Great place to eat great food severs were great came in sat down drinks came out. They were down two cooks so the server said it might take a little longer then usual. We was in no hurry so it was not a big deal for us as we are patient people it is 11:30 pm the restaurant still had 25 people fairly busy for this time of night. The cook was the only one wearing gloves while he was cooking did not see the other two wearing any . the kitchen looked clean as there was no debris on the floor employee shirts were not tucked in they all had hats on. Smooth running I think for only three people working. Aprons was on by the severs but not the cook the two girls had long hair I feel like they needed hair nets on because of helping prepare food. Our food did come out in waves tho lol waited 15 min just for the waffles. Next was the sausage then the rest lol. But they were understaffed and I was ok with that food was good I believe. I gave a three star for the hair nets was not on the lady Severs.

This location is just off Quaker Blvd. near the I-70 interchange and is quite convenient to the gaggle of airport hotels clustered around it. The building and the interior are reminiscent of Midwestern family-style restaurants. The facility is comfortable with ample seating, however, having both booths and tables. The breakfast menu features traditional Midwestern breakfast fare with pancakes, of course, as a cornerstone offering. We visited on a Friday morning and were seated right away. Our server, Amy, took care of us quickly and did a good job throughout our visit. My colleague went with the theme and got the big stack of six pancakes, too much for one sitting. He also got a side of fresh fruit, which was a nice offering. I went a little heavier and got the corned beef hash, a favorite of mine. Here, it comes with hash browns, which is a little unusual. I certainly appreciated this nuance. I also had some hash and potatoes left over to take away. We both thought our choices to be quite good. The coffee was not bad and more than adequate with food (not sure how it would be on its own, which is the ultimate test for coffee). Between the two of us with food, drink, tax and tip, we spent $42. By today's standards, that's not unreasonable. It was not a bad value considering we each had enough to take away for another meal. I would not hesitate to go back if another opportunity arose.

The service was mediocre, and the ambiance was slightly unpleasant. Of course, this was just my experience. If you decide to visit, give it a try and form your own opinion. The front desk attendant at the hotel gave us a double thumbs up on the nearby Coachman Restaurant and Lounge so we made our way over with rather high expectations. We have to admit that at first glance the Coachman doesn't suggest a superior dining experience. A somewhat tired exterior and an outdoor deck populated by smokers gave us pause but we pressed on and could not have been more pleasantly surprised by the food, drink, and service. We started with a Casamiga Ranch Water and a pint of the local amber ale. The drinks arrived in frosted glasses with the perfect degree of crispness. The star here is the prime rib. We had the 12 ounce prime which was perfectly rare and served with a large dollop of horseradish as well as a medium rare prime rib sandwich. The meat was flawlessly seasoned and impeccably tender. Our visit to the Coachman reinforced the adage that one ought not judge a book by its cover. We don't know if our adventures will take us through Plainfield again but if they do we will prioritize a meal at the Coachman!

The place has a great ambience very welcoming. The hostess greeted me very promptly and with a great smile, my server Chloe was fantastic very well informed and suggested I try the prime rib. I'm so glad I did. It was fantastic. I took the smaller cut the 8 ounce they gave you two sides. I chose the French onion soup and baked potato and everything was great. The 8 ounce was plenty big with the two sides so I'm glad I didn't get the larger one. I will be back if I'm in the area. She suggested I try the pork tenderloin next time so I will do that. Keep up the great work.

Our server Emily was cheerful and informative. A parking garage across the street served us well for dining at this restaurant and attending an event at Hendricks Live across the street. The shrimp cocktail appetizer featured fresh large shrimp with dollops of horseradish on the plate and a nice sauce. I enjoyed the steak frites entree, a generous portion of steak perfectly cooked, served with a delicious broccolini and tasty fries. My sister ordered the chicken marsala and noted that she would have liked more sauce, and the truffle potatoes were delicious. My brother said his huge pork chop was perfect, and my sister in-law recommended the sirloin steak. We had reservations and were seated at a high top table, which is not my preferred way to dine but the restaurant was full so we didn't ask to be moved. We had a bit of a wait for our entrees and chalked that up to it being Saturday night. There is a separate bar area and rooftop dining with igloos available.

I drove an hour to visit this place and saw lots of good reviews. I started off with a lemon drop and a snack short rib eggroll. The lemon drop was watery and just did not hit like I would have hoped (I'm a lemon drop girly). They do use Titos as their well so that was good. The egg roll was dry- you definitely need to dip in the wasabi aioli to make it palatable. Next up were the buffalo chicken hush puppies. I like the idea here. The inside was moist and flavorful and the outside was kind of dry and drizzled with what I think was ranch. They were ok. I have a Ceaser salad add chicken and "fried" Brussels sprouts. The salad was suppose to come the onions , there were none so the waitress brought me some. The salad was mid at best and the chicken was dry and unflavored. I asked for some spicy ranch and that saved the salad! The Brussels sprouts were pretty good. My friend had the potato soup and said it was very watery (not creamy at all). I enjoyed the live music and overall vibe but good was average. Parking is an issue as well. There is parking in the rear or a parking garage but not super convenient parking.
